Synodal process from the perspective of participatory innovations
Bernard, Tomáš ; Guasti, Petra (advisor) ; Franěk, Jakub (referee)
This thesis deals with the synodal process and democratic innovation. The main research objective is to determine whether the current synodal process, which began in 2021, can be described as a democratic innovation, specifically deliberative mini-publics, as it is a groundbreaking process that has been made available to all members of the Catholic Church for the first time in history. The research is based primarily on the theory of political scientist Archon Fung, who has written extensively on deliberative mini-publics. The thesis asks two main research questions. The first addresses whether, according to official Catholic Church materials describing the synodal process at the grassroots level, this process can be described as a deliberative mini-public. The research also selected two case studies focusing on two different parishes where the synodal process took place. The second research question was then answered by analyzing these two parishes to examine the fulfillment of selected design criteria of deliberative mini-publics. Based on the processed results of the analysis, it can be concluded that a level of fulfillment of the design elements was achieved such that the synodal process at the grassroots level was identified as a DMP. However, in answering the second research question, the...

The diploma thesis is named "Methods and Techniques of Drama Education as a Tool for Inclusion of Pupils with a Different Mother Tongue." In the theoretical part, the issues of pupils with a different mother tongue are specified. Subsequently, I generally discuss drama education as a method of teaching and furthermore its specific methods and techniques, which can be used for the inclusion of a pupil with a foreign mother language. In the practical part, I name the most common difficulties in the inclusion of a pupil with a foreign mother language in the educational process and define the utilization rate of drama education in eliminating the issues mentioned in the previous part. In the research, I used a quantitative analysis, a structured questionnaire method, and qualitative experiments through semi-structured interviews. The questionnaire was answered by 42 respondents (pedagogical employees). The results of the questionnaire analysis indicate that the greatest difficulties are language barriers, cultural differences, and unfamiliarity with the environment. The drama education method is used by three-quarters of the respondents; however, only nine of them are applying the method as a tool for eliminating the most frequent difficulties when working with students with a foreign mother language. Social work with citizens from Ukraine who have temporary protection status in the Czech Republic
NOVÁKOVÁ, Marie
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of social work with Ukrainian citizens who came to the Czech Republic after the outbreak of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The thesis contains a theoretical and practical part. The first chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the relations between Russia and Ukraine - it describes the situation after the independence of Ukraine and before the outbreak of the war in 2022. In the following chapters, the status of temporary protection, the characteristics of its users and the description of social work with refugees as a target group are presented. In this section, the needs of the target group, the principles of social work with refugee clients, the objectives of cooperation are introduced, and then the role of the social worker is defined, which should also be introduced to new clients with whom the worker establishes a relationship. The theoretical part is concluded with a chapter dealing directly with the social services that the target group can use with their status. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to research conducted with twelve Ukrainian refugees, which was carried out in cooperation with several institutions and services in České Budějovice. At the very beginning of the research, the issue of anonymity of the respondents proved to be crucial. Respondents often expressed concern that the answers would not be passed on to social service providers, for example, or could not be linked to the information they gave me - especially those expressing dissatisfaction or suggestions for improvement. Due to the specific nature of the research population, the specific names of organisations and service providers are not given in the thesis and a planned interview process was used with each respondent, particularly in terms of how responses were recorded. In particular, the research focused on whether and, if necessary, what social services this group of clients uses, whether they have sufficient awareness of their options in this area, what changes they would appreciate and what obstacles they most often encounter when cooperating with social services and during their everyday life.
