Integration, Visualization, and Mining from Data of World Countries

This thesis explores the utilization of open data about countries around the world, particularly data in the areas of progress and quality of life. The goal was to design and implement a web application to present this data and further use the data for data mining. The integration and processing of data from open data sources were accomplished using the Apache Airflow platform. The Python framework FastAPI was used to create the API and the JavaScript library ReactJS was used to implement the web application. In the application, the indicators are categorized. Each of them can be displayed for different groups of countries, for different time periods, and in several visualizations. From the domain of data mining, clustering of countries based on a group of indicators and prediction of future development of selected indicators using regression analysis was performed. The final application is available at jakjsmenatom.cz.
Knowledge Discovery from Time Series

This thesis is focused on the field of knowledge discovery from data, specifically from time series. Main objective is to research Python programming language support in this area and then design and implement an application that will allow to demonstrate and compare selected methods. Methods are demonstrated in experiments using appropriate data set. The output of the thesis is a comparison of methods for specific tasks and the application implementing selected methods.
Application for Outlier Detection

The goal of this work is to investigate methods for outlier detection and to create an application which is able to correctly identify these values using individual methods or combinations of outlier detection methods. Another goal of the application is to clearly display the results of outlier detection and then visualize them in 2D or 3D space. The work also includes experiments on selected data sets, which are adapted to outlier detection and on automatically generated sets. The application and experiments were created in Python and Qt for Python was used to create the graphical user interface.
Model Driven Development of Spark Tasks by Means of Eclipse Acceleo

Táto diplomová práca sa zaoberá modelom riadeným vývojom Big Data úloh v prostredí Apache Spark. Na začiatok je čitateľovi predstavený framework Apache Spark a potrebné detaily. Ďalej sa priblíži problematika modelom riadeného vývoja a popíšu sa jeho výhody a nevýhody. V druhej časti je popísaný navrhnutý meta-model pre modelovanie úloh Sparku. Detailne sú popísané vlastnosti navrhnutého profilového diagramu, ktorý rozširuje diagram tried. Následne je implementovaný generátor kódu, ktorého vstup sú modely vyhovujúce navrhnutému meta-modelu. Práca taktiež obsahuje príklady modelov a ich vyhodnotenie. 
Visual Pattern Detection in Web Pages

The work solves the extraction of information from websites using the technique of searching for visual patterns - spatial relations between areas on the website and the same visual styles of these areas - with the extension of new techniques to improve results. It uses a user-specified ontological data model, which describes which data items will be extracted from the specified web page and how the individual items on the page look, mainly from a text point of view. As part of the work, a console application VizGet in Java was created using the FitLayout framework to obtain a visual model of the website. Testing the application on 7 different domains, including a list of the best movies, e-shop products, or weather forecasts, showed that the success rate of the application ranges in about 75 % of subtests above 85 % F-score and in more than 90 % of subtests above 60 % F-score, where 45 % of subtests achieve an F-score of 100 %. The VizGet application can thus be deployed for practical use in non-critical applications, while it is open to further extensions and possibilities for improvement.
Application for Statistical Analysis of ICS Communication

This work aims to present the design and implementation of an application for statistical analysis of network traffic in ICS (Industrial Control Systems) communication. In the first place, the work presents Industrial Control Systems and some of their most common protocols. The protocol IEC 104 is described in more detail. This is followed by an introduction to the basic methods of descriptive statistics, that can be used to analyze industrial communication. For this purpose, several CSV datasets, that capture fragments of industrial communication, have been used. These datasets are used to show how some of the previously described statistical methods can be used. The work then describes the implementation of an application, which allows to analyze the datasets and obtain various statistics and a visual representation of the data. The main objective of the application is to make it easier for the user to find stable characteristics that can be used for anomaly and attack detection. Finally, the benefits that the application brings are demonstrated on a set of datasets containing different types of attacks.
Research Organization Information System

This work aims to develop a web information system capable of handling administrative processes within research projects of the CIISB infrastructure. Base functionality of the system consists of project registration, reviews, full support of the communication via email, controlling projects' statuses and managing documents. Maximal automation of administrative processes and unlimited extensibility are key aspects of the system. The implementation is lead by C# programming language and related open source technologies from Microsoft. The text of the thesis accompanies the reader through all phases of the basic software development cycle except deployment and maintenance.
Agile Object-Oriented Software Development in ABAP

This thesis introduces agile software development, characteristics of the methodologies, and usage of refactoring as part of the development. Various tools used by SAP for developing software in their proprietary programming language ABAP are presented. The thesis aims to implement an object-oriented program in ABAP using agile principles. A program that enables users to manually enter specific values of VAT report is implemented using refactoring, tested, and delivered to SAP customers. Additional functionality that allows exporting the values to CSV format is implemented using Test Driven Development .
Information System for a Doctor with a Mobile Application for Patients

This thesis deals with the development of an information system for a doctor and patients. Doctor uses a web application, which is implemented using ASP.NET MVC. Patient uses a mobile application, which is written using Xamarin.Forms technology. This application uses optical character recognition for patient registration. The most important functions of the system is to manage patients, their orders and also for patients the possibility to request a reorder. The system was successfully designed, implemented and tested by potential users.
Mining Multiple Level Association Rules

This bachelor thesis deals with multiple level association rules mining. The aim of this work is to focus on available algorithms for mining multiple level association rules and to implement an application with a graphical user interface that will demonstrate the functionality of these algorithms. Five algorithms based on the Apriori algorithm were chosen. Experiments with each algorithm were performed using the application and the results were compared and evaluated at the end of the thesis.
