UI for the Cooperation of a Surveillance System with a Human
Klem, Václav ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Bažout, David (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis discusses the topic of the design and development of an effective user interface for the cooperation of a user and a surveillance system. It offers a study of currently available tools for the annotation of videos and detection/tracking of people in these videos to create an annotation application intended for new way of detecting anomalies. This innovative way is based on detecting anomalies on the level of frames. Anomaly in this sense means any illegal behavior of people in a video. This thesis aims to create a proposition of UI design for the annotation application, confirm the validity of the concept and then implement the full-fledged version of this application based on the testing results. During the testing of the prototype, the annotation success rate of 89% and the rating of overall UI clarity of 83% respectively were reached. Following the results of the testing, the final version of the application was implemented reflecting the user feedback.
Detection of objects and tracking the route of movement of traffic participants for the needs of intelligent transport nodes
Vymazal, Tomáš ; Kiac, Martin (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
The master‘s thesis is focused on the object detection. The aim of this thesis is to desine an experiment to assess the detection models YOLOv5, YOLOR, Scaled-YOLOv4 and EfficientDet and to compare their properties (detection speed, memory requirements, accuracy and certainty of detection). For this purpose a custom data set is created to investigate these parameters. The study shows that the YOLOv5 network is performd as the best solution. Deep SORT is used for object tracking which is important for the subsequent extraction of training data from video footage for object movement prediction. The added value is the design of the prediction algorithm which is based on a polynomial regression model.

Sport vs. eSport: motives of viewership from the fans' point of view
Hampel, Jiří ; Voráček, Josef (advisor) ; Jarošík, Richard (referee)
Title: Sport vs. eSport: viewership motives from the fans' perspective Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to find common or different elements of sport and esports that motivate fans to watch it. The fulfillment of the main objective is preceded by the selection of appropriate motives. Subsequently, through proper and targeted exposure to individual motives, officials and individual managers can expand and manage the membership base. Methods: The research was carried out using a quantitative method of electronic questioning. An electronic questionnaire distributed through social networks was used to collect data, which enabled responses from 144 respondents. The research sample was composed of fans of sports and esports. Results: The research has provided a closer look at the motives that drive fans to watch sports and esports. The research also revealed the similarities between sports and esports industries, which will make it possible to apply marketing methods from sports to the emerging esports environment. The results of the research can also be used by marketers to select the most applicable themes and create targeted marketing messages. Keywords: fan, themes, tracking, player, games, claim
Radar sensors in mechatronics
Pulec, Matěj ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Brablc, Martin (advisor)
This work is studying the possibilities of using radar sensors in mechatronics. The theoretical part describes the basic principles of the mm-Wave FMCW radar sensor, along with several examples of their possible applications. The practical part describes three experiments testing the capabilities of this sensor. In these experiments, the the radar was found to be able to accurately and reliably track the position and speed of a moving object. However, problems arose when trying to determine the position of static objects and also when detecting the shape or orientation of both dynamic and static objects. For these purposes, the the tested radar appears to be an unsuitable type of sensor.
Augmented reality and its use
Ibehej, David ; Holoubek, Tomáš (referee) ; Hůlka, Tomáš (advisor)
Augmented reality is one of the most developed technological areas. It corresponds with the fact, that we hear more and more about it and therefore it needs to be considered for the future. This bachelor thesis attempts to provide brief research in topics of its definition, history, current usage, shortcomings and options in the field of game engines and developer tools. In second part it demonstrates possible utilization in industry providing the solution of mechanical component projection and interaction.
How Pupils and Their Parents Evaluate its Transfer to Multi-year Gymnasium?
Slanařová, Jana ; Greger, David (advisor) ; Straková, Jana (referee)
The multi-year gymnasium is a part of the Czech educational system for the long time. Those gymnasiums are one of the most discussed institutions in terms of usefulness. Various studies are made in dependence on that trying to find reasons for choosing multi-year gymnasiums (as thesis "Why Do Primary School Children Choose Multi-year Gymnasiums?", which preceded this work). The aim of this diploma thesis is already the next step: figuring out, if gymnasium met pupils' expectations, and also to receive feedback and evaluation of their parents. It focuses on pupils' academic self-concept, on problems associated with transfer to multi-year gymnasium and on positives, which the pupils would not probably meet at elementary school with. Teachers as actors of education policy: A conceptualization of actors in public policy and an application of selected approaches on the example of teachers
Mouralová, Magdalena ; Veselý, Arnošt (advisor) ; Malíková, Ludmila (referee) ; Winkler, Jiří (referee)
The doctoral thesis has primarily a theoretical character and outcomes. The focus of interest is formed by a detailed investigation of the actor concept in key theoretical approaches to contemporary public policy; the results are subsequently applied on the example of education policy, particularly on teachers as a specific actor category. The goals of this thesis are: 1) to describe how the words "actor", "agent" and "stakeholder" (which all translate as "aktér" in the Czech language) are used in public policy articles; 2) to introduce and compare selected public policy approaches working with actors; 3) to model how these approaches are used in the case of teachers (as actors) and the policy of tracking; 4) to create a comprehensive conceptual framework for the public policy research on actors. The analytical part of the doctoral thesis is based on a summative content analysis of public policy texts published in four extensive handbooks of public policy.
Validation of silicon detector simulations for the Belle II experiment
Fajt, Lukáš ; Kvasnička, Peter (advisor) ; Drásal, Zbyněk (referee)
Title: Validation of silicon detector simulations in the Belle II experiment Author: Lukáš Fajt Department: Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Supervisor: RNDr. Peter Kvasnička, Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with testing of simulations for planned combined Belle II PXD and SVD testbeam at DESY, Germany. This testbeam is going to study the function of a setup of six detectors, two DEPFET pixel detectors and four strip detectors, which corresponds to the actual arrangement of the internal detector of the newly built experiment Belle II in KEK, Japan. For the purpose of testing a new module in the basf2 Belle II software framework was developed. This module should also be used in the future for analysis of experimental data from the testbeam and to compare the results with simulations. In addition to the theoretical knowledge about the Belle II experiment, silicon detectors and basf2, experience with experi- mental work in the clean room at IPNP was obtained. The theoretical part of this work reviews the physical motivation of the experiment as well as the arrangement and operation of the Belle II detector. In the second part we discuss silli- con detectors with an emphasis on DEPFET detectors. We then describe the Belle II software framework, basf2,...
The System For Laser Beam Tracking And Communication
Skryja, Petr
The paper describes a system for laser beam tracking and communication with using one optical laser beam. As an active receiver element, improved tetra-lateral two-dimensional position sensitive detector S5991-01 is used, which is used both to obtain beam position and to receive transmitted data. A laser with a wavelength of 650 nm is used for data transmission. The transmitted data are coded with Manchester code. Position calculation, data receiving and transmitting is carried out by development board STM Nucleo H743ZI.
