Nováková, Elena ; Sotáková, Hana (advisor) ; Kucharská, Anna (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the themes of drawings of children at elementary school age with an emphasis on developmental and gender aspects. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the developmental characteristics of elementary school age children, cognitive, emotional and social development and their translation into drawing, as well as gender differences in this area. The empirical part uses a mixed research design combining quantitative and qualitative analysis. The aim of the work is to understand what themes children in first, third and fifth grade choose for their drawings and whether there are differences between girls and boys. Furthermore, I examine the factors that influence children's decisions when choosing a drawing theme. The results show that the most common themes in drawings are natural elements, themes from movies, TV shows and video games, and last but not least, means of transportation. The differences found between girls and boys preferences suggest that girls more often depict natural motifs, while boys prefer means of transport. The analysis also suggests stability in the development of drawing preferences during younger school age. Interviews with children show that the choice of drawing subject is influenced by imagination, interests, media,...

In my bachelor's thesis, I deal with art activities for middle school students, which should connect the topic of artistic movements of the 19th and 20th centuries with children's creativity. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the following topics: hobby activities in free time, development of children's artistic expression, creativity, goals of art education and stimula- ting environment. At the end of the theoretical part, I focus mainly on the description of individual artistic trends and their main representatives. With regard to the design of the project, I will specifically deal with post-impressionism, cubism and surrealism. The goal of the work is to propose and verify a project of creative activities focused on selected artistic trends in children's creative activities. In the proposal, I will try to create an unconventional and original rendering of artistic trends in children's creativity. My aim is also to verify the cross-subject connection, for example with mathematics/geometry or other subjects. The project aims to be applied in leisure activities for children. KEYWORDS hobbies in free time, visual arts, artistic trends of the 19th - 20th centuries, visual arts, artistic trends of the 19th-20th centuries, non-traditional...
Gender differences in the testimonies from Auschwitz
Navrátilová, Kristýna ; Valentová, Hana (advisor) ; Presslerová, Pavla (referee)
The thesis deals with testimonies from the time of the Holocaust. Its aim was to compare two selected testimonies of Holocaust survivors, to find the main themes and to compare these testimonies also in terms of gender. I used the 17 testimonies that I read to determine the main themes of the testimonies. In the first part of the thesis, I discuss the evolution of perceptions of testimony over time, the relationship between the Holocaust and gender, and testimony as a genre. In the second part, I analyze the testimonies of Elie Wiesel and Edith Eger, looking for commonalities and differences in the experience of imprisonment. I selected an event that had a major impact on the protagonists during their adolescence in the camp and also looked at their development before and after the war. The presence of a loved one in the camp and then their ability to refuse to accept blame for what happened to them appears to be crucial to their survival. Both actors were also able to apply the experiences of the prison years to their professional lives after the war. In terms of gender, the testimonies of Elie Wiesel and Edith Eger do not differ fundamentally; on the contrary, they are very similar. Gender therefore had no major influence on the survival of these two young people.
