Description of the older school age boys dental injuries in České Budějovice region and proposal of the health education materials.

Thesis deals with the problem of the older school age boys dental injuries in České Budějovice region. The injury means: ?sudden damage of the health by effect of external factors which exceed adaptation options of the human body?. In the sphere of dental injuries the children is the most jeopardized group of population. The most often reason for the children injuries is their imperfect stability. In case of older children and young people there are injuries mostly caused by sport. Teoretical part of my thesis is focused on definition of older school age as well as on anatomy and teeth physiology. The part of thesis also is the enumeration of dental injuries and its treatment. I also mention prosthetic dentistry and the influence of accidents on individual physical and mental health. At the end of teoretical part there is mentioned process of the injured examination, posttraumatic dental hygiene and patient nutrition after teeth accident. Research part finds with the help of questionnaire survey the kinds of dental accidents, circumstances of injuries formation and the influence of accidents on individual physical and mental health in specific age category. The questionnaire survey was evaluated and processed in grafical part of thesis. The part of thesis also is health and educational material which helps to rise the quality of dental hygiene and also contributes to the prevention of dental accidents formation of second degree students at primary schools.

Orienteering club support system

Nowadays, an increasing number of processes and life situations is getting IT support. Often the use of the Internet aims to accelerate and simplify existing processes. In addition, there is a big area of social networking that can be complementary. This thesis deals with the possibilities of using web technologies to support the running of a club and its subsequent development. Indeed, the club has the potential to simplify and automate many processes which previously have been carried out by someone in person. It has also a potential to use social networks for its publicity and development. The aim is to first determine what areas of the clubs operations are the most appropriate to be supported by any information system. Another objective is to find out how other clubs already integrate any information systems. The final objective is to design and create a specific application. The first two objectives are addressed through a survey among the leaders of the biggest Czech clubs. Indeed in these clubs, the use of automation and simplification of existing processes could have a great potential. The proposal for a specific application is then based on the previous survey and the field experience of the author. While serving many existing processes in running the club, the proposed application adds many elements of social networking.

Design of Landscape Management of Horní Počernice

This bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the current landscape management in Horní Počernice and the design of ecological measures, which can be used as a basis for comprehensive land changes of Horní Počernice. The theoretical part defines basic terms of landscaping and landscape ecology. The practical part describes the selected area including processing of ecological characteristics. Ecological measures of landscape are designed to improve the quality of life in Horní Počernice. A research was made to investigate the attitude of residents to the scenic countryside in connection with the expansion of buildings at the expense of vegetation. The conclusion contains an evaluation of the research.

The creation of videotutorials for the University of Economics, Prague

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to acquaint readers with new possibilities of teaching by using information technology and its application, when making learning material. The main outputs of this thesis are video tutorials, which serve as an education support for the course 4IT110 Use MS Excel in business practice taught in the University of Economics, Prague. However, it may be useful to other students of different courses. The process of making tutorials is described from the very beginning by specifying methodology, creating model exercises, subsequent testing of tutorials by students and optimisation of videos according to their suggestions and comments.

Specifics of first aid education at primary schools

Title: Specifics of first aid education at primary schools Summary This diploma thesis deals with issues of first aid education at primary schools. Motivation for working on this topic is described in the introductory part. Aims, which were set for this thesis, follow. The theoretical part pays attention firstly to educational documents and programmes which look into teaching and learning first aid at primary schools. It describes theoretical basis for first aid education in detail. This basis includes definition of the term first aid, differences between injuries and illnesses, emergency services, materials used for first aid, types of injuries (illnesses) and first aid related to them, bandage techniques and last but not least prevention. Didactic view of first aid education is a very important chapter of this part. It offers useful advice for creating an effective teaching and learning process both organizationally and methodically. It describes briefly important aspects of teaching and learning process such as aims, motivation, didactic principles, methods and forms of organization. The empirical part follows. Small mammals in diet of barn owl in the Eastern Meditarranean

The extensive material of skeletal remains of mammals from a diet of barn owl in the eastern Mediterranean has been processed and evaluated with different techniques of chorological and morphometric analysis. At least 8400 individuals of 45 species of insectivores, rodents and bats were found in our total collection of samples, which represents a significant portion of fauna of the region. We have evaluated a chorological composition of the taphocoenoses and the interregional differences, manifested primarily by differences in the representation of satellite and accessory elements. We found a highly significant impoverishment of the isolated island taphocenoses (Cyprus, Karpathos, partly on Crete), where Cricetidae, Arvicolidae, C. leucodon etc. are missing. On the other hand the essential part of the dominance structure takes up the Rattus rattus, which acts here as an invasive species, significantly more successful than in the ragged continental contexts. The species diversity of the examined samples is positively correlated with the geographic latitude (taphocenoses of the northern regions are significantly richer) and negatively with the island effect and the degree of aridization. The perspectives of tourism in the Canary Islands (with special focus on Gran Canaria)

The Bachelor´s thesis is aimed at discussing tourism and analyzing diffferent perspectives of developement in the Canary Islands, namely in the island of Gran Canaria. The goal of this thesis will first be to evaluace the current situation of tourism in Gran Canaria. It is necessary to find the various perpectives of developement for this area, while also assessing strategic proposal plans in order to increase the competitive ability. The theorical section of this thesis is focused on tourism determination, and destination of tourism. In addition, the origin and developement of tourism in the Canary Islands is discussed. The practical part of this thesis is focused on tourism in Gran Canaria; the life cycle is applied to the destination of Gran Canaria, and there is a complete description of the attractions and infrastructure of the destination. Additionally, a SWOT analysis will take place analyzing the strengths, weakeness, opportunities and threats of tourism in Gran Canaria. In the final chapter, suggestions and solutions for tourism in Gran Canaria will be made based on strategic plans from the Canary institutions of tourism.

IN QUEST OF FREEDOM. REINALDO ARENAS AND HIS NOVEL THE DOORMAN Abstract The subject of this thesis is to analyse the novel The Doorman (El portero) by Cuban writer Reinaldo Arenas and to situate it in the context of the author's life. This work focuses on the part of life of Arenas which he spent exiled in the United States of America. When writing the novel The Doorman, Arenas draws from his own experiences and observations of phenomena in the North American society. At the same time, in this novel appears the motif of seeking freedom and also the theme of escape from the environment of oppression, which are very characteristic themes of Arenas.
