The theoretical part describes changes in the concept of fatherhood that we observe in society, as well as ways of conceptualising fatherhood and the influence of the female partner. The constructs of co-parenting and gatekeeping are explained in connection with the influence of the female partner and parenthood as other potential approaches to grasping and understanding the phenomenon of fatherhood. The empirical part presents the results of qualitative research, which was carried out with the use of interpretive phenomenological analysis and semi-structured interviews. The topics that emerge from the analysis are the answers to the research question. The topic of partnership, especially its quality and mutual closeness, appears to be essential. This is further reflected in the fathers' self-evaluation as well as the level of the fatherhood experience. Another important area is the division of roles and competencies, which is influenced by whether the female partner has a traditional or liberal approach to parenting. Communication, which is a reflection but also a product of a partnership, is also an essential factor. The partner's influence is also evident in...

Be a good father
Men's perception of fatherhood influenced their upbringing, the experience, and the society in which they live. The research aimed to explain the mother-child relationship, and the topic of fatherhood used to be neglecting. The interest of researchers is recently changing. I described how fathers perceive fatherhood before the birth of a child and the change after. The aim was to determine how expectations in the fatherhood role differ from the fulfillment of this role. I used qualitative research. I contacted ten respondents who answered three main questions. Respondents agreed that fatherhood is a process that is constantly evolving. Fatherhood is about a greater responsibility to the family. The reality after childbirth was different from their imagination before. They also agreed that being a father is a full-time job, but there may not be any conflicts of social roles.

This thesis discusses the concept of fatherhood in the novels of Milan Kundera. The first part of the analysis focuses on initiation rituals leadings to the construction of the masculine identity and the future quality fatherhood; this thesis discusses unwanted fatherhood, the phenomenon of the missing father and the ethical aspects of the (non)fatherhood and the theme of fatherhood as a coming to terms with the world. I concentrate on the basic models od fatherhood in Kundera's novels, which bear a resemblance to archetypes of father. But it is less a typical archetypes analysis than a interpretative analysis combined with a resisting reading. Compatibility of opinions on parenting in couples
Hurychová, Alice ; Pavlík, Petr (advisor) ; Šprincová, Veronika (referee)
The aim of this study is to compare views on parenting of partners (from a gender perspective) in families caring for children. Changes in women's position in society, their increasing financial contribution to the family budget and therefore economic background influence the opinions about the overall organization of family life, which is reflected in the actual division of parental roles and associated responsibilities. Although the paper focuses primarily on the opinions and ideas about parenting, I did not fail to devote some space also their subsequent practice. Close interaction of people who share a household and raising children, can result in blindness, which in turn creates the feeling of certain conformity of opinion. Parents can sometimes mistakenly believe that their views on parenthood are shared by their partners. In the research I have included ten couples raising two or more children. For the chosen method of semi-structured interviews, I selected respondents from my circle of acquaintances. The choice was quite deliberate, as with many of them I knew for a long time. Therefore I have had an opportunity to watch some of their educational practices or behaviors, and wondered whether their views correspond to their actions. An important aspect when examining the similarities or...
