The theoretical part consists of 4 chapters and is based on an analysis of foreign and Czech specialized literature, studies and electronic media. The dissertation describes stuttering in children, adolescents and adults. It deals with the critical period of the onset of stuttering by specifying various risk factors. It also includes a description of other fluency disorders. A special attention is paid to the personality of the therapist and his/her impact on the therapy process. The dissertation also explains the application of ICF (International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health) model as a starting point for diagnosis and therapy of PWS as proposed by Yaruss and Quesal (2004). The empirical part is divided into two chapters. The first part consists of a case study which presents the experimental use of...

V empirickej časti je predmetom výskumného šetrenia analýza vplyvu klasického behaviorálneho prístupu a prístupu formou integratívneho modelu zajakavosti. Výsledky vstupného diagnostického vyšetrenia boli porovnané s dvomi vyšetreniami (počas aplikácie terapeutických programov a po ukončení aplikácie obidvoch terapeutických programov) u štyroch balbutikov s fixovanou zajakavos ou a nezrelým neuromotorickým systémom. Okrouhlíková, Lenka ; Hrubý, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Souralová, Eva (referee) ; Langer, Jiří (referee)
The thesis deals with possibilities of recording sign language vocabulary, especially the possible ways of notation of Czech sign language signs. The introductory chapter describes the first attempts to put the data down on paper in the 18th and 19th century in Europe. These ones were the first verbal descriptions of signs, sign notations and signs drawn in figures. Furthermore, the chapter gives a detailed description of the first notation system based on linguistic principles - William Stokoe's notation system, which was established in 1960 for American sign language and has become a basis and inspiration for many other notation systems which are also briefly described. A great deal of the paper is focused on possible ways to record Czech sign language lexicon. First, the thesis describes the "non- notational" ways of recording signs that were previously used in papers dealing with Czech sign language - description, figures, photographs, videos and computer simulations. After these, we focus on the particular standardized notational systems that can be used for our purposes - Czech notation system for sign language and its modifications, the Edinburgh non- manual notation system, Hamburg notation system, SignWriting and Berkeley transcription system. The last chapter provides an evaluation of...
Alteration of some psychological methods, which are applicable school readiness at hearing-impaired children
Frývaldská-Betinská, Markéta ; Krahulcová, Beáta (advisor) ; Jesenský, Ján (referee) ; Souralová, Eva (referee)
There is a wide range of different psycho diagnostics methods for evaluation of the school readiness of the pre-school children; however, there is no single method that is standardized or has benchmarks for hard-hearing and deaf children in the Czech Republic. This dissertation describes strong and weak point of the standard psycho diagnostic methods as well as provides recommendation which methods shall be used for psycho diagnostics of the school readiness of the hard-hearing and deaf children. The dissertation also outlines particular testing methodology for the hard-hearing and deaf children. The nine most frequently used methods were chosen for the dissertation research. A questionable understanding of the standard instruction has been indicated in seven methods: Screening Test of School Readiness, Ravens Progressive Matrices, Reversal Test, Retracing Test, Laterality Test and Drawing test of Human and Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales. Two methods cannot be used for hard-hearing or deaf children at all, since they test ability to recognize sounds of the speech; this was a Test of auditory differentiation a WPPSI Performance Scale. Moreover, WPPSI Performance Scale is a pure verbal based test focused on measuring verbal intelligence.
