The Group Metacognitive Training for Adolescents with Anxiety

The rigorous thesis is focused on the translation, creation and subsequent use of metacognitive training (MCT) in adolescents with anxiety in group therapy. The theoretical part deals with adolescence, anxiety and with description of metacognitive training. It is supplemented by a rich representation of current research about the mental health of adolescents and the effectiveness of metacognitive therapy applied in various mental disorders. According to existing trainings, the program created by us is divided into 8 modules, with a fixed structure, held once a week. Each module focuses on a specific topic that concerns anxiety, and worksheets for each module are also used for training. Using a quasi-experiment, we measured the current level of anxiety in the pretest and posttest using standardized method STAI, and the overall self-concept measured with PHCSCS-2. We found subjective feeling of anxiety, depression, a tendency to self-harm and difficulty attending school. A total of 7 participants participated in the experimental group and 8 participants were in the control group. Five parents filled in the pretest and posttest feedback. Petra Kvardová Title: The impact of COVID-19 pandemic in the field of sport Objectives: The diploma thesis examines the long-term impact of COVID-19 in professional and semi-professional athletes. The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate the most common problems and difficulties that accompanied professional and semi-professional athletes of selected team sports in the Czech Republic after experiencing COVID-19 and after returning to full load in their sport. Methods: The thesis has the character of quantitative research, in which a questionnaire survey based on theoretical background was used. The questionnaire uses two evaluation scales, DASS-21 and SMS-28. The data from the questionnaires were processed in MS Excel, which was used for descriptive statistics and displaying the results into graphs. The SPSS statistical program was used to verify the hypotheses, in addition to the creation of contingency tables, tests such as the χ2 independence test, the Fischer exact test, the Mann-Whitney test and the Spearman coefficient were used. Achievement motivation and competitive anxiety in hockey players

Title: Performance motivation and competitive anxiety of ice hockey players Objectives: The main goal of this final work is to find out how the performance motivation of athletes is related to the emotional consequences of their participation in sports, their interest, but also anxiety or negative emotions related to burnout. Methods: This is a quantitative questionnaire study in which 53 professional or semi- professional ice hockey players participated. Participants completed a questionnaire battery examining various aspects of their performance motivation (Perception of Success Questionnaire, Dweck Mindset Instrument, Sport motivation scale-6), positive and negative emotions related to their sports activity (Athlete Engagement Questionnaire, Athlete Burnout Questionnaire, Competitive State Anxiety Inventory) and the team cohesion (Youth Sport Environment Questionnaire). Subsequently, the data were processed by Spearman correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: High values were measured for determination, integrated regulation, internal motivation and task orientation. Low values occurred in burnout and amotivation. This thesis aims to outline the most influential ideas of existentialism and relate them to our everyday life. The first part focuses on five existential writers and their most profound contributions. It addresses the works of Dostoyevsky, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Sartre, and Camus. The second part consists of twelve subchapters, tackling the questions of freedom, determinism, anxiety, suffering, authenticity, responsibility, and the search for meaning in life. This part seeks to put issues of existential philosophy into practical use and highlight its everlasting influence and relevance in today's world. It is constructed in the form of twelve lessons, offering various examples and views on the thought-provoking concepts presented in the first part.
The impact of online learning on the mental health of high school students, with the focus on anxiety and depression

This thesis deals with the impact of online learning on the mental health of high school students, with the focus on anxiety and depression. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part explains the concepts of anxiety and depression and describes their symptoms, potential causes and ways of treatment. It also mentions phenomena which anxiety and depression need to be distinguished from. Then it deals with the period of adolescence, especially in the 21st century, and the problem of digitization. Due to the nature of the thesis, quantitative research was chosen, represented by a questionnaire, which was completed by 283 respondents. Data analysis showed that online learning seriously affected the mental health of high school students and had a negative impact on it. Out of the symptoms of depression, the students suffered the most with low mood, which significantly affected 62,4 % of the respondents. It was followed by the desire to do nothing, feeling of living an unsatisfactory life, loss of energy and fatigue. These symptoms significantly affected over 57 % of respondents. Diploma thesis "The Topic of the Death in Existential Philosophy and its Influence on the Theological Reflection" deals with the Death in work of existential philosophers as Martin Heidegger, Jean - Paul Sartre, Karl Jaspers and Albert Camus. Authors concentrate on human being, which is direct to the Death. They mention about concepts, which influence of this perception of the Death, for example a freedom, an anxiety, a fear or a quilt. These concepts are importance to accept of the Death as a part of a human life. We can't omit the existence of God, who authors, without Karl Jaspers, decline. Diploma thesis deals with importance of the Death and what the Death tells for human. Authors concentrate on moment of the Death and subjective of the Death not only, but meaning of the Death in future too.

Praha ABSTRACT This diploma thesis is theoretical and empirical, and focuses on emotional support and communication with parents of a newborn in a resuscitation department or ICU. It analyzes the approach that the medical staff has towards these parents, specifically psychological support in the form of sufficient and adequate communication. The theoretical section begins with the classification of newborns. Next the reasons for intensive and neonatal care for very premature babies are discussed.
