Pedagogical aspects of coaching activities

The goal of this diploma thesis is to describe and analyze the pedagogical aspects of coaching in the context of the current offer of study programs for coaches, their professional background and their self-reflection due to their educational mission. To achieve these objectives it is necessary to define sport as such, its types and offers of sports activities for individuals. It is also necessary to define the role of the coach and systematically describe important attributes of the trainer. The analytical part of the paper will focus on the coaches self-reflection due to their educational mission. In this context, the questionnaire will analyze trainers view on their possible educational, or teaching activities. Other important issues that will be analyzed include: coaches view on their activities and the circumstances that affect their educational influence, etc. The final part will be devoted to evaluation of the current state of examined problems.
Coaching and developing of employees' potential

The modern companies is increasingly realizing that prosperity of the companies is not only based on advanced technology, on the famously elaborate strategy but that the functioning of society depends on people themselves. Coaching is presented as a modern method of development potential employees on the basis of coaching freely determine their objectives over time achieve alone. Personal development of employees as well as the author considered a form of competitive advantage because satisfied and motivated employees are seen as a valuable source of the companies. Increased appetite for work, effort for increase their results and productivity, better perception of motivation - that all the author understands as the examples of positive results of coaching. To these positive effects were reached, it requires knowledge of substance and ideas, understanding of this method. The author is in the practical part of thesis focuses on students and graduates because she perceives them as a group preferred by modern companies. The aim of the practical part is to show which knowledge has the segmented group on the method and whether any such knowledge or ignorance is a sign of positive or negative results of coaching.
Coaching as a method of leadership

This thesis deals with the methods of coaching as a leadership in professional basketball clubs in the Czech Republic. The objective of the thesis is to determine how much the professional basketball coaches are familiar with methods of coaching and whether they use any of them in their daily practice. To find the necessary information there has been used a questionnaire survey through email correspondence with coaches. The results are then compared with the information obtained through studying books of leading American coaches. The benefits of this thesis are identification and evaluation of the coaching utilization in management of professional basketball teams. The issue of coaching in this or any other sports in the Czech Republic has not been written up into any book. The actual summary of foreign literature dedicated to this topic is also beneficial. The bonuses of this thesis are the recommendations to improve the performance of basketball coaches. Recommendations and conclusions of this thesis can be useful not only for improving the work of the respondents of this questionnaire, but they can be used as general source for increasing work efficiency in the management of sports teams. The thesis may also be used by basketball players to expand their knowledge of the development of their own abilities and skills. The results are also useful for the Czech Basketball Federation, Association of Basketball Coaches, which is responsible for the methodology of coaches' education and universities providing a two-year educational program Trainers' School. The thesis could be divided into four main parts. The first part deals with the general areas of coaching, its use, attitudes and personality coach. The second part focuses on the area of sports coaching and then the specifics of leadership in basketball. The third part deals with the exploration of the use of coaching in leading basketball teams by professional trainers. The final section summarizes the results of individual coaches and provides recommendations to improve their work.

The thesis's main concerns are Trends in Leadership development. The aim of this thesis is to better understand leadership and to find out the differences between managers and leaders. The secondary aim of this thesis includes the understanding of development various leadership skills techniques. This thesis also includes survey of how students of University of Economics in Prague interpret leadership as a whole. First chapter focuses on trends in management, second chapter focuses on trends in leadership and leadership styles. Content of third chapter includes research of leadership development techniques. Fourth chapter sums the theses up and also includes the evaluation of undertaken research.
The Importance of Coaching in the Direct Sales on an Example of the Southwestern Company

The main objective of this thesis is to explore the dependence between coaching and sales results of sales people during the Southwestern Company internship. In the theoretical part, I describe the concept of coaching and its history, on the basis of available literature and internet sources. Further, I devote to coaching models and tools that coaches use for improving the performance of coached people. At the end of the theoretical part, I define the specifics of direct sales and I depict the importance of direct sales nowadays. The practical part is devoted to the Southwestern Company, which uses direct sales to distribute educational products. I introduce the history of the company, its product portfolio and summer Southwestern Advantage Internship for university students. The centre of this thesis is the research, which I did during the summer 2012, when I applied coaching in communication with the sales people I worked with. The conclusion of this thesis is the link between theory and experience and also the following recommendations to apply coaching to increase the volume of production of the Southwestern sales people.
Coaching as a method of managing people and its application in project management

The thesis deals with the issue of managing people. The aim of this study is to determine whether coaching is the applicable method for managing people and in what form can be used by for project management. The theoretical part deals with the inefficiencies of today's approaches to managing people, the principles of project management and methods of project management. This is a partial summary of the approaches which are applied both at home and abroad. When writing these methods begin by relevant printed and electronic sources. The practical part is focused on summarizing the methods of coaching in project management. This is a reflection on what are the prerequisites for it in order to effectively implement coaching and what methods are used today.

Questionnaire is fundamental research method. In the case of detection some failure in this area, suggesting potential arrangement.
Coaching and its perspectives in The Czech Republic

The aim of this dissertation was to whether the VŠE students perspective of the segment is the same as the coaches' perspective using a questionnaire research of the VŠE students and coaches too, and comparing both the students' and coaches' segments and suggesting possible solution. The questionnaire research was based in The Czech Republic area. The theoretical part of the dissertation is organized the way so it would introduce the involved ones into coaching. Firstly, it introduces the term coaching, differences between coaching and psychotherapy, ethical codex of the coaching, various genres and the methods of the coaching. Secondly, it explains dimensions of the mutual corporation, the coaches' and coached people roles, expenses, the form of quality, expected benefits, expectation of the co-operation and its form. Conclusions of this dissertation can be beneficial for organizations AIESEC, RPC VŠE, Koučink klub VŠE, The Head Office of the VŠE, coaches segment, future segment students' employers and for students themselves. There are included couches, companies providing coaching and professional associations under the coaches segment.
Support for start-up businesses in the Czech Republic – support programme development and couching

The purpose of the diploma thesis is to introduce Inovum, o.p.s. - agency that offers professional couching to entrepreneurs and start-ups with the innovative idea and through that indirectly supports competitiveness of the Czech economy. Within the thesis, the innovation ecosystem of the Czech Republic is analyzed. In addition, marketing analysis and marketing plan for Inovum, o.p.s. is devised. The main goal is to propose a marketing plan for the agency which is in line with the real situation on the market.
Coaching and its contribution to corporate management in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis focuses on approach of Czech corporate management to coaching. The coaching and mentoring of people has become a trending topic lately. Coaching allows us not only to discover a potential within ourselves but also to release it fully. On the basis of qualitative research, the thesis analyses the benefits of coaching for the coached person, from the point of view of the coach, the ordering party and of the coached person him/herself using the self-assessing scales. According to the results, the most important asset for the coached person is higher autonomy and responsibility for one's work. From the manager's point of view, coaching helps promoting better communication, openness and also a possibility to praise and acknowledge employees and subordinates in a better way. The final part of the thesis evaluates the fulfillment of the laid down objectives.
