Literature in moving image. A case study of selected films by Martin Ježek.
Hrončeková, Ivana ; Csefalvay,, Andreas (referee) ; Mazanec, Martin (referee) ; Cenek, Filip (advisor)
The dissertation deals with selected films of experimental filmmaker Martin Ježek, who interpret works of experimental literature of the 1960s, or literary works that preceded it. In this pattern, I follow the tightness of the relationship between literary text and film, which I describe in the analytic explanations of films. Text and film represents three types of application: in structure (script and score), performativity (performative reading of the text in while filming) and in sound of the film. This tightness, the way the text is interpreted, simultaneously defined the categorization of the selected sample. This chapter also represents the catalog of selected films. A special category is the analysis of the aspect of performativity, which is present on three levels: in the situation of film projection, during filming and during post-production of the film. Another level of the work is dedicated to a review of Martin Ježek´s filmography from the perspective of gallery practice and contemporary art. In this part, dissertation also analyses the conceptual strategies and contexts that accompany the filmmaking process. The focus of the research is organically based on the practical part of the dissertation, which takes the form of an author´s video, exhibition and screening program.

Development of a calculator for assessing vulnerabilities in Javascript
Škrhák, Pavel ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Holasová, Eva (advisor)
The aim of this work is to describe the known methods of vulnerability assessment, and to implement them in a web application using the Vue.js framework. The thesis describes two vulnerability assessment systems, namely CVSS (Common Vulnerability Scoring System) and OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) Risk Rating Methodology. Their parts, metrics and methods of calculation of the evaluation are described. Subsequently, these systems are compared and their strengths and weaknesses are determined. The work then evaluates some known vulnerabilities using these two assessment methods. The work then describes the design of the frontend and backend of the web application. The frontend uses the Vue.js framework, which allows the creation of dynamic one-page web applications. The components and layout of the application are designed. Furthermore, the appearance of the front application and its components is designed. The backend was designed to suit with the Djnago framework, which together with the django REST framework can be used to quickly create an API (Application Programming Interface) communicating with the database. A model for storing data from a frontend application was designed. The work then describes the implementation of this application divided into frontend and backend. The backend describes the implementation of the API and the database. The implementation of the model itself, serializer and methods for communication with the frontend application are described. In the frontend, a vue router is created, which is used to dynamically change the content of the page, then the components themselves are created, which serve as building blocks of the application. These components contain three parts, namely structure, JavaScript code and CSS (Cascading Sytle Sheets). Components can pass data and call functions of other components. The last part of the work is testing of the application itself. Its functionality is tested by calculating the score of already assessed vulnerabilities and some items of the OWASP ASVS (Application Security Verification Standard). Furthermore, security is tested by testing several known vulnerabilities, along with testing with OWASP ASVS.
Familiar hyperlipoproteinemias and other risk factors of cardiovascular diseases in men with erectile dysfunction
Prusíková, Martina ; Češka, Richard (advisor) ; Bultas, Jan (referee) ; Rosolová, Hana (referee)
Background: The relationship between erectile dysfunction and risk factors of atherosclerosis has been confirmed by a number of previous investigations. There are also plausible pathophysiological mechanisms explaining the observed association. One of the tested hypotheses in our work was the assumption that risk factors of atherosclerosis would be more prevalent in men with erectile dysfunction than in controls selected from the representative sample of the Czech population. Our work did not confirm this hypothesis. Most likely explanation can be greater representation of younger-middle aged men in our group than in the Czech post-Monica study in which the age distribution was equal. On the other hand authors of the Czech post-Monica study admit worse compliance in younger participants of their survey. Nevertheless, the risk factors of atherosclerosis occur very frequently in males with erectile dysfunction. Results: In our group mean cardiovascular risk calculated according to the SCORE chart was 3.39% (±3,39). In the Czech post-MONICA study conducted between 2007 and 2008 the mean SCORE risk reached 2.47%. There was a trend, though not statistically significant, towards direct relationship between the severity of ED and the SCORE CVD risk. Asymptomatic atherosclerosis was detected in 56.25% of our study...
Musical under the baton!(Conductor's role during the rehearsal process of The Legend Called Holmes - the musical)
Nováková, Kateřina ; Valášek, Marek (advisor) ; Pecháček, Stanislav (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the field of musical theatre and specifies all the activities and competencies of a conductor throughout the process of preparation and subsequent realization of a musical performance. The text of the thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of a musical, its brief world history and its integration into the Czech environment. It also maps the history of the Karlín Musical Theater and presents profiles of its current conductors. The aim of the theoretical part is to introduce the reader to the issues of this genre, to introduce its three basic components: music, drama and movement, and to point out the differences between classical musicals and those of a revue type. The second, practical part, focuses on the profession of conducting in the field of musical theatre. It demonstrates the specific activities of a conductor in two key genres of musical theatre: opera and musical. It also focuses on the means of expression a musical conductor works with, with a special emphasis on the tempo, which has been the subject of frequent discussions amongst members of different artistic components of the musical performance. In the following chapters, it introduces The Legend Called Holmes - The Musical, its script and its music genre. This...
Analysis of advertising in Czech PC gaming magazines 1998 - 215
Dovole, David ; Vlasák, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Švelch, Jaroslav (referee)
In my work I analyze advertising income in computer gaming magazines Score and Level from August 1998 to January 2015. I find this topic interesting for two reasons: first, I was a longtime reader of both these magazines and second, I worked in one of them for quite a time. My work consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I will try to describe the economic situation accompanying the period under review, including the global economic crisis of 2008-2009. I will try to summarize its origin and impacts on the Czech economy as well as the history of gaming journalism in the Czech Republic. In the practical part of the thesis I try to analyze by means of qualitative - quantitative analysis the advertising income in both monitored magazines during the monitored period. Based on the outcomes of this analysis, I will try to draw a context with which it would be possible to evaluate the approach of both magazines to the impacts of the economic crisis and to determine which of them managed to deal better with the crisis.
The Estimation of Probability of Default Using Logistic Regression
Jiřičko, Pavel ; Dlouhá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Formánek, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to build a probability prediction model for client loan repayment. First, the author selected suitable explanatory variables and explained these in detail in the thesis. The author examined various quantities both for qualitative variables (e.g. failure rates and scores) and quantitative variables (e.g. means and standard deviations) describing individual categories. The predictions were done by the use of logistic regression. The estimated coefficients of individual explanatory variables were examined in terms of their statistical significance. The author also described the impact of individual explanatory variables on the probability of a clients default. The probabilities were calculated for two clients with specific values of explanatory variables. The author managed to build a model that can be used to predict probability of client loan repayment defaults.
