Cílem práce je prozkoumat zkušenosti otců s vlivem partnerky na utváření jejich otcovské role a lépe jim porozumět. V teoretické části jsou popsány změny v pojetí otcovství, které můžeme pozorovat ve společnosti, a dále způsoby konceptualizace otcovství a vlivu partnerky. V souvislosti s vlivem partnerky a rodičovstvím jsou vysvětleny konstrukty coparenting a gatekeeping jako další možné přístupy k uchopení a pojetí fenoménu otcovství. Empirická část představuje výsledky kvalitativního výzkumu, který byl realizován pomocí interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy za použití polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Odpovědí na výzkumnou otázku jsou témata vynořená z analýzy. Jako zásadní se ukazuje téma partnerského vztahu, především jeho kvalita a vzájemná blízkost. To se nadále promítá do oblasti sebehodnocení otců a také roviny prožívání otcovství. Další oblastí, která vystupuje do popředí, je rozdělení rolí a kompetencí, které je ovlivňováno nastavením partnerky v rámci tradičního či liberálního přístupu k rodičovství. Nezbytnou součást tvoří komunikace, která je odrazem ale i produktem partnerského vztahu. Ovlivnění partnerkou je patrné i v oblasti hodnot a postojů, které se vážou k otcovství. The aim of this thesis is to study and better understand the experience of fathers in how their partner helps shape their role as a father. The theoretical part describes changes in the concept of fatherhood that we observe in society, as well as ways of conceptualising fatherhood and the influence of the female partner. The constructs of co-parenting and gatekeeping are explained in connection with the influence of the female partner and parenthood as other potential approaches to grasping and understanding the phenomenon of fatherhood. The empirical part presents the results of qualitative research, which was carried out with the use of interpretive phenomenological analysis and semi-structured interviews. The topics that emerge from the analysis are the answers to the research question. The topic of partnership, especially its quality and mutual closeness, appears to be essential. This is further reflected in the fathers' self-evaluation as well as the level of the fatherhood experience. Another important area is the division of roles and competencies, which is influenced by whether the female partner has a traditional or liberal approach to parenting.
