This diploma thesis presents a design solution of a total station. The proposal is processed especially with regard to technical, ergonomic and aesthetic requirements. The main inovation of the proposal lies in a complex ergonomic and aesthetic solution that better reflects modern trends in the field of surveying technology. In comparison to current designs of the device, new proposal of the total station perfectly integrates certain parts of the device, such as a control panel. Since it is a relatively small device, it is important to design all details properly, especially the form and arrangement of controls. The thesis also suggests a number of alternative solutions to particular problems. The proposal of a total station is suitable for various types of work and methods of surveying.

Modern Trends in Public Administration Management

The Thesis analyses modern trends in the management of Public Administration in Czech Republic. The reforms and changes in Public Administration are supported by the implementation of management tools and tools focused on quality of Administration. These tools, including elements of corporate governance and some principles of private sector market, aims to improve and make the Public Service more effective. New Public Management (NPM) can be considered as a general name for the tools and for the concept of the Management of Public Administration, in particular meaning the principles of Process Management, the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), Benchmarking, the Common Assessment Framework and other methods and tools based on the models of TQM and EFQM. The practical part of the thesis contains the surveys and evaluation of the efficiency of the above mentioned models by the Regional Authority and selected municipalities, including their strengthts and weaknesses.

The Study of Systém and Process optimization of Service operation

This thesis is oriented on the automotive industry with the focus on the domestic producer of the vehicles – the Škoda Auto Company. It describes the subject of business in the mentioned company and subsequently it refers to the current trends of the automotive market in the Czech Republic. On the basis of the analyses` results of the after-sales services allied with usage of the Škoda-products it will propose their possible future progression. Thereinafter will the thesis concentrate on the description of the existing after-sales processes focused on the „through-pass“ of the vehicle through the authorised Škoda Auto service. It deals with the analysis of the service systems in detail using the tight cohesion of them. Modern technologies used in the current vehicles put significantly higher demands on their maintenance, which call for the continual optimization of the service processes with the maximal utilisation effort of the feedback. The appropriate personnel have become the necessity. For these purposes it will be recommended the introduction of the electronic multipurpose memory devices intended for the data collection. In the next step will the after-sale-service process be described with the focus on the usage of these electronic memory vehicle-keys with the reference to the procedural simplification of the maintenance operations. The final part of the thesis will evaluate the general contribution of the proposed resolution for the service processes as well as their users.

Processing of Uncertain Information in Databases

The following diploma thesis focuses on processing of uncertain information in databases. Uncertain information represents vague customer requests during laptop choice in classic shop purchasing. Effort of the work is to develop a modern e-shop application selling laptops, which is based on expert fuzzy system helping customers to choose a laptop without knowledge of technical specifications and current trends.

The Cruel Sounds

The presented diploma work brings the theory of noise music with the main reason to clarify the pragmatics of its forming and effects. The base of the theory in construct ob the ideas of Antonin Artaud, their reflections and externalizations in the post-structuralist philosophical discourse and intermedial fine arts. Because of the topic, work also observes trends in artictic comunication trough the noise. The aim of work is to formulates the own theory of noise music trough the postulation of cruelty in the artistic speech with emphasis on the explanation of transgresive experience during the noise music performance. The results of the work contributes to the theory of appropriation trough the description of specific medium transmission in the immanent space.

E-learning as a phenomenon of information society

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of e-learning and its importance in current information society. Using information and communication technologies in everyday life was the main reason to include them in education too. The goal of thesis is complexly define electronic learning as another instrument in education, view on factors which are closely connected with it and recognition of developments and trends which e-learning goes to. Next on the base of accomplished analysis note on positive and negative effects on society and also on importance of individual knowledge and individual's critical thinking. Theoretical framework at first defines the basic terms like data, information, knowledge and education, which are more used in the rest of the work and without their clear definitions is work useless for potential reader. As next deals with both views on information and communication technologies, describes information society and its main characteristics, especially importance of information and its essential role for economy. Following chapter is focused on e-learning as an extensive topic. Defines electronic learning as a complex unit, from historical development to nowadays. Also includes variants of e-learning, persons which are involved in and modern trends as the last like Massive Open On-line Courses or m-learning. Key part of the work is analysis applied on electronic learning and presented in SWOT form, where are described identified particular factors. With summary of analysis deals next chapter. There are chosen factors discussed in common with available statistics from Czech Statistical Office and on this continues last part, which is focused on positive and negative effects on society. Recommendations resulting from the work are listed in the end of the thesis.

Modern Trends in BI and their use in practice

The thesis is focused on several specific areas. The first area is the identification of trends in the field of Business Intelligence in recent years. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on implementation these trends into practice. The main purpose is to show the possible use of the Business Intelligence in the nontraditional sectors on the real-world examples . What is also important, is a section dedicated to case studies, because it shows use of Business Intelligence in the real-world companies and institutions. The work is divided into several parts in which are desribed components of Business Intelligence, new trends in the field of BI, future of BI, putting into practice, suggestion for different types of enteprises and case studies from real-world praction. The main purpose of the thesis is to serve as a guide to the world of BI and its uses in the practice.

Football and social modernization

This work is dedicated to the transformation of football (soccer) in the process of social modemization and partially to influences of football on modemization. The goal of this work is comprehension of basic dynamics of modem football which assumes combination of theoretical and historical approach. The core ofthe analysis (exploiting plurality oftheoretical aproaches) is aimed at situation in Europe (and particularly in England) which was crucial for general development. However, non-European regions are not neglected. Af first is the work focused on characterization of premodem team ball games from which later resulted modem football. Analytical framework comprises relation of football to the four modemization trends and its selected displays: rationalization of society ( creation of the formal rul es, institutionalization of football and development of tactic ), the market generalization and expansion of economic system (commercialization of football (including mass mediums ), professionalization of players and particularities of football in state socialist countries ), transformations of social bonds, identity and increase of nation states (nationalism and clubism) and displays of selected social inequalities in football and efforts to its change ( class inequalities, global inequalities and gendered...
