Monitoring fiber and protein intake in obese clients of a nutrition counseling center
Kekrtová, Magdaléna ; Pejšová, Hana (advisor) ; Weidenthalerová, Edita (referee)
The obesity epidemic is still a very topical problem and requires a comprehensive therapy that includes nutritional counselling. In my practical experience, the topic of protein and fibre tends to be very common with obese clients and I often observe less than appropriate choices in terms of protein sources. Fibre is not given much importance and therefore its adequate intake is not optimal. Therefore, the theoretical part aimed to summarize the current knowledge about obesity, protein and fibre. However, nutrition in obesity is summarised in a comprehensive way, taking into account other nutrients, but also micronutrients or drinking, which may also be significantly related to obesity. The theoretical summary of obesity was summarized rather marginally. In terms of treatment approaches, diet therapy, physical activity or psychotherapy are more approached. The importance of the nutritional therapist is not neglected. The practical part was quite comprehensive. The aim of the study was to assess dietary habits (qualitatively and quantitatively, focusing mainly on protein and fibre), body composition before and after the nutritional intervention and thus to evaluate the effect of the therapy. It was also intended to provide information on the original dietary habits of obese individuals in terms of...

Ben-Perets, Diana Ester ; Sládková, Petra (advisor) ; Svěcená, Kateřina (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with mapping the influence of the Mediterranean (kosher) diet and the traditional Czech diet on the occurrence of colorectal cancer. The aim of the study was to identify differences between the eating habits of Israelis and Czechs and to assess their potential impact on the development of this type of cancer. The methodology included an analysis of the eating habits of both groups, epidemiological data and a literature review of relevant studies. The results of the study indicate that there are differences between the eating habits of Israelis and Czechs, with the Israeli diet, although influenced by westernization, showing positive tendencies compared to the traditional Czech diet. This observed difference may play a key role in the prevention of colorectal cancer. Despite the fact that Israelis are not strictly limited to the Mediterranean diet, the study highlights its positive effect on reducing the risk of this disease. On the contrary, the negative contribution of the traditional Czech diet underlines the need to improve eating habits in the Czech population. This work contributes to the literature regarding the influence of diet on health and offers a comprehensive view of the differences between the Mediterranean and Czech diets in relation to colorectal cancer....

Legal Aspects of the changes in theater industry in Czechoslovakia After World War II
Šustová, Kateřina ; Kuklík, Jan (advisor) ; Blažková, Tereza (referee)
Legal Aspects of the changes in theater industry in Czechoslovakia After World War II After World War II (in May 1945), Czechoslovakian theaters were reopened. The so-called theater revolution began, during which the theater industry in Czechoslovakia experienced fundamental changes in organizational structure. Despite the efforts of Austria-Hungary and the First Czechoslovak Republic, this space was still regulated by the Theater Act of November 25, 1850 (Ministry of the Interior law No. 454/1850). There were also plans to consolidate the regulation of the theater industry in Czechoslovakia, as Hungarian legal article XXXI had been in effect since 1848 in Slovakia. This was a different (and even older) legal regulation than the one in Bohemia. This work explores the legal considerations of the aforementioned reorganization of theaters. The main goal of the research is to describe how the pre-World War II regulatory environment affected the evolution of theater industry regulation thereafter, including mapping out any significant path dependencies. A comparative analysis of individual provisions was used to address the research question of how the Theater Act of 1948 differed from previous legislation and historical drafts of theater regulations. This work subsequently addresses the regulatory...
Increase in muscle mass during remission in patients with Crohn's disease
Dittrichová, Jana ; Křížová, Jarmila (advisor) ; Šatný, Martin (referee)
Pacients with Crohn's disease lose a significant amount of muscle mass during the acute phase. The amount of muscle mass plays a crucial role in determining an individual's physical fitness, quality of life, and improves the prognosis of the disease. The theoretical part of the presented work focuses on the importance of muscle mass, its growth in relation to protein intake, the issues related to Crohn's disease, and the increase of muscle mass during remission. In the practical part of the study, the goal was to determine how many kilograms patients with Crohn's disease typically lose during the acute phase of the illness and compare it with the weight loss in patients with ulcerative colitis. The aim was also to verify the impact of protein intake education and recommendations for the frequency and type of exercise on muscle mass growth, increased muscle strength, and walking speed in patients with Crohn's disease. In the practical part, it was found that patients with Crohn's disease lose between 11.79 to 16.29 kg during the acute phase of the illness. In the study with education, each participant underwent two measurements with an interval of 4-6 weeks. The parameters examined included the amount of muscle mass, a 4-meter walking test, and handgrip strength. After the first measurement,...
