Do we have too many university graduates? What lifetime earnings profiles can tell us
Hrendash, Taras ; Jurajda, Štěpán ; Münich, Daniel ; Doleželová, P. ; Mrázek, P.
Since the beginning of the 21st century, the Czech Republic has experienced dynamic growth in its university-educated workforce. This trend was initially driven by the foundation and growth of private universities in the Czech Republic in the late 1990s, followed from 2005 onwards by a substantial opening-up of public universities. The share of the population aged between 30 and 34 with higher education has more than doubled over the course of three decades. From an economic perspective, do we now have too many university graduates in the Czech Republic? The answer to this question is crucial when it comes to deciding the extent to which the state should – financially or otherwise – support future growth in the numbers of university students and graduates, and how much it should encourage citizens to pursue initial or lifelong university education. The answer is also an important factor in debates about the need to increase the currently low financial support available to university students. The study we present here provides descriptive statistics about employees’ wages and salaries, which serve as a useful basis for any discussion of this important question. We compare trends in university-educated employees’ wages and salaries for cohorts born in 1960, 1970, 1980 and 1990. The shares of university graduates in these cohorts differ substantially. Further, we observe trends in the earnings ratio for these cohorts between university- and secondary-educated employees, i.e., the percentage differences between the mean or median earnings of employees with higher education and those of employees with only secondary education.

Mrázek, Patrik ; Shavit, Anna (advisor) ; Nečas, Vlastimil (referee)
1 Abstract This thesis deals with the analysis of the negative campaigns run by seven leaders of political entities before the 2021 Czech parliamentary elections. Specifically, it focuses on the content found on the Facebook accounts of Andrej Babiš, Petr Fiala, Marian Jurečka, Markéta Pekarová Adamová, Ivan Bartoš, Vít Rakušan and Tomio Okamura. Attention is paid to the form and frequency of negative advertisement as it is an integral part of the pre-election period and, in the examined elections, was employed often in the campaign's strategy. In the theoretical section, negative advertising is placed into the wider scope of current trends in political communication and is tied in with political marketing tools. In relation to the unclear definition of the phenomenon, a unifying definition is introduced. Negative advertising is then further separated into subtypes, introduced in the Czech environment, and connected with concepts and theories debating the extent and perception of the use of negativity and emotion in campaigns. The quantitative analysis of content generates statistical data, explaining the method in which negative advertisement is used, its subtypes and affective components. Based on this, it evaluates the extent of negativity present in individual campaigns as well as their emotional tone....
Design of the latched comparator and its comparison with an opamp like comparator
Mrázek, Petr ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
The main content of this work is the design of four basic topologies of latched comparators and opamp like comparator. The introductory part of the bachelor thesis deals with the description, comparison and principles of operation of comparators such as opamp like comparator and latched comparators. In the practical part of this work is firstly performed the design of all the mentioned topologies of switched comparators and comparator of the operational amplifier type. Subsequently, they are compared with each other mainly in terms of their speed, accuracy, amount of kickback noise and consumption. At the end of the practical part, the design of these four basic topologies of switched comparators have been performed again, but already with the techniques for reduction of kickback noise applied to them. The whole work is concluded by the evaluation of individual acquired knowledge.

This thesis deals with a virtual waiting room topic. It informs about currently available products and programming tools. The thesis evaluates them and provides a solution to imperfections found in a current state. The output is an algorithm for handling booking requests in a waiting room. The algorithm solves an inefficient usage of business hours originating from unoptimal requests from a client side. This thesis also describes the created solution in terms of principal of functionality and analyses a success rate of the solution ascertained from a usage simulation.
