Partnership and client access in coperation between family and school

The theses deals with partnership and client-based approach to family and schooll collaboration. The theoretical part focuces on family and school as an institucion, thein definition, fiction and curricular documents. Further it deals with relations between a family and school, evolution of views on cooperation, mutal expectations of resulting cooperation, educational and social partenrship, the parents influence on the education of children, forms of cooperation, as well as with the limitations and risks that can be involved in the communication and collaboration. Criteria of effective cooperation between s family and school given by two different authors are characterized and compared. The work also maps the criteria of effective cooperation and forms of collaboration within in programme Step by Step. The empirical part presents observations, action research and interviews, to detect cooperation between school and families in a class following the programme Step by Step. The research methods include observations focused on consultations of a teacher - parents - children, an action research, which took place during creative workshops designed for parents, as well as group interview, carried out with the parents, the teacher and the children. Integrated Thematic Instruction in The Step by Step educational programme

My theses called "Intergrated thematic instruction" in the "Step by Step programme" describes, analyses and evaluates the usage of Integrated Thematic Instruction (ITI) on the 1st level of the primary school. ITI is considered like one of the possibilities of the realisation of the educational content which is delimited by General Educational Programme which broad interpretation offers to this realisation. My theses is devided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the analysis of the educational content in regard with the schoolwork integration. Besides the integration itself, my theses also deals with thematic teaching and integrated thematic teaching in curriculated documents. My theses also refers to integrated thematic teaching in modification of the "Step by Step programme" and tries to limit ITI in the project teaching background. The integral component of the theoretical part is also a part devoted to the key competences and their acquisition. I focus on the components monitoring of the brain compatible environment during the real practical teaching in the "Step by Step programme". This Diploma thesis is a continuation of bachelor thesis, which discusses the formal cooperation between family and school in pre-school age of a child. Diploma thesis is extended and brings new information about cooperation of family and school. There are important information from Bachelor thesis included in the theoretical part. They play important role in practical part of Diploma thesis and objectives and goals for the research come out of them. Theoretical part is therefore focusing on terms family, teacher and nursery school. It also derives information from curricular documents, such as Framing educational program of pre-school education. It discusses its main principles and objectives and focuses on conditions of pre-school education, where parents play an important role. I tis one of the main principles of Step by Step program. Mutual college support in the Start together program

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of Mutual collegial support in the Step by Step program. It examines how this support is implemented at a selected innovative school. In the theoretical part describes the professional development of a teacher, mutual collegial support, mentoring in teaching and mentor quality. It focuses on the educational activities of Step by Step Czech Republic. In the case study, the research part describes the realization of collegiate support, especially in the form of mentoring. This research method is based on participating observations, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, material and video analysis. A portrait of a mentor, which depicts her style of work, is created in the form of a metaphorical comparison. And it also describes individual forms of collegial support and its benefits or possible constraints. Forms of Family and School Cooperation at the Beginning of School Attandance

This thesis focuses on forms of cooperation between family and school at the beginning of school attendance. The theoretical part defines family and school as educational institutions and traces the development of cooperation between these institutions. It shows current trends in cooperation between family and school using the elements of a strategy of innovative educational program Step by Step and project Parents welcome. It refers to the elements that affect mutual relations. At the beginning of the empirical part is first described the methodology of qualitative research. The main techniques used were observation, questioning and interviews with teaching staff and the parents of pupils at two schools - at the average primary school and at the school using the program Start together, which received a certificate Parents welcome. Partner reality was analyzed on the basis of a document Competent teacher of the 21st century: An international professional quality framework ISSA. The research identified the actual situation in each school, its benefits and weaknesses. Specifics of communication in kindergarten

(in English): The present bachelor thesis examines basic specifics of communication in kindergarten. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to both general and specific communication between a teacher and children. The main focus is on communication functions upon which communication is built. The thesis also offers a basic insight into the Czech preschool education system and briefly presents alternative educational programs with special focus on the program Step by Step practiced in the kindergarten in which data were collected for the practical part of the thesis. The research reported consists of qualitative descriptive analyses of frequently repeated characteristics of the communication between a teacher and children. The conclusion calls for further longitudinal research in this area of communication.
Development of Children's Musical Creativity in Primary School in Classrooms with the Step by Step Program

This diploma thesis deals with a children's musical creativity development at primary school with the Step-by-step program. The thesis introduces an overview of the current topics in alternative education, reveals main ideas of the Step by step program and describes a creativity in general with focus on the area of musical creativity and its development. The main goal of this thesis was to analyze usage of activities stimulating musical creativity development in normal classes at primary school and compare the results with the classes where the Step by step program is in use.
Development of reading literacy in selected alternative educational programs

This Master's thesis examines options to advance reading literacy in schools with alternative education. Thesis is focused on teachers work and used methods. The aim of the thesis was to determine, how schools using alternative educational programs support the reading literacy. Theoretical part explores reading literacy, characteristics of alternative educational programs and schools -Montessori, Waldorf, Dalton and program Step by Step. It specifies RWCT - reading and writing to critical thinking program and method of advancement reading literacy and reading. The practical part evaluates surveys filled by teachers from alternative schools and teachers using alternative educational programs. Survey is focused on teacher's job, utilization of RWCT method in schools, working with reading literacy and support of reading.
Cooperation and engagement of pupils in centres of activities in the Step by Step program

HAVLÍKOVÁ, Andrea. Cooperation and engagement of pupils in centres of activities in the Step by Step program. [Diploma Thesis]. Charles University in Prague. Prague : 2019. 107 pages. The aim of the thesis was to theoretically elaborate and practically solve the problems of cooperation and involvement of pupils in the centres of activities within the Step by Step program. Several methods were used to process this thesis. In the theoretical part, an overview of relevant information related to the topic was carried out on the basis of a search and by using a description method. The practical part was based on action research, which was carried out in the class of the author. The research was carried out as an unstructured observation and experiment, the outcomes were in the form of reflections. Based on reflections the centres of activities in the monitored class were improved, especially in the area of pupils' involvement and cooperation. Improved centres of activities based on the reflection of the original centres of activities have certainly led to improvements in the involvement and cooperation of pupils in the studied classroom.
