Customer Lifetime Value - Application to Banking Sector

Master Thesis: Customer Lifetime Value - Application to Banking Sector Author: Zuzana Lajksnerová Abstract This thesis deals with the calculation of the customer life value for clients of second largest Czech commercial banks - Československá obchodní banka a.s.. The aim is to estimate the revenue each individual brings to the bank within the first year, two, four since creating a profile but also during the whole time he or she remains in their customer base. The first, theoretical part contains of structured overview of the modeling approach from available literature. In the second part, we develop two different models, which are subsequently applied on client data of 2.7 million ČSOB customers. The prediction takes into account both revenues from each product and probability that customer will use this product. For estimation of the two models we use several different econometric methods, thus linear regression, bootstrap, probit and multinomial logit. The results show that demographic data such as age and gender, as well as product related variables, greatly inuence the final level of value of customer. It is also shown that higher potential earnings are associated with men, people of working age and loyal customers.

Title: Effectiveness of selected PR events of the Ski a Bike Centrum Radotín sport organisation Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a proposal for improving the marketing communication in the Ski and Bike Centrum Radotín sports organization, focusing on PR events and their effectiveness in achieving marketing goals. Since this topic is very broad, the thesis focuses in detail on only one type of events and that is events for the company's regular customers, namely regular bike rides. Methods: Both qualitative and quantitative research methods were used in this thesis. Specifically, for qualitative research, secondary data analysis and a semi- structured interview with the co-owner of Ski and Bike Centrum Radotín were used. The quantitative method in this thesis is represented by a questionnaire survey conducted online with participants of rides organized by Ski and Bike Centrum Radotín. Results: In most cases, the results of the questionnaire survey measured the effectiveness of SBCR's PR events in achieving the set objectives. Title: Customer satisfaction in a selected fitness centre Objectives: The central aim of this bachelor thesis is to propose recommendations that will lead to an increase in the quality of services provided through the analysis of customer satisfaction in a selected fitness centre. The main aim is to achieve a higher level of customer satisfaction and to strengthen the overall position of the fitness centre in the market. Methods: In the bachelor thesis, the SERVQUAL questionnaire method is used to compare the actual level of provided services with customer expectations. Subsequently, the obtained results are then presented graphically for better clarity and readability. Results: The results of the study indicate the overall satisfaction of customers in the selected fitness centre with the services provided. However, it appeared that some areas of service did not meet customer expectations. However, it has been revealed that certain areas of the services did not meet customer expectations. This difference between expectation and reality provides valuable insights for identifying areas where services can be improved, thereby enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
