Anemia of critical illness
Mudrochová, Šárka ; Těšínský, Pavel (advisor)
Anaemia critical condition represents a special morbid entity, and is very frequent phenomenon in intensive care units, occurs in a large number of patients and the worse the prognosis. It is defined as anemia resulting in severely acutely ill patients can not be explained by one specific cause and is mainly characterized by inadequate response to endogenous erythropoietin hypoxia and the low levels of hemoglobin. To her, a range of factors and occurs already in the first days of hospitalization. Thanks to its clinical consequences deserves serious attention. Even though it was made by a wide variety of studies, is not yet optimal therapy or prevention are known in detail. The studies often give conflicting results in this area is not easy to navigate. In my work I would like to summarize knowledge about this phenomenon mainly collected from foreign literature and for comparison here I present the results of a study carried out by doc. MD Těšínský et al. the Jimpo II. Department of Internal Medicine FNKV, which focuses on the question blood donations and their impact on the development of anemia of critical conditions. The theme I chosen not only because of his intense interest in internal medicine, but especially because that is very current.

European Union - A Global Actor?
Mizerová, Iva ; Urban, Luděk (advisor) ; Weiss, Tomáš (referee)
European Union participates recently in a great number of global affairs and its presence could be felt in many spheres of political and business life. It is thus often referred to as a global actor or global power, and its influence is widely praised. The goal of this paper is to determine, if the European Union in its current state really constitutes a global actor. This fact is examined in theoretical as well as in practical circumstances. This paper further aims to establish, whether this position is constant, or develops in time. As the European Union is neither a state, nor an international organisation, it is firstly set within the framework of the predominant international relations theories. Having taken this enlistment into consideration, it is then established, what kind of unit it actually is in the international system, and if it is hence in fact possible that such an entity could be a global actor. Subsequently, the leading actorness theories are applied to establish what kind of actorness it could perform. In the end of this part, it is assessed what kind of role the European Union actually plays in the theoretical field. Consequently, this allegation is examined in the practical terms. On the basis of facts, examples and actual events, it is thus evaluated, if the practical actions of the...

Josef Macek's point of view on the solution to economic crises in Czechoslovakia in 1930's
Martinec, Zdeněk ; Bažantová, Ilona (advisor) ; Doležalová, Antonie (referee)
This thesis is focused on the solution to economic crises in Czechoslovakia in 1930's projected by Josef Macek. The first part describes process and consequences of the crisis and its influence on Czechoslovakian economy. Concrete arrangements made by government and main attitudes to this problem will be mentioned also in this section. The second part will be devoted to the personality of Josef Macek and his economic theories. The last and largest part deals with proposals of Josef Macek which should help the Czechoslovakian economy in the period of recession and bring the economy back to expansion. Opinions of Josef Macek are taken and analyzed from prime sources of information -- his works, public performances and articles -- written during 1930's. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the opinions of Josef Macek as a opposite to arrangements made by the government.

Application For Task Management Support

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of an application for task management support in a company environment, in a quality assurance department. The goal of the thesis is to analyze and develop an object oriented design of the application with flexibility and options of use in mind together with a relative simple solution. The sense of aim is to prepare for a fluent and smooth implementation and to put in operation successfully. The development is being led on an agile basis. Basic principles have been taken from OpenUP methodology. The thesis completes the project documentation and brings a very flexible solution of the defined problem, which enables the general conception of the application as a tool for the task management support, not only a tool for the testing support. There are six chapters. The first three chapters introduce the problem definition and its analysis. Chapter 4 deals with the solution design. At the end you can find the summary of the achieved results during the development and project prospect.

Mathematics on the chess board
Šperl, Jiří ; Jančařík, Antonín (advisor) ; Pilous, Derek (referee)
TITTLE: Mathematics on the chessboard AUTHOR: Jiří Šperl DEPARTMENT: The Department of mathematics and the teaching of mathematics SUPERVISOR: RNDr. Antonín Jančařík, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The main subject of my thesis is mathematical problems on the chessboard using chess pieces. The work aims to demonstrate how a secondary school student would approach and solve several typical mathematical tasks of this nature. Consequently, it outlines ways to incorporate chessboard mathematical problems and exercises in mathematical classes. Moreover, the thesis includes a compact collection of solved problems on the chessboard that can serve as an inspiring source of unconventional mathematical tasks in conventional mathematical education. My own mathematical research forms a major part of the thesis. The research was conducted as a series of tests in three school classes. In order to achieve a high de- gree of objectivity classes of students with different specializations were selected to take part in the tests. The participating classes were also of different age groups. The theoretical part of the thesis takes a look at the past of the subject and presents several interesting historical problems concerning the mathematics on the chess- board. Last but not least, the thesis contains a discussion of solutions of the...

Teaching, training and testing applicants for a license from the perspective of examiners
Rada, Josef ; Světlíková, Daniela (advisor) ; Pavla, Pavla (referee)
This thesis finds out current state of preparation and final exams of driving applicants. It is based on the needs of increase competence especially of young drivers. Before obtaining a driving license, every applicant has to go through education and training, which can be in Czech Republic done only by driving schools. When finished education and training the applicants have to pass final exam before driving examiners eyes. The goal of this thesis is suggesting improvements, which would positively influent readiness of beginning drivers. The analysis of the legislation of the European Union and the Czech Republic are defined on the possible changes in the preparation and testing of applicants for a driving licence. uropean Union and Czech Republic. By interviewing professional public came out consequences of previous legislative changes. To get required data a questionnaire was used driving examiners. The driving examiners judge the competence of driving applicants, so they can point out the drawbacks in drivers preparation. This information is taken to meet targets of this thesis. Biggest drawbacks came out in qualification of driving instructors. This thesis suggests improving preparation, continuous educating and regular examining of driving instructors.

Řízení devizové expozice podniku
KRÁSNICKÁ, Martina
The first part of this dissertation, entitled Exchange Rate Exposure Management, addressed the question whether there has been a relationship between changes in exchange rate volatility and financial results of Czech enterprises and therefore foreign exchange exposure management is justified. For this purpose, the empirical data of revenues and exports and imports in CZ-NACE sections were used. Statistically significant results were demonstrated in the Section C - Manufacturing, where it was confirmed that profitability of sales declines with increasing volatility of the exchange rate. The nominal exchange rate CZK/EUR was taken into consideration, while a recent thesis (Klecka, 2016) showed that the use of another type of the exchange rate does not provide a statistically significant difference. In the second part a simple model called Estart was created in order to quantify the maximum impact of unexpected exchange rate changes in the profitability of a company and thus in order to start with the management of the exchange rate exposure. The formula for calculating exchange rate exposure is simple and requires only a few inputs as company total revenues, total expenses, the percentage of revenues in foreign currency and the percentage of expenditure in foreign currency. In order to quantify the maximum impact recommended percentage variations dependent on the time horizon were determined from the historical data of the exchange rate CZK/EUR. The company then receives initial information about the maximum impact of unexpected exchange rate change on their profitability and hence for example the potential maximum amount that makes sense to invest in exchange rate hedging. The model is also suitable for calculating the maximum impact for the specific payables and receivables. The Model Estart is for its simplicity usable particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, which currently begin to address the question of the impact of exchange rate change on their profitability for example because of announcements of Czech National Bank concerning the end of the intervention that has been depreciating domestic currency since 2013 and also the complicated situation in the Eurozone. The next necessary step is to use more sophisticated methods in accordance with the principles of foreign exchange rate exposure management in order to quantify the impact of unexpected changes in the exchange rate on the profitability, respectively on the value of the company, mainly because of the management of the operational exposure, which is crucial and which is not addressed by this simple model.

Durkheim's Sociology as a Political Project
Maršálek, Jan ; Petrusek, Miloslav (advisor) ; Balon, Jan (referee)

Competence of a personnel officer
Krčmářová, Barbora ; Kocianová, Renata (advisor) ; Šerák, Michal (referee)
The competencies of the personnel officer have been researched many times recently. It is rather complicated to establish the competencies of professionals in the area of personnel procedure, it is necessary to consider type and size of the organization, where the l personnel officer acts, the organization's culture, strategy, position of the personnel manager, etc. The authorities and responsibility for decision making, concerning personnel consequences, are more and more deputed to the line executive staff. They have the decisive power during the selective procedure; they are responsible for performance rating and remuneration of the staff, they co-decide the leading of the career, etc. In this way the line executive staffs obtain responsibility not only for vocational activity, but also for the selective procedure. There is a movement from traditional, reactive and administrative role of the HR department to an active counselling role, where the elements of the traditional role of the HR department are deputed to the line managers. All this influences the position of the personnel officer in the company, but his / her competences as well. In a similar way there is a movement of the competencies of the line manager. If we understand the meaning of competencies as knowledge, abilities and skills of...
