Impact of the covid-19 pandemic on the physical fitness of female volleyball players between the age of 14 and 16.
Bendová, Tereza ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the physical fitness of girls aged 14 to 16. The aim of this work is to evaluate the impact of the pandemic on a particular group of female volleyball players on the basis of recorded data. The theoretical part focuses on the pandemic itself, but mainly on the physical activity linked with the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The theoretical part also expands on information about volleyball and the individual player positions. The practical part deals with the recorded data and its evaluation. For data collection, I chose special motor tests performed on volleyball that test specific motoric abilities of volleyball players. The results showed that the physical fitness of the female volleyball players deteriorated in all tested areas. The biggest percentual deterioration can be found in the K-test used to measure speed. The deterioration rate was recorded in 100% of the players. Furthermore, when comparing whether the players' performance after returning to training recovered to their pre-pandemic levels, I found that not all players were able to perform the same. Title: Differences in the physical fitness of kindergarten children and children participating in artisritc gymnastics clubs in the stage of Active start. Objectives: The aim of the master's thesis is to evaluate whether there are differences in performance in selected tests of physical fitness and motor performance between 4-7 years old girls, while one group consists of girls attending gymnastics sports preparations and the other group consists of children attending other sport activities then gymnastics. Methods: The measurement is based on a combination of the Motor Competence Assessment battery, the Preschool Fitness Test and supplemented with a deep forward bend test in a sitting position. The data was collected in kindergartens and gymnastics clubs in the Prague city. The group from gymnastic clubs in the stage of Active start were represented by 19 girls with an average age of 5.66 years (s.d. = ± 0,25). The group of girls from kindergartens was represented by 17 girls with an average age of 5.73 years (s.d. = ± 0,81). Performances were compared by basic statistical indicators and statistical significance evaluation. Results: T-test evaluation statistical significance was found for the following tests: standing long jump, shuttle run 4 x 5 m, joint mobility range in forward bending, moving...

Rolejček, Jan ; Sýkora, Karel (advisor) ; Vágner, Michal (referee)
Title: Normalization study of motoric tests deadlift and medicine ball throw overhead backwards among members of the combat support battalion. Objective: The aim of this study is to establish performance standards for the three- repetition maximum deadlift and the backward medicine ball throw overhead. The resulting standards will subsequently be used to expand the test battery for the occupational assessment in the 141st Supply Battalion. Methods: Standardized testing was employed, followed by the establishment of performance standards. The research sample of 204 participants was divided into three categories based on gender and performance groups. IBM SPSS Statistics, a statistical software program, was used for data analysis. Data normality was assessed for each category using the Shapiro-Wilk test, and graphical verification was conducted using Q-Q plots. Performance standards were created using a quartile-based calculation method, employing a four- point scale with ratings of excellent, good, satisfactory, and unsatisfactory. Results: For performance group C of males, the following standards were established for the deadlift exercise: excellent = 115 kg and above; good = 103 kg and above; satisfactory = 90 kg and above; performances lower than 90 kg are considered unsatisfactory. For...

A total of 88 children participated in the testing, from which a sample of 35 probands was subsequently selected. The group of girls from sports preparations was represented by 19 girls with an average age of 5.66 years (s.d. = ± 0,25). The group of girls from kindergartens was represented by 17 girls with an average age of 5.73 years (s.d. = ± 0,81). Results: The result is a comparison of basic statistical indicators and an evaluation of statistical significance between a group of gymnasts and girls from kindergarten who engage regularly in organized physical activity. Based on the evaluation of the t-test, statistical significance was found for the...
Comparison of pupil's physical ability in urban and rural schools
Budková, Kristýna ; Kašpar, Ladislav (advisor) ; Chvostek, Lukáš (referee)
The aim of this study was to compare the physical ability of 7th grade elementary school students in towns and villages in the Nymburk district. Four motor tests were used to assess the student's physical ability: shuttle run 4x10 m, standing broad jump, sit-ups and endurance shuttle run. The theoretical part of the work focused on physical ability, its testing and physical activity. In the research section the study describes, evaluates and compares the data obtained from the physical ability testing of 494 pupils from 10 elementary schools, using the Unifittest point norms 6-60 for the age category of 12 years. The results of investigation showed that the physical ability level of the studied group is below average. However, pupils from urban schools achieved better average results in all four motor tests than pupils from rural schools. The average STB score of urban schools is 18,63 points, while the average STB of pupils in rural schools is 15,61 points. The testing also showed that pupil's endurance abilities were the weakest compared to the other tested disciplines.
Physical fitness of children in elementary school - comparison of physical fitness of 5th and 6th grade students with a view to the results of national testing
Drábek, Lukáš ; Suchý, Jiří (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the physical fitness of children in elementary school. The aim of this work is to determine the level of physical fitness of children in the 5th and 6th grade of elementary school and to compare the results with national testing. The UNIFITTEST 6- 60 test battery was used in the research investigation, which evaluates the achieved level of movement skills in four motor tests, which were also carried out during national testing. The first part of the research is an introductory measurement (pretest), in which the pupils of both classes are measured using four motor tests - a long jump from a standing position, a sit- down repeatedly, an endurance shuttle run and a 4x10 meter shuttle run. Within the measured period, the tested sample (5th grade) is lead for eight weeks to improve the given movement skills. In the final measurement (posttest), motor tests are performed with both groups and the change compared to the pretest is monitored. At the end, the achieved results of the 5th and 6th grades are compared with the outlook for the results of the national testing of the 7th grades. The research results are mentioned at the end of the practical part of the thesis. From the results, we can observe the continuing trend of reduced physical fitness of children and a large...

Title: The relationship between physical fitness and selected tests of cognitive functions in pupils of elementary schools Objectives: The main aim of the thesis was to estimate the relationship between physical fitness and cognitive abilities among pupils of elementary schools Methods: The thesis was carried out as a cross-sectional study. Pupils aged 8 to 12 years (n = 66; age 9.8 ± 0.8) participated in the study. The cognitive abilities were determined using standardized online tests on the portal www.proskoly.cz, and the physical fitness levels was determined using the test battery Unifittest (6-60) Results: The girls did not differ from the boys in any of the tests. In the overall group, the relationships between cognitive abilities and physical fitness were very weak and statistically not significant. However, in girls, we found indirectly proportional statistically significant (p <0.05) relationships between the Visual Memory test and all the physical fitness tests as well as between the Perception test and Standing Long Jump test, Shuttle Run Agility test, Endurance test, and overall Unifittest (6-60) score. No statistically significant relationship was found in the boys; however, the correlation indicated that the relationships were directly proportional Key words: cognitive abilities,...
