IT Monitoring and Management System with DCMM

Developeri v IT tíme vidia IT manažment ako vedúcich ich oddelenia a IT projektov. Úzkoprsosť manažmentu spoločnosti je často videná ako problém v riadení IT. Avšak v DCMM terminológii sa od vedúcich manažmentu vyžaduje rovnocenná diskusia medzi oboma účastníkmi. Pri rovnocennej diskusii to má za pozitívny dopad na pracovníkov IT a riešenia IT projektu, než pri nerovnocennej komunikácií. Navrhovaný systém umožňuje uživateľom (IT manažérom) manažovať a zobrazovať zdroje IT oddelenia, aktuálny stav projektu a aktuálny pohľad na manažment IT v DCMM perspektíve. Hlavné zameranie je kladené na extrakciu záznamov z rôznych nástrojov, ktoré sú spojené do príbehov. Tieto príbehy vytvárajú reťazec navzájom súvisiacich krokov, ktoré majú buď pozitívny alebo negatívny dopad na podnikanie. DCMM metriky boli realizované pre pomoc IT manažmentu aby sa vďaka ním vedel rozhodnúť ísť v smere nových myšlienok alebo sa držať ďaleko od inovácií. Pri použití nástroja, je manažmentu podniku ľahšie určiť, či DCMM pomôže danej spoločnosti byť inovatívna alebo či sa má rozhodnúť zostať v užívaní aktuálneho manažérskeho modelu. Na základe aktuálnych a predošlých udalostí odohraných vo firme, ktoré sa zobrazia je nutné vykonať manažérsku analýzu pre zistenie nových vedomostí.
Technical Assistance of Incident Management Support

The topic of this Master Thesis is Incident Management process as well as other processes which are inseparably linked to it, such as Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, etc. Main focus of this work is taken to the mentioned processes implementation in the real environment of the real company. Those processes are to be supported by selected information system whereas the selection itself is also part of the project. The processess are compared and optimized with use of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

The main objective is the lucidity and simplicity of the software for users. Information systém was extended for temporal data. This extension allows to browse through historic states of system. Product development was led by methods of project managmet.   
Software Support for Project Management

The main purpose of this work is to create an application for project management sup-port. This application contains basic functionality of current available applications which deal with project management, but moreover adds functions such as team communication support, establishing specific roles in the system (project managers, technical specialists, resource managers, regular employees), etc. The proposed system is able to estimate time and cost of task based on knowledge database created from previous realized project.
Service Point Part of the Caterng Information System

This thesis is about making catering information system. "Only" service point part has been realized, because of huge size of whole system. This WinForm application is based on internal 3-layer architecture. From outer perspective, there are only two  layers - client one and server one. Besides customizing bill of fare, service point part also provides efficient work with touch screens, which are used for food output. Strong emphasis lay on implemented user interface, stability and also solving problems like offline functionality

A Tool for Collaborative Support in Pre-Project Phase

The aim of this thesis is to design and realize an application for the management of project opportunities for the specific needs of IBM Czech Republic. The work presents the basic methods and approaches for particular time and financial planning. The application is developed in C++ using the Qt framework from Nokia. The tool uses the SQLite relational database.

Information System of School

The aim of this thesis is to analyse and to assess requirements on information system which is designated for primary and high schools. The thesis analyses user needs and discusses characteristics of such an information system. The proper implementation tools are chosen. It also covers a design and implementation part of the information system creation. Furthermore this report analyses problems which arised during the implementation stage and discusses final achievements. In conclusion the possible options for the future upgrades are discussed.
