As the imaginary height of the whole theoretical part are considered the chapters about the effects of happiness, meaning and positive strategies with the special regard on the consequences, an inner source and the possibilities of improving happiness. In the empirical part of this thesis the aim is creating the grounded theory of happiness based on qualitative methodology. This theory expresses the specific categories with their relationships as occurring in individual interviews and offers the...
Examination of reading skills in reading printed or digital text by children of younger school age.
Marková, Kateřina ; Šporclová, Veronika (advisor) ; Pešout, Ondřej (referee)
The diploma thesis is focused on examination of reading skills in reading printed or digital text from screen by children in elementary school age. Ever younger readers are encountering digital reading at the beginning of the development of their reading skills. Therefore, this work aims to map the effect of screen reading and the differences in the processing and the text comprehension as opposed to printed text. The theoretical part describes the psychological aspects of reading based on Czech and foreign sources. Further, this part summarizes the findings of reading digital text from screen, in particular the factors that affect such reading, its advantages and disadvantages and the processes during this reading. A separate chapter is devoted to reading from the screen by school-age children who were subsequently probands of the research part. The empirical part deals with the verification of several hypotheses. These hypotheses verify differences in reading of printed and digital text of the same difficulty. Proband are elementary school pupils aged 8-10 (n=93, girls n=48, boys n=46). Z. Matějček's Reading Exam was chosen as a method for verifying reading skills, which makes it possible to evaluate the dynamics of reading competencies such as performance in error rate, speed, and comprehension...
Colour terminology in pre-school education
Marková, Kateřina ; Kafková, Helena (advisor) ; Daniel, Ladislav (referee)
TITLE: Colour terminology in pre-school education AUTHOR: Kateřina Marková DEPARTMENT: Department of Art Education SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Helena Kafková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The work focuses on studying color terminology in a specific pre-school and on their practical usage in pre-school environment. The core issue is the functional vocabulary of arts education, specifically its part connected to colors, understood predominantly as color tonality. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of literature review and the author's reflections on the studied texts. The work, besides pedagogical contexts of pre-school art education, touches the usage of colors in chosen periods of art history and on the practical side, it describes the usage of colors in a specific preschool environment. The research methods are qualitative and include observation and analysis of individual practices and portfolios and other presentations and data resource. KEYWORDS: color terminology; color shades; pre-school education; qualitative empirical probe; functional dictionary of Arts Education
Mirroring in a linear perspective.
Marková, Kateřina ; Hromadová, Jana (advisor) ; Šarounová, Alena (referee)
Title: Mirroring in a linear perspective Author: Kateřina Marková Department: Department of Mathematics Education Supervisor: RNDr. Jana Hromadová, Ph.D., Department of Mathematics Edu- cation Abstract: This text is intended especially for teachers and students of high schools and colleges who are interested in descriptive geometry. The thesis on the topic of mirroring in linear perspective presupposes basic knowledge of linear perspective. It includes short introduction into the topic of linear perspective and its basic terms, explanation of the principle of mirroring and clarification of constructions that are needed to solve tasks. Main part of the thesis is a problem book with solution. It contains examples on the topic of mirroring in linear perspective for all the basic mirror positions. Every task is supplied with step-by-step solution in the GeoGebra software and a PDF file. Another part of the thesis are photographs of different mirror positions in real life situations. Keywords: Linear perspective, mirroring, vertical, horizontal, sloping mirror
A Cyber-bullying against the Teacher and Possibilities of its Prevention
Marková, Kateřina ; Štětovská, Iva (advisor) ; Morávková, Kateřina (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on cyberbullying against teachers a posibillities of its prevention. Intrinsic fluorescence of bacteria Cupriavidus necator
Marková, Kateřina ; Obruča, Stanislav (referee) ; Mravec, Filip (advisor)
This thesis focuses on autofluorescence of flavins in gram-negative bacteria Cupriavidus necator H16 and its mutant strain PHB-4. The main methods used were fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry. To confirm the presence of flavins, excitation and emission spectra of the bacterial suspension were measured, which were compared with flavin standards. In the part of testing cells without stress response, the autofluorescence of bacteria in PBS buffer and cell suspensions stained with fluorescence probe BODIPY 493/503 was measured. The ratio of short fluorescence lifetime to long autofluorescence lifetime, and its dependence on fluorescence probe was compared with previous conditions. Autofluorescence of the supernatant was measured; it was found that the relative amplitude of long lifetime was multiple times higher than in the cell. In the part devoted to the stress response, this thesis was focused on the amount of dissolved oxygen in the production medium and the effect on bacterial autofluorescence. Then differently concentrated hydrogen peroxide was used, the best results were obtained from the concentration of 100 mM in media. For comparison a combination of hydrogen peroxide with ferro-ammonium sulphate was used, but there was no big difference. Sodium azide and antimycin A were selected as substances that directly influence on bacterial respiratory chain. Both compounds affected change in the ratio of the relative amplitudes, but the distribution of these lifetimes and the autofluorescence change over time was affected only by sodium azide.
Strategic brand communication on Instagram
Marková, Kateřina ; Láb, Filip (advisor) ; Zezulková, Markéta (referee)
The main objective of this master thesis is to describe the way Czech brands are using Instagram in their strategic communications. Instagram allows brands to share information about their products, communicate with fans and to gather feedback. This two-way communication also influences the development of a brand identity. The theoretical frame focuses on concepts related to strategic brand communications on Instagram and it describes tools and features that can be used in this process. Collaboration with influencers is also mentioned as one of the crucial strategies. Qualitative research was conducted using in-depth interviews with curators and strategists responsible for Czech brand accounts on Instagram. The sample consists of six brand accounts, representing various industries (fashion, car industry, photo products, electronics, food and FMCG). The data obtained from these interviews were divided into six groups where the role of Instagram, content creation, hashtags, the use of Instagram features, collaboration with influencers and future predictions were mainly emphasized. The results of this thesis could potentially serve as an inspiration and recommendation for smaller companies or brands that just started using Instagram in their communication plan.
