The aim of this dissertation thesis is to propose a new system of evaluation and subsequent remuneration in the company Brněnské vodárny a kanalizace, a.s. The theoretical part focuses on the theory of motivation, employee evaluation and reward system. The practical part is based on the survey assessed the current system of motivation, evaluation and rewards and compared with the theoretical part. The conclusion includes suggestions that I recommend to improve the current system of remuneration in the company of Brněnské vodárny a kanalizace, a.s.

Motivation and Evaluation of Employees

The aim of this thesis is to uncover possible weaknesses in the company's motivation system and propose recommendations to improve the current situation. In the first part I combine theoretical knowledge concerning the issue of motivation, evaluation and rewarding of employees. In the second part I introduce the company, analyze the present system of motivation, evaluation and rewarding employees that the company uses and perform questionnaire survey. From the survey results, along with theoretical knowledge I will point out any shortcomings or errors and suggest recommendations that will contribute to improving the current situation.

Motivation System of the Company

The diploma thesis deals with a motivation system of the company. Theoretical part defines the motivation, reward of employees or their evaluation. The questionnaire survey helps to the analytical part examines the current motivation system of the employer and employee satisfaction. Based on the survey, options are proposed that can improe the motivation system, which lead to increase motivation and safisfaction of emploees.

The bachelor thesis aims to evaluate the system of employee benefits in the selected company. The focus is on determining employee satisfaction with this system and evaluating its cost implications for employer. Theoretical findings from the field of employee benefits are presented in the literature review. The empirical part describes the specific company, the employee benefits system, and its cost impact for the year 2022. Employee satisfaction with the benefit system is assessed by using a quantitative questionnaire survey. By connecting theoretical knowledge and empirical results, recommendations are proposed to the company. This recommendation aims to increase employee satisfaction with benefits and at the same time differentiate the employer from the competition in the labor market.

Systemic approaches to employee evaluation and rewarding

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of evaluation and remuneration of employees based on new methods and approaches. Appraisal is usually only related to "job evaluation", i.e. the evaluation and management of job performance itself. However, we rarely find a systematic evaluation of its process, conditions and results in the context of strategic management of the company and the model of remuneration and evaluation. Reward in the company should be supported by a reward philosophy based on a strategic reward model. This leads to ensuring fair, transparent and effective remuneration of employees, particularly in accordance with labour legislation and in relation to the economic performance of the organisation. The remuneration philosophy expresses the organisation's beliefs about how people should be rewarded in order to ensure that remuneration is implemented for the benefit of both the organisation and its members. In corporate practice, this leads to the need for a clearly established and defined system of rewarding employees in relation to the principles of objective evaluation.
