9 RÉSUMÉ The Czech educational system came during the last years through many changes. Into force came the New School Act No. 561/2004 (School Act) that among others states schools' duty to conduct self-evaluation and develop their own educational programme. This thesis introduces school effectiveness research, meaningful from the end of the seventies and beginning of the eighties. In the Czech Republic the research is valid from the 1989. The aim of this thesis is to contribute to discussion on school effectiveness research in the Czech Republic, while the research is discussed from the view of school evaluation. At the same time this work offers a possibility to apply the theoretical research into Czech schools practise: their activity and evaluation. Further, one of the main statements of the school effectiveness research - that school has an impact on pupils not only on their academic knowledge but also on their future development - is investigated. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part explores theoretical data on the research and deals with its main parts: school added value, correlates of effective school, school improvement, school's quality and it also investigates the balance between external and self-evaluation. In the conclusion of the first part, there are expressed critical...

Putnová, Karolína ; Grznár, Miroslav (advisor) ; Novotná, Hana (referee)
This thesis "The Jewish identity of the third generation after the Holocaust," deals with the topic of the third generation Jews after the Holocaust. The uniqueness of this generation comes from the fact that the Jewishness of this generation must be rediscovered. The second generation after the holocaust - the parent generation of the young Jews were brought up by the first generation, the generation that completely abandoned the jewishness after the holocaust. There was nobody for the third generation to learn the jewishness from. This thesis investigates how the young people of today in the Diaspora Czech environment become Jews. This thesis concentrates primarily on the young with jewish descent, nonetheless, two of the participants were converts. Moreover, I look at the becoming a Jew through the three dimensions of Jewishness. First the ethnic dimension, based on Jewish origin and the jewish peoplehood. Secondly, the religious dimensions based on the faith in God and third, the cultural dimension. These three dimensions have been taken from contemporary theory. The research was conducted in the beginning of the 2016. As a method I used Grounded theory, to create a new theory, however, I could not aspire due to the small number of respondents. First of all, I wonder how the Jewish identity is...

Social Orientation Scale in Thematic Apperception Test
Novotná, Hana ; Soukupová, Tereza (advisor) ; Goldmann, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with a possibility of measuring levels of social skills using the Social Orientation Scale (SOS) in stories made up with the Thematic Apperception Test. In the theoretical part we introduce the Thematic Apperception Test, the scoring systems used to interpret it and the Social Orientation Scale of Goldmann and Soukupová. This part also introduces the concept of social competence, describe the characteristics of an adolescence development stage and specifics of youth detention centers, their clients and a problematic behavior observed at most of them. In the empirical part we compare two groups of adolescents, each consisting of 30 probands. The first group was made up by girls and boys currently undergoing a diagnostic stay in youth detention centers, while the second group consisted of their same-age peers from an ordinary population. To obtain the basic characteristics of the subjects under test, we employ semi-structured anamnestic interview. Furthermore, the Thematic Apperception Test is evaluated using the Social Orientation Scale and the results thereof are statistically analysed. Our research focuses mainly on figuring out the differences in the competence levels reached at the particular tables and as a whole. Besides that, the stories are analyzed content-wise, focusing...

Secondary metabolites of plant tissue culture of Trifolium pratense L.
Novotná, Hana ; Kašparová, Marie (advisor) ; Siatka, Tomáš (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacognosy Candidate: Hana Novotná Supervisor: PharmDr. Marie Kašparová, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Secondary metabolites of plant tissue culture of Trifolium pratense L. Explant cultures are perspective sources of secondary metabolites. Nevertheless production of flavonoids and isoflavonoids by the suspension culture of Trifolium pratense L. is not high. Elicitation is one of the methods used to enhance the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. Elicitation induces physiological changes, stimulates defensive or stress-induced reactions in plants and subsequently triggers the synthesis of secondary metabolites. The objective of this study was to observe the influence of two elicitors - abscisic acid and ascorbic acid - on the production of flavonoids and isoflavonoids by the Trifolium pratense L. suspension culture (Sprint variety). The culture was cultivated in Gamborg medium to which 2 mg.l-1 of 2,4- dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and 2 mg.l-1 of 6-benzylaminopurine were added, at the temperature of 25 řC and 16 hours light / 8 hours dark period. The best elicitation effect of abscisic acid on the production of flavonoids and isoflavonoids was observed after a 6-hour application of the highest 500 µmol.l-1...
