Elleder, Libor ; Hladný, Josef (advisor) ; Munzar, Jan (referee) ; Brázdil, Rudolf (referee)
2 Abstract The thesis aims to point to the importance of the proxydata, in particular their significance for hydrology and water management. The historical hydrology, the subject of which the proxydata are, offers the whole range of techniques for extrapolation of the knowledge on hydrological phenomena into the relatively distant past. The thesis includes the review of the scientific literature targeted in particular to the processes and history of the records of hydrometeorological phenomena, the origin of the historical hydrology, its methodology and potentialities. The author's own work focuses on the application of the techniques already in use and apart from that it presents the very new methodological approaches. This includes the reconstruction of the culmination discharges using the combination of several techniques, the reconstruction of the hydrograms of the historical floods, etc. The main goal has been to reconstruct the time series of estimated peak discharges in Prague for the period of 1118-2002. This meant to reassume the former results published in the form of the chronologies of interpreted and verified documentary sources. These were completed by the corrected Klementinum records of the water levels. Recently localized epigraphic sources have been utilized and the analysis of the...

Geological mapping of the Landscape Protected Area Žďárské vrchy Highlands in a scale 1:25 000. Map sheets: 13 – 443 Chotěboř, 23 – 222 Herálec, 24 – 112 Jedlová, 23 – 223 Přibyslav, 24 – 113 Nové Město na Moravě, 24 – 114 Dalečín, 24 – 131 Bobrová
Kirchner, Karel ; Roštínský, Pavel
The report, whose elaboration was the subject of a contract between the Czech Geological Survey and the Institute of Geonics CAS, compiles information on basic morphostructural characteristics of the area of Žďárské vrchy Highland within map sheets of the Basic Map of the Czech Republic in a scale 1:25 000 mentioned above (the sheet Bobrová was situated within the area under study only in part), related to major geomorphological units. Information mentioned were, first, based on a study of available data and archival materials about Žďárské vrchy Highland and, second, on a new field research. An important part of the report constitutes a brief description of interesting geomorphological localities for every map sheet (altogether 26), chosen to involve major geomorphological phenomena and document particular phases of landscape evolution of the given area (included especially structural, fluvial, cryogenous and athropogennic landforms). On the basis of the choice, a schematic map of geomorphological localities of the Žďárské vrchy Highland was created in a GIS, including also 6 map sheets elaborated in a year 2004.

Pohanková, Iva ; Svoboda, Jiří (referee) ; Knoll, Jiří (advisor)
Considering the ever growing demands imposed on the present day education managers and their subordinates in a rapidly developing transformation society, the issues of mental well-being and of keeping it are substantiated, because properly working managers and teaching staff play a key role in every school's success. This thesis is focusing on identifying the causes of the negative phenomena connected with mental health with which education managers and teaching staff are confronted on an everyday basis; i.e. the causes of stress and burnout syndrome. This thesis also deals with the aftermaths of these negative factors that may have adverse effects on the performance of the whole staff. The main objective of the thesis was to compile a well-arranged manual for school managers, or principals. The manual should be instrumental in creating an appropriate concept of mental hygiene for the teachers. Its implementation could prevent the above-referenced phenomena in a goal-directive fashion, minimize their occurrence, and deal with their consequences, if any, effectively and immediately.

Yugoslav Experiment as an Inspiration for Reform Process in Czechoslovakia
Uxa, Šimon ; Tejchman, Miroslav (advisor) ; Šístek, František (referee)
The paper Utilisation of the Yugoslav experiment as an inspiration for the Czechoslovak reforms in the period of the Prague Spring deals with a comparison between the fundamental elements of the Yugoslav self-management model, which started to develop in the Balkan country from the end of the 1940s, and the prevailing visions and targets of the Czechoslovak reform process of the second half of the 1960s. The economic system of the Tito Yugoslavia represented, in fact, the only alternative to the directive Soviet model which was copied from the Soviet Union by other countries of the East Block. It is mainly for this reason why it is highly possible that the Czechoslovak experts looked for an inspiration in the already working Yugoslav system whose strong and weak points could already be seen in practice. For the purpose of this comparison, we have chosen five main backbones of both economic systems, as follows: planning, position of enterprises, price system, foreign trade and private enterprise. The selection of the phenomena is conditioned by their existence itself, and mainly by their significant importance for both the Yugoslav experiment and the reforms of the Prague Spring. Keywords: Yugoslavia, self-governing socialism, Czechoslovakia, reform process, 1960s, planning, price systém, position of...

The quality of the pedagogical-psychological advisory. Prevention of socially undesirable phenomena in the Ústí nad Labem region
Ulrichová, Iva ; Vrzáček, Petr (advisor) ; Slavíková, Ivana (referee)
Education is a personal and social investment, and it must be of high quality to achieve the expected economical, social, and personal progress. The education system includes pedagogical-psychological advisory services, which are aimed at helping children and adolescents to resolve problems occurring in their upbringing, education process, and employment selection. In the Czech Republic, the pedagogicalpsychological advisory is provided particularly at school age level and within school advisory departments. Unlike the quality and effectiveness of education, the quality of the advisory services, which includes diagnostics, methodology, and prevention, has never been treated with the appropriate attention. The advisory facility employees provide services for children, their parents, and for the pedagogical employees at schools. One of the tasks of the advisory facility, which is currently growing in significance, is the provision of services for the prevention of socially undesirable phenomena in children and youths. The text of this work focuses on pedagogicalpsychological counselling, its origin, development, and current status, and the evaluation possibilities regarding the advisory services. The principal task of the diploma work is to provide a perspective of the real situation of employees - the...

It is assumed that speei:fie views of the world exist within tbe frames of partieular loea! eultures. The eharaeteristie features are expressed in such eultura! eategories as pereeption of a territory and the way of understanding the f1ight oftime. It is likely to be impossible to rea!ize the phenomena by the means of "objeetive" researeh. As a result of this, tbe thesis gives atlention to a "subjeetive" point of view. The unique way of understanding the universe and the symbol s of the Ioea! eulture are taken down. Tbe thesis is divided into three parts: Territory, Time and People.
