Self-evaluation in the nursery school from the perspective of management

TITLE: Self-evaluation in terms of nursery management AUTHOR: Vaclava Čmolíková DEPARTMENT Charles University in Prague, college of education School Management Centre SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Vera Fantová ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to provide an overview of access of nursery schools to self- evaluation from a management perspective, compare the reality in nursery schools and units of the merged primary and nursery schools in the realization of self- evaluation and adopted measures, which are based on the self-evaluation report. In the theoretical section there are reported some basic terms related to self-evaluation, school management and the legislative framework. The subject of the research was to map how the managers of individual schools and units of the merged primary and nursery schools evaluate an area of the management. The result is a summarization of approach to school self- evaluation procedures in view of schools, which points to continuing problems in the evaluation of management of nursary schools and which opens a new way to understanding and doing self-evaluation more effective in the area of nursary schools. Primary school management in the transition to grammar school dabing the 5th and 7 th grades

In the introductory part of the final bachelor thesis the theoretical basis are described. These are the ones that school management can rely on when influencing the decision-making process of pupils and their legal representatives whether to change to grammar school or whether pupil's education will remain at the existing primary school. The practical part of the paper deals with finding motifs when leaving to grammar schools is considered, in other words, reasons why pupils remain at primary schools. Moreover, it provides recommendations for school management to influence these decisions.
Competencies of deputy headmaster of primary school

A thesis deals with still not very clear conception of the deputy headmaster of the primary school. It determines which competences are delegated to these workers , and whether the scope of their activities affects the size of the school and any number of deputy headmasters . The selected sample of primary schools in the Czech Republic were studied and then the current practice was described in the key areas of the school management. The present thesis has been completed using available literature a freely accessible Internet resources relating to the topic . Based on generally accepted legal norms and specific laws governing the area of education. A quantitative research was conducted in the form of both a sample survey and a questionnaire in the online environment. It was aimed at current concept of the deputy headmasters in primary schooling in the key areas of school management and identifying specific actions contained in the job description. Addressed respondents were the deputy headmasters of the school head . Their views on the possible definition of a legal base of this job and the number of students and graduates of the shool management were also examined. Motivation of Pedagogic Employees in Elementary Art Schools in Relation to School Management

4 Résumé: Incentives of pedagogic employee in elementary art schools depending on management of schools This bachelor work examines the issues of incentives of pedagogic employee in elementary art schools. This paper aims at analysing of the situation in the field of motivating of pedagogic employee in selected schools, checking whether there are some new natural relations in the field of motivating of pedagogic employee related to satisfaction of Maslow needs, which could be used for motivating of pedagogic employee in practice. The research part specifies two research issues. The first research issue discusses whether the pedagogic employees are motivated in conformity with the factors they regard as really motivating. The second research issue stems from assumption mentioned in bibliography and generally speaking it serves to verification of the first issue. It addresses whether the motivating factors, which stimulate satisfaction of the needs of one of five levels of Maslow pyramid, are most important for each pedagogic employee or whether the motivating factors, which stimulate satisfaction of needs related to more levels of Maslow pyramid, are the most important for each pedagogic employee. School Board in the management of school

The aim of this thesis was to determine to what extent and in what areas the school board controls affects the work of the school principal. The operational objective was to specify the problematic areas of the relationship from the perspective of the school principal and suggest how their effects mitigated or eliminated. Respondents of empirical research using questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were directors of elementary and secondary schools, established by the Central Bohemia Region. The aim of the research was to obtain the most comprehensive description of the relationship between the school board and school management system. The results of the survey can be used in particular to seek ways and other opportunities for cooperation between the school principal and the school board so that their actions helped to improve the quality of management of the school principal. They can also be used as a basis for more efficient operation of the School Board itself. The survey results can be used and founder of the school as an oportunity to improve the working conditions of school management. Interpersonal relationships in school communities

The aim of this work is to gather relevant information about interpersonal relationships in the teaching staff of selected secondary schools and to show how they are perceived, understood, experienced and reflected by their participants. The result of this work is to propose principles and recommendations leading to the optimization of relationships between teachers. This work, in the terms of qualitative research, used the design of case study. Research techniques are semistructured interview and participant observation. Through them, information was gathered on relationships between teachers, teachers and school management and teachers and other people, with whom they come into contact within the scope of their profession. These relationships were then qualitatively analyzed based on open coding, categorization, typology, contrasting, generalization and validation of communication. The result of the investigation was that six schools out of four have the interpersonal relationships on a good level, educators are happy at work and their good mood and feelings are transmitted to the whole school climate.
