Verification of the influence of a special training program on the development of motor skills of younger school hockey players
CIBOCH, David
The diploma thesis is aimed to create a training program for hockey players of school age and to confirm its effectiveness in practice. The created program consists of eight types of exercises. Two teams of hockey players were created for this experience. In total, there were thirty-two players between the age of ten to eleven. We made an entry test for both teams. One team trained according to our new training program and another team trained as usual. We made final testing of both teams after nine weeks. The testing was being made by four tests on an ice rink, that would test the movement ability of young hockey players. We verified both groups' results separately and statistically by pair t-test at the level of significance 0,05 and then we counted factual significance. Subsequently, we compared the results of both groups against each other, which we also proved statistically by using an unpaired t-test. There was an improvement in all measuring tests in the experimental group, which was also confirmed by statistical significance.

MENDEL, Dušan
The aim of this bachelor thesis refers to the English vocabulary of Czech professional sportsmen playing abroad. The main goal is to chart the vocabulary of the English-speaking football and hockey commentators and professional sportsmen. The attention is paid to Czech professional football and hockey players who played abroad and their experience with the sports slang. I discuss questions related to the English language with eight sportsmen from the Czech Republic who spent some time in their careers abroad. In the theoretical part, I mention the position of the English language in the World, current English vocabulary, and the topic of a professional sport and language. The work will also include sports slang, football and hockey terminology, and a comparison of Czech and English sports speech. In the practical part, I focus on the vocabulary of football and hockey commentators and sportsmen which I figure out with a help of the video records. Through interviews with selected Czech professional athletes, I find out how football and hockey players communicated in foreign clubs or how big a foreign language was an obstacle for them. I also try to form a table with them, which answers the question of whether athletes understand basic football and hockey terminology.

Veselský, Matouš ; Šalanda, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Numerato, Dino (referee) ; Slepičková, Irena (referee)
"Sport is everywhere and we are in it." These words are the leitmotif of Jiří Černý's book Fotbal je hra. Pokus o fenomenologii fotbalu. In this text, Černý points out the significance of sports and sports games in modern culture. At present, we are witnessing an ever-growing interest in sport from the perspective of various scientific disciplines. This dissertation thesis deals with the phenomenon of mega-events, large-scale (not only) sporting events that have broad, society-wide impacts, from a sociological, qualitative perspective. In the Czech context, these are primarily sports competitions of a smaller scale than, for example, the Olympic Games, but which can nevertheless have profound social impacts. Such sports events, which took place in the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia, undoubtedly became ice-hockey world championships. This dissertation thesis describes the Ice Hockey World Championship, uncharacteristically, through semi-structured interviews with the organizers of the championship from 2004 and 2015. This study is primarily about personal motivations, emotional connections, and personal interpretation of participation in the organization of the hockey championship. This qualitative approach to mega-events brings a very specific organizational perspective. At the same time, this...
