The cultural aspects of adult education

The thesis is focused on the contribution of cultural education in lifelong learning and emphasizes cultural education in the field of museums and galleries, which traditionally contribute to the development of human cultural competence. The thesis describes basic museum activities, the development of museum education and typical forms of learning in the museum. Benefits of the museum's activities are not only in the collection of proof of our cultural or natural history and their conservation, but also in the opportunity of being educated through them. Authentic objects are the basis of knowledge in the museum. The thesis is also focused on educational activities offered at the Museum of Applies Arts in Prague with an emphasis on educational programs dedicated to a group of adult visitors. The research based on interviews with several experts of the Museum of Applied Arts in Prague took place at the end of the thesis and showed that this important cultural institution targets the adult visitors with its educational programs. Such programs mediate a deeper understanding of the presented topic, deepen the interest and enhance the experience and thus contribute to the maintenance of cultural competence and the cultivation of personality.
Innovations in the management of non-formal education

This final thesis deals with innovations in the management of informal education. The main objective is to highlight the importance of innovations in informal and leisure education, and bring inspiration to the managers of informal and leisure education in the form of examples of good practice. In the theoretical part informal and interest education is incorporated into the overall educational system of the Czech Republic and its development is illustrated on the laws and decrees from 1948 to present. The research in the form of structured interview with respondents revealed their view on innovations in leisure education and showed their experience with the introduction of innovations in their own organizations. The process and the conclusions of structured interviews clearly highlighted the need for innovation in informal and leisure education for the competitiveness of informal education organizations. The executives of school facilities for leisure education as well as organizations of informal education can hereby find inspiration for each specific innovation in the examples of good practice.
Beginning phase of career manager for non-formal education

This thesis deals with the beginning phase of career manager for organization non- formal education. The work examines the process that precedes the onset school manager to executive positions primarily in terms of motivation, expectations and subsequent reality. It describes the initial phase of his work in a new role in life from the perspective of the management of school facilities and other activities associated with this process . The work is mapped to what extent the entrance to the Director and his previous preparation reflects on the development of controlled organization and quality of education provided . It also describes how to correspond to the expectations of the individual manager of educational facilities with a daily reality in the context of changing conditions providing non-formal education, based on education legislation and the overall development of society in the approach to the use of leisure time. The Integration of Disabled People to the Leisure Time International Projects

The topic of this thesis is integration of the physically disabled into international exchange projects. By chosing this issue, I would like to point out the importance of integration of physically disadvantaged not only into educational facilities, where the integrated gain knowledge, but also into programs for free-time activities of children and youth and into programs where the informal and enterntaining ways are used. However, in the Czech Republic the integration of physically disadvantaged into schools is elaborated the best, I believe it needs to be attended to in other fields too. Another point I draw attention to in my thesis is the need for free time in a person's life. I specifically mean the free time dedicated to various activities either beneficial to one's health, bringing joy or as a way of relaxation. By the end of my theoretical part I describe the handicap in a persons's life. In the practical part I describe the EU program - Youth in Action, which enables young peope to travel into foreign countires for either short or long term period. This program also provides youth free-time exchanges with the possibilitiy of integrating physically challenged people. I describe what an international exchange involves. Innovations in the management of non-formal education

This final thesis deals with innovations in the management of informal education. The main goal of this work is to determine the extent to which the executives of leisure education organizations recognize the need for innovations in different areas of the organization, to compare the extent and content of specific innovations in selected organizations and explore in which areas and based on which stimuli the innovations in these organizations arise. The obtained information is useful for efficient preparation of further training of organization executives and described examples of good practice as an inspiration to improve the performance of leisure and informal education organizations. The theoretical part incorporates leisure and informal education into the overall education system of the Czech Republic and its development is illustrated on the laws and decrees from 1948 to present. Research in the form of structured interview reveals the respondents view on innovations in leisure education and shows the respondents experience with the introduction of innovations in their own organizations. The conclusions of this research clearly show the need for innovation in informal and leisure education for the competitiveness of individual organizations. The impact of educational activities of selected NGOs in the CR on the process of migrant children inclusion to the Czech society

In my Master thesis, I deal with the impact of educational activities of selected NGOs on the process of migrant children inclusion to the Czech society. The thesis is both theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part deals with the process of immigrant integration and with the role of the governmental and non-profit organizations. A large part is devoted to the migrant children's education and to the difficulties which they have and must overcome. The end of the theoretical part presents the educational activities of selected non-profit organizations, which focus not only on helping migrant children, but also on working with schools and families of the children. The empirical part examines the impact of specific educational activities realized at the community center InBáze on the process of migrant children inclusion to the Czech society. The Learning Process and the Difficult Moments of an Occupational Track in Helping Professions

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of a lifelong learning process and on the people who work in helping professions. At first, it provides a view on specific requirements of helping profession and on the difficult moments connected with their (people's) performance. Further it describes particular forms of lifelong learning and formal and informal education that tries to find out which of these forms is evaluated as beneficial to cope with the demanding points during the performance of helping profession. By using a qualitative method of an interview with some chosen respondents, workers in helping profession, an empirical inquiry about the people's experience of the difficult moments at work and about each form of lifelong learning and education is performed. Subsequently, the thesis analyses the gained findings then draws up a conclusion and a recommendation which arose from the analysis of the interview. This bachelor thesis Qualifications according to the needs of the time deals with the lifelong learning, its main idea and the main signs of the society of knowledge. It deals with the kinds and division of lifelong learning. Further the strategic documents are pointed out, on which is the main conception of this thesis, based on. The second part describes the concept of lifelong learning in Czech Republic. Here the main goals of lifelong learning are described and the way of cooperation of the systems and organizations, which are involved in its realization. The last part of this bachelor thesis is directed on the interview analysis. Here is shortly characterized the methodology of quantum research followed by its evaluation. The interviews were made with the employers in security services, who have the biggest experiences with lifelong learning in Czech Republic.
Correspondence physics competition of MFF UK - its feedback and development

Correspondence physics competition of MFF UK - FYKOS - is extracurricular physical educational activity organized by university students for upper secondary school students. FYKOS is organized by Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University in Prague (MFF UK). FYKOS' main goals are: dissemination of physics, education of upper secondary school students, establishing conditions for creation of social bindings between participants (and organizers) and propagation of possibility of studies at MFF UK. This work is the first complete text about running of FYKOS and it is also the first systematical feedback from FYKOS' participants and FYKOS' organizers. The first part is a description of all FYKOS' activities (correspondence part, camps, FYKOSí Fyziklání and others). The second chapter includes an analysis of statistical survey of FYKOS' participants. Other chapters are dedicated to the description of gathering feedback and its interpretation. The feedback was made in several ways - interviews, web questionnaire and email questionnaire. Special attention was turned to study and professional development of former participants.
