Evaluating Quality of Service Design
Hejl, Daniel ; Feuerlicht, Jiří (advisor) ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (referee)
Service Oriented Architecture is a popular choice of system architecture and many organization are moving towards it in order to closely align IT capabilities with their business goals. They are expecting that the implementation of SOA will lead to increased efficiency, the ability to rapidly respond to changing business environments, and significantly improved return on investment. In order to meet these expectations, great emphasis must be given on correct service design. However, designing services in the way that they are highly reusable and the final product is highly maintainable can be especially challenging. This bachelor thesis focuses on summarization of how metrics for measuring structural properties of service oriented software designs can be used for predicting potential problems in service design. In the practical part of this thesis, a tool for evaluating a service design based on coupling between service interfaces was implemented and practical applicability of one of the metric was demonstrated.

Přibyl, Tomáš ; Tomášek, Michal (advisor) ; Zemánek, Jiří (referee)
The Consumer Protection in Financial Services under European Law As a subject of my thesis, I chose the theme of consumer protection in financial services under European law. I have chosen this theme deliberately as I do meet with the issue of consumer protection in the area of finance every day at the working level, because I work in Consumer Protection Department of the Czech National Bank (hereinafter referred as to "ČNB"). The independent consumer protection department has practically launched its activity in the August 2008 as a result of the transfer of necessary powers made under an amendment of Act No. 6/1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank and Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection. Under these new powers the ČNB accepts suggestions, complaints and other consumer submissions concerning financial entities which are subject to the ČNB supervision. My aim was to include consumer protection in financial services, in the way it is undertaken in the European Union, to the context of supervision rules, which are performed by our national supervisor. The thesis is divided in seven main chapters. The introduction describes primary objective and structure of the work. In the second part, I essayed to generally describe consumer protection in the EU, to briefly identify and define concept of a...

The level of first aid knowledge of lay public
RYBÁČEK, Jan
The level of first aid knowledge of lay public is the topic I have chosen for my thesis. By the term first aid, a set of simple procedures is meant, that, if provided by a proper way and in time, significantly increase the chances of survival of an affected person. The thesis deals with the issue of whether general (lay) public is aware of first aid procedure, including the first aid procedures in selected life threatening states. In the practical part there are clearly processed research results that are consequently compared in the discussion with the results of other authors. The data for research were gathered in the following towns in South Bohemia ? České Budějovice, Český Krumlov, Prachatice, Třeboň and Vimperk. The research file was made up by randomly selected lay respondents in South Bohemia. To gather the research data, I applied quantitative research realized by the method of questioning and the technique of a questionnaire. On the grounds of the evaluation of the questionnaire the pre-set hypotheses were proved or disproved. The objective of the work was to find out what is the lay public knowledge of first aid and also to reveal, whether the level of knowledge increases proportionally with increasing education. The last objective was to evaluate, why some people are either afraid or do not want to provide first aid. The research results show that the lay public knowledge of first aid is not sufficient. However, it is evident that level of knowledge increases with increasing education. Further it was revealed that the main reason for not providing first aid is ignorance of first aid procedures. The results of the thesis might be used for first aid education providers or to inform general public and also it can serve as a basis for further research in this field.

Furthermore, it examines their knowledge of appropriate procedures for working with learners with SLD and ability to apply it in practice to psychologically support of these learners. It partially compares...

Host specificity, diversity and distribution of avian malaria parasites in a contact zone of two nightingale species
Šíma, Michal ; Munclinger, Pavel (advisor) ; Sádlová, Jovana (referee)
Avian contact zones were suggested to act as barriers to parasite expansions. I studied haemosporidian parasites (genera Plasmodium, Haemoproteus, and Leucocytozoon) of two Nightingale species which meet in a contact zone in Europe. In total 20 lineages of parasites were detected. Surprisingly, all common lineages were shared by the two host species. The parasite prevalence vary between species (Trush Nightingales were more often parasitized than Common Nightingales.) but did not vary to a large extent within zones inside species Parasitemia of the most frequent Haemoproteus LULU1 lineage assessed by Real-Time PCR method did not differ significantly between the two host species. Six out of nine hybrids of the nightingale species were parasitized. Haemosporidian lineages found in hybrids were also frequent in the parental species. In conclusion, the nightingale contact zone seems to have only little (if any) effect on the distribution of haemosporidian parasites.

Prevention Options of Insults Caused by Ionizing Radiation in Nuclear Medicine
Kratochvíl, Vojtěch ; Hrnčíř, Evžen (advisor)
Man is exposed to ionizing radiation since time immemorial. secondly World War II, however, exposure to ionizing radiation significantly increased violent development of applications in various fields of human activity. At the same time also increased knowledge of its effects, which subsequently led to the need to effectively protect exposed to the maximum possible degree. This is also true in nuclear medicine. There is already achieved protection against the effects of ionizing radiation relatively high level, yet still evolving. Understanding the nature of general principles and particular action is a matter quite simple, can not do without adequate knowledge of physics, biology, and to a lesser extent in other fields.
