Design of motorcycle
Čípek, Roman ; Karásek, David (referee) ; Zvonek, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design proposal of the motorcycle. Specifically deals with motorcycle stated for city and its´ wide surroundings. Its´ character most corresponds to group of motorcycles called Naked bikes. As a propulsion system is, unconventionally, chosen the electromotor. This kind of propulsion system currently slowly starts to be connected also with motorcycles. For many people this connection is inconceivable or even unacceptable. Final design proposal respects choosen kind of propulsion system and group of motorcycle and it shows how can be these two elements joined together creating modern, attractive looking motorcycle.

Language and individuality. Some remarks on comparing Wittgenstein with Husserl and Heidegger
Beran, Ondřej ; Peregrin, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kouba, Pavel (referee) ; Glombíček, Petr (referee)
The work compares Wittgenstein with Husserl and Heidegger (or more generally: analytical and continental philosophy), but its character is rather systematic, as it treats the question of the relation among language, intersubjectivity and individuality. Husserl and Wittgensten show that our experience of the world (world as we know it) is always our experience of the world ("the world as it is for us"), that this experience is essentially intersubjective, and that intersubjectivity is essentially linguistic. The shape of the experience of the world is not arbitrary, but it cannot be based "realistically" on the "objective" world, at most it can be founded "from inside", pragmatically. The primarily pragmatic nature of our experience allows its variation (a plausible form of relativism), and on the other hand it makes it problematic to try to set the purpose of the experience beyond its limits (an absolute teleology of history). It is also shown that Husserl's conception, setting the non-linguistic life of the consciousness "before" language and individual subjectivity "before" intersubjectivity, faces certain problems, or that we cannot conceive phenomena of thought (psychic life) and individuality, as we usually understand them, this way. Heidegger agrees with Wittgenstein in the point that language is...

Buenos Aires in the Ernesto Sabato's novel Sobre héroes y tumbas (On heroes and tombs)
Netíková, Kristina ; Vydrová, Hedvika (advisor) ; Housková, Anna (referee)
This thesis gives an topology perspective on the Ernesto Sabato's novel Sobre héroes y tumbas (On heroes and tombs, 1961). It presents Buenos Aires in his singularity, as an staggered city on the shore of the Río de la Plata, with his inhabitants mostly of the immigrant origin, with atmosphere of nostalgia voiced by tango and cosmopolitan spirit of bars and cafés. The attention of the work is focused on spaces, mostly linked by other themes that develops its peculiarity and compile its complex character: e.g. monster and labyrinth, uterus - mother and home, conscious and unconscious of the city, port and south as the spaces of hope.... The epicentre of the story is house of the Olmos family- with the impressive windowed balcony "Mirador" and its occupier Alejandra, respresenting the lost Argentinean heroic "criollo" past. This past disappears as well as old Buenos Aires, imagined and loved by Sabato and Borges, his genuine bard and one of the Sabato's novel heroes . Sabato's conception of the city is explicitly negative - as the place of the evil and his realization. He adverts to desperation, isolation and imposibility of communication among the people of Buenos Aires, this New Babilonia, but in fact of every Babylonian citiy in the world. Offers an intercepiton of concomitant circumstanes of the spread of...

Selection of suitable fluid flow directions in laminar flow tubular cooler
Krobot, David ; Kohoutek, Josef (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master’s thesis is devoted to problematic of selection of suitable flow directions in double pipe heat exchanger. First chapter is oriented to the construction of tube heat exchangers. It is also discussed impact of construction solution to the flow character and changing of his process parameters. The difference between parallel and countercurrent flow is also occurred in this parts. The next chapter is focused to the basics of heat-hydraulic calculations of heat exchanger. This also means explanation of ways of heat transfer and heat exchanger function. There are told about specific access to the solving problem of fluid laminar flow. The third chapter is detailed focused to the calculating of heat exchanger. At first is discussed factors, which have impact to the flow character. Next are detailed descriptions of design and controlling calculations, including more alternative ways to solve it. Next chapter exploit those results for deciding, which flow arrangement will be better for given case. Last chapter contain realization and reformulating of process heat exchanger calculating to the program code in Maple. There is also description of used algorithms and operating with them, so any user could be able to work with it. In this master’s thesis are used many examples from attached programs on different parts.

Integration of Chechen asylum seekers into the Czech society
Buchlovská, Michaela ; Buriánek, Jiří (referee) ; Suša, Oleg (advisor)
The aim of my master thesis is to contribute to the study of integration strategies of chechen comunity in Czech republic. This qualitative study attempts to grasp the complexity of integration process and to depict it from the perspective of migrants. It explores motives and strategies of integration of the chechen asylum seekers living in the locality of Praha, Brno and Kutna Hora, who have been coming to the Czech Republic since the end of the nineties of the twentieth century. I put my analysis into a larger conceptual framework drawing on various migration studies as well as relevant theories from the field of integration, migration and migration policies. The analysis of integration strategies of the Chechens is set in the context of their lives, networks of social relations in which they participate and institutional framework of the Czech integration policy. The motives and strategies of migration of the Chechens in each phase of the migration process - during their decision-making, on travel to the destination countries as well as throughout their integration in Czechia - are identified applying this perspective and the interconnection and alterability of each migration phase are emphasized. Integration strategies of the Chechens are significantly influenced by the character of their motives...

History of the North Czech philharmonic Teplice
Kolařík, Tomáš ; PANOCHA, Jiří (advisor) ; TOMÁŠEK, Jiří (referee)
In his master thesis the author provides a look into the history of The North Czech philharmonic Teplice, the only professional symphonic ensemble in the region of Ústí nad Labem, since 1948 until now. The work is divided into four main chapters. The first one gives an overview about the most significant conductors, which held a position of either a chief-conductor or a deputy. The second, crucial chapter brings an insight to the historical development of the orchestra, its changes and events, from the time of the re-establishment (1948) to the year 2016. In the third chapter, the author mentions the most important information about Ludwig van Beethoven music festival, of which The North Czech philharmonic Teplice is an organizer, and then gives a brief and incomplete list of the festival's seasons. The final chapter marginally sums up the work with the information about a new feature called "orchestra academy", inspired by the main czech orchestras. The thesis is attached with pictures showing the rehearsals and concerts environment in the time course and recent images of the orchestra, which enhance the possible plain and fact-like character of the whole work.

High volume undisturbed soil samples from two mountainous catchments: Infiltration experiments and CT imaging
Sněhota, M. ; Dohnal, M. ; Císlerová, M. ; Tesař, Miroslav
The present contribution introduces approaches and results of the infiltration experiments worked out on two undisturbed soil samples collected in the headwater regions of the mountainous parts of the Czech Republic. The attention was paid especially to identify the flow character and to estimate the hydraulic characteristics of the soil samples using the inverse modelling. These measurements represented a part of the proving test of experiments on the automatic experimental setup developed in the laboratory of the Czech Technical University.

Josef Šír - teacher, writer and painter
Hynková, Lenka ; Koťa, Jaroslav (referee) ; Váňová, Růžena (advisor)
Diploma thesis in the field of history of pedagogy deals with a versatile personality of a Czech teacher, writer and a painter Josef ŠÍR. His, not only professional, life is connected with a few places within the region of the Krkonoše Mountains and nearby Podkrkonoší. Specific character of the locality which can be described as beautiful, but harsh influenced people living there, including Josef ŠÍR, too. All the features mentioned above became the core source of his artistic inspiration. To show ŠÍR's significance, it was inevitable to describe regional situation at the turn of the last century with the focus on depicting very hard conditions of Czech teachers at that time. The life of Josef ŠÍR is given briefly including all the stages from his childhood to his very end. As it was in ŠÍR's life, this work follows the two main streams: his personal opinions and experience from the field of pedagogy as well as his works of literature. Next to this, the thesis also does not forget to provide basic information about marginal fields of his activity and interest, which proves ŠÍR to be a person of complexity and broad view. His conduct was accompanied with strenght of mind and also humanity, which was a basic feature of his character. The thesis, which is taken as a tribute to one of author's predecessors, is...
