I elaborated the main goal into sub-research questions that deal with tools, strengths of the system, barriers, opportunities for curators to participate in policy making, the identification of curators with the current direction of the system, and I further find out whether curators have sufficient conditions for the performance of their profession. I also set two sub- goals. The first deals with the possibilities of innovation and improvement of the entire system, for example through examples of good practice or inspiration abroad. The second one investigates how the problems of recent times have been reflected in the performance of the curator's activities. The theoretical starting points of the work are the theory of...

Drug Prevention in Low-thershold Facilities for Children and Young People in Terms of Social Work
STRNADOVÁ, Pavlína
The submitted bachelor's thesis deals with drug prevention in low-threshold facilities for children and young people. The main goal was to find out how drug prevention is implemented and three research questions were developed to identify it. The Bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with drug prevention and policy, the historical context of drug policy, low-threshold facilities and prevention in them. Qualitative research, polling methods and data analysis were chosen for the practical part. The semi-structured interview was chosen as a technique. The research set consists of 5 informers who are social workers in low-threshold facilities. Informants were approached through email communications. The results of the research were evaluated using the open-coding method. This method produced a total of 10 categories with codes and each category contains at least two or more codes. Research has found that specifically drug prevention takes many forms, but on a whole picture the devices agree. Prevention programs fall under the educational, educational and activation activities of low-threshold facilities. This activity is anchored in the Social Services Act 108/2006 Coll. Low-threshold devices are anchored in this Act under Section 62. Furthermore, it was found that drugs, addictive substances and addiction in general are the most common and popular topics among clients encountered by workers when carrying out prevention activities. This Bachelor thesis offers a glimpse into drug prevention in low-threshold facilities. The results can be used by these facilities or social workers, who carry out anti-drug prevention activities, to improve them or make them more transparent.

Drug Prevention among Roma Youth
Hrabcová, Marta ; Sak, Petr (advisor) ; Janošová, Pavlína (referee)
This thesis deals with the drug prevention among Roma youth. It is based on the research among the clients of Children and Youth Centre Teen Challenge Int. I have been working there as a part time worker the last three years. Using the method of in-depth half- structured interviews, I interviewed twelve clients, ages in the range of ten to sixteen years. All of them were members of the Roma minority, which is a group significantly affected by social exclusion and wide range of socially pathological phenomena, including the use of addictive substances. Given this situation, Roma youth appears to be a group highly at-risk of drug addiction. This means that special attention should be paid to this group in selective prevention efforts. Beside this, non-specific prevention is also extremely important. In this paper I tried to show that, as many risk-factors are closely related to the very ethnic specificity of this minority. Its unique cultural features must be taken into account. Non-specific prevention should focus not only on the meaningful use of free time, but it should also seek to strengthen self-confidence, positive features of ethnic identity, ability of planning and postponing satisfaction. Some other important parts of non-specific prevention could consist of efforts to teach how to accept...
Running terapeutic community for youth with risky behaviours
Šiklová, Barbora ; Havránková, Olga (advisor) ; Vodáčková, Daniela (referee)
The master thesis deals with the applicability of the model of therapeutic community in the work with youth at risk. The aim of the thesis is to provide information about possible connection of these two phenomena based on theory and Czech practice. The thesis has a theoretical and an empirical part. The chapters of the theoretical part describe target groups from the view of adulthood development, the model of therapeutic community and its possible application in various diagnostic circles. The last chapter of the theoretical part describes the employment of the model of therapeutic community in the work with youth at risk in a historical perspective. Next, it suggests that the model of therapeutic community is compatible with the attainment of developmental goals during maturing. The empirical part maps the usage of elements of therapeutic community model in selected facilities which work with youth at risk. It informs whether these elements occur and if so, what shape they take in practice.
