Processing of Incorrect XML Data

XML documents and related technologies represent widely accepted standard for managing and exchanging semi-structured data. However, surprisingly high number of XML documents is affected by well-formedness errors, structural invalidity or data inconsistencies. The aim of this thesis is the analysis of existing approaches resulting to the proposal of a new correction framework. The introduced model involves repairs of elements and attributes with respect to single type tree grammars. Via the inspection of the state space of an automaton recognising regular expressions, we are always able to find all minimal repairs. These repairs are compactly represented by recursively nested multigraphs, which can be translated to particular sequences of edit operations altering data trees. We have proposed four particular algorithms and provided the prototype implementation supplemented with experimental results. The most efficient algorithm heuristically follows only perspective repair directions and avoids repeated computations using the caching mechanism.

Mining XML Integrity Constraints

The most important integrity constraints in XML are primary keys and foreign keys. In general, keys are essential in understanding both the structure and properties of data. They provide an instrument by which va- lues from a given set of attributes uniquely identify tuples in a database. As a result, keys are important to main database operations. Since XML beco- mes lingua franca for data exchange on the web, it is widely accepted as a model of real world data. Because XML documents in general can appear in any semi-structured form, structural constraints (including keys) are often imposed on the data that are to be modified or processed These constra- ints are formally defined in a schema.Unfortunately, in spite of the obvious advantages, the presence of a schema is not mandatory and many XML do- cuments are not joined with any. Consequently, no integrity constratins are specified in those documents, neither. This thesis is mainly focused on the inference of primary and foreign keys from XML documents. 1

The political business cycle

The main aim of my thesis was to describe the basic resources of political-business cycle and elements which have an influence on it. The tendency to put this phenomenon to a wider context showed us that the political-business cycle is affected by the type of electoral system, increasing power of special interest groups or bureaucratic system. Among the economic elements we can include restrictions of the Government to conduct a monetary policy because of central bank independence. Application of theoretical knowledge to conditions of the Czech Republic proved to be very problematical. Due to the economical transformation the political and economic system in our country demonstrated in non-standard conditions which made the empirical testing of political-business cycle more difficult. In connection with this also comes a problem of short time series which significantly reduces the possibility of any relevant comparison.

Informational system for cooperation of small groups

The main aim of this work is to implement concrete informational system for cooperation and information interchange within small working groups of users and to analyze all aspects which have exposed to be important during the development of this informational system. That means not only to design the structure of relatively complex program, but also to design main concepts of its behaviour and other features, which significantly affect functionality, which is then provided by the system to its users. For example it comprises the draft of user registration model, membership of those users in groups, multilevel hierarchy of user powers or managing user sessions. All those important models are discussed in this work and there are also analyzed their advantages and potential difficulties. The second part of this work contains the description of implementation of all interesting or important parts of the system. It means for example the mechanisms of database queries execution, generating universal paged listings, editing processes and inputs from users, working desktop layout or other functionality provided by the kernel, as well as the description of system sections such as Actions planning, Discussions, Inquiries etc.

Men as a victims of domestic violence - system of care and help in Czech republic

This diploma thesis is focused on male victims of domestic violence. Firstly the term domestic violence is defined than the characterization of gender aspects of domestic violence followed. In the theoretical part of diploma thesis gender aspects of theoretical conception of domestic violence and empirical survey of domestic violence are also reflected. In the end of theoretical part a fundamental frame for solution to domestic violence cases is defined in Czech context. Empirical part of diploma thesis is answering the question, whether the institutions and organizations, which are working with victims of domestic violence, are prepared and able to help male victims of domestic violence. The critical discourse analyses was applied to answer the same question when three informative texts of organizations supporting victims of domestic violence were examinated.

Expropriation of real property

79 14. EXPROPRIATION OF OWNERSHIP TITLE TO LAND AND BUILDINGS This work is titled "Expropriation of ownership title to land and buildings". An expropriation is one of the special interference of the state to the property right. It not allows only to the deprivation of the ownership title but also the restriction thereof. In the Czech Republic there are legal bases of expropriation established in the Bill of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, which is part of constitutional system. Based on the article no. 11 this constitutional law the expropriation and limitation of property rights is possible only in public interest, under the rule of law and with compensation. The specification of these conditions of the article No. 11 of the Bill of Fundamental Rights and Freedom contain Czech Civil Code and the Commercial Code, which determines conditions for the expropriation of property owned by foreigners. The general rule for expropriation is Act No. 184/2006 Coll.(Expropriation Act), governing expropriation of the ownership title to land and buildings, including the next condition of expropriation, compensation for expropriation and special administrative procedure. The authority database of the National Library of the Czech Republic - perspectives of development

Tématem práce je kooperativní systém zpracování autoritnich záznamů v České republice a možnosti jeho dalšího rozvoje v kontextu mezinárodně doporučené metodiky a zkušeností ze zahraničních projektů. V úvodní části rigorózní práce je analyzován termín "autorita". Další část je věnována základním aspektům mezinárodního vývoje autoritních databází, a to především z hlediska vývoje standardů a doporučení pro zpracování. Dokumentuje vývoj českého národního autoritního souboru pro jmenné i věcné záznamy od konce devadesátých let 20. století do roku 2006. Podrobně jsou hodnocena doporučení IFLA "Směrnice pro autoritni záznamy a odkazy" a konceptuální model "Funkční požadavky na autoritni záznamy". Pro identifikaci autoritního záznamu v kooperativních systémech je významným prvkem identifikátor entity a identifikační čísla záznamů, práce analyzuje několik těchto systémů. Práce se věnuje mezinárodním projektům (NACO, AUTHOR, VIAF, LEAF) a využití jejich zkušeností v českém systému. Těžiště práce spočívá v rozboru historie, finančního zabezpečení, technického řešení a metodiky projektu "Kooperativní tvorba a využívání souboru národních autorit". V závěrečném shrnutí jsou definovány okruhy problémů, jejichž vyřešení by umožnilo další rozvoj českého projektu.
