A View on Reflection in Nursing and Social Work Education

In times of dynamic social changes and uncertainty, reflective practice becomes crucial for social work and nursing. This dissertation examines the epistemological foundations and the multidimensional nature of reflection within professional education from various theoretical perspectives tested through original empirical findings, which aim to prevent the reduction of reflection to a mere technique and instead promote dialogue, interdisciplinary cooperation, and participatory methods. Drawing on phenomenological and critical constructivist approaches deepens the understanding of educators' individual and collective experiences and reflective practices. The structure of the thesis corresponds to three empirical phases. The first phase investigates the characteristics of reflection and its developmental potential using SRIS and PHLMS questionnaires. The second phase, encompassing reflexive thematic analysis of interviews, addresses educators' views on reflection and their methods of promoting reflectivity among students. In the third phase, the work employs Q methodology to process and analyze various perspectives on reflection among educators. The social support of patients treatment at the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology

Treating children with a malignant disease represents a very difficult situation for the patients and their families. The purpose of the thesis is to map social work, state help and support from non-profit organizations to families of children with cancer. Part of the work is a research investigation. The research was divided into three categories. The survey for families of children treated at the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic at the University Hospital Motol was made in the first part. The second part consists of an interview with a healthcare social worker. The third part is an analysis of the documentation of selected oncological patients. The main finding is - social work practice is sufficient. There is a variety of state social support, but it is very slow. Families are well informed about the possibilities of state social support. Families used financial support from the Good Angel Foundation and material support from other non-profit organizations. The respondents expressed interest in the information paper, the proposal of which is part of the thesis. The work is divided into historical periods between the times before the Battle of White Mountain and today. Each historical period describes different aspects of social work and how they developed. The topic of this thesis is the Methods of social work with elderly people used in our territory in 1948-1989. The goal of this thesis is to description of the methods used in social work with seniors in the defined period. The method used in this thesis is a synthesis of scientific knowledge from literature mapping social work in the period from 1948 to 1989 and analysis of the historical period. This thesis is divided into five main chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to the theoretical framework, which describes the social area with an emphasis on old people. The second chapter is devoted to the introductory article on social work from the perspective of the target group of seniors. Attention is paid especially to the introduction to the political context and the social security system and the functioning of social services. A necessary part of this work is also a brief historical excursion, which is described in the third chapter. The historical excursion briefly maps the period from the 17th century to the first half of the 20th century, in the context of perception of old age, death and family cohabitation. Bereaved parents perception of perinatal loss

The topic of the thesis is the perception of perinatal loss by bereaved parents. Perinatal loss is a tragic event in the life of parents that is still taboo in our society and parents are not given enough support. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to describe the perception of perinatal loss through the eyes of bereaved parents, and to further outline the main needs, communication with the spouse, their family and immediate family, and support services used, with the intention of contributing to a greater understanding and awareness to guide support in the health and social care system. Introduction of supervision in the psychiatric ward in the district hospital

1 Abstract The objective of the thesis presents introduction of supervision at a psychiatric ward and observation if any changes occurred in connection with its realization. First of aims is mostly organizationally practical, respectively demanding sensitivity for supervision process and its inclusion into context of both organizational processes and organizational culture. To fulfil the second objective, standard methodological approaches through quantitative measurement were used and the chosen data were compared both at the beginning and conclusion of the observed process of supervision introduction. The monitoring of changes during the introduction of supervision was based on assumptions of specific demands of psychiatric nursing on staff, so the chosen observation of changes was in resistance of employees to stress, in trust and safety in team, its reflectivity and expectations from supervision. To be able to answer to practical question of how well the integration was introduced into the overall functioning of the ward, it was necessary to find answers from the position of insider and ward manager using interviews, possibly meeting record, and based on recording specific clues which testify about interaction between what is happening at ward and supervision. The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of participation of the parents or other close persons of the patients during the hospitalization of the child. The aim of the diploma thesis is to map the aspects that influencers participate in. The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, I focus on theoretical knowledge related to the topic. The empirical part is processed using the method of qualitative research using semistructured interviews. The information found during the research investigation is compared in the discussion with theoretical anchoring of the topic. Endings in team supervision

An ending in supervision is always an important moment. What precedes it and what goes on during it? The thesis focuses on endings in team supervision and explores how these endings can be affected by John Bowlby's concept of attachement and the developmetal sequence model of small groups by Bruce Tuckman. It uses a qualitative interview analysis to describe individual cases, that are summarized and compared to the available literature that focuses on the theme of endings in supervision.
