Creation and validation of chemistry worksheets for lower grades students of grammar school

Inclusion of learning exercises intended to acquisition of schoolwork is desirable in majority of science subjects. This diploma thesis deals with creation of chemistry worksheets for 8th and 9th grade pupils of secondary school and forpupils of corresponding grades of lower grammar schools. Research of contemporary literature mostly chosen workbooks and worksheets available on the Internet isincluded in the thesis. The main part of the thesis was creation of worksheets on diferent themes in chemisty education according to RVP ZV. Created worksheets were verified and evaluated at schools. The thesis brings new possibilities how to deal with teaching some of the chemistry topics using pre-prepared worksheets, which contain mostly exercises for acquiring new schoolwork.
Why do primary school children choose multi-year gymnasiums?

The Czech educational system offers primary school children the possibility to proceed in the lower-secondary education at a multi-year gymnasium. This bachelor's thesis examines the students' change from a basic school to a multi-year gymnasium and explains the real reasons, why children choose this school type. The theoretical part provides the basic history of the Czech educational system, especially gymnasiums, and familiarizes the reader with research and facts about tracking and ability grouping. In the empirical part, the thesis describes methodological aspects of qualitative research. It analyses reasons why children choose an eight-year gymnasium, what is expected from future studies and what experience these eleven years old children have.
First to the eighth grade grammar school and its layout in the education system of Ústecký region

The object of this thesis is a thorough insight into issues of six(eight)- year Grammar schools, its brief history and legislative framework they exist in. The main goal of this dissertation is a particular quantitative expression of a rate of representation of six(eight)-year Grammar schools in educational system of Ustecky region and its comparison with the basic strategic documents of the Czech and regional education. The thesis also compares the situation in the whole Czech Republic with other regions. On the basis of this comparison the author of the thesis attempts to determine if the strategy of Ustecky region education corresponds with conceptual intentions of the government and the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic. The primary method is a collection of data from conceptual documents as well as annual reports of the schools in order to make the quantitative conclusion as precise as possible. The goal of this thesis in its practical part is to find out the opinions of headmasters of particular primary and secondary schools of Ustecky region about the above mentioned problems from both qualitative and quantitative point of view through the means of a questionnaire. TITLE: Place six-and eight-year grammar schools in the Czech education system AUTHOR: Richard Šťastný DEPARTMENT: Department in English language SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Václav Trojan Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This bachelor's thesis deals with the problematic of reopening six-and eight-year grammar schools. Since the reopening in 1990 their existence have been criticised for not being justified. In this thesis the arguments are given for and also against their preservation. The theme of these schools is introduced in the theoretical part of the thesis. The historical context and the position of these schools in the modern school system are presented and questioned. The empiric part is a quantitative research in which opinions of various experts in this field were compared. The main aim of the research was to find out how the actual work position of interested subjects influences their attitudes towards the existence of these grammar schools. Primary school management in the transition to grammar school dabing the 5th and 7 th grades

In the introductory part of the final bachelor thesis the theoretical basis are described. These are the ones that school management can rely on when influencing the decision-making process of pupils and their legal representatives whether to change to grammar school or whether pupil's education will remain at the existing primary school. The practical part of the paper deals with finding motifs when leaving to grammar schools is considered, in other words, reasons why pupils remain at primary schools. Moreover, it provides recommendations for school management to influence these decisions.

Comparison of content knowledge in geology among students of junior secondary grammar schools and 2. level primary schools in České Budějovice. Bachelor thesis. The author deals with evaluating of the level of knowledge of inanimate nature with pupils of 9th grades primary school; and quarts of secondary grammar schools in selected schools in České Budějovice. The level of authentication is carried out by using a didactic test. Before the actual % criti.:ation apretesthas been conducted, which tested a smaller sample of respondents. Based on the pre-test results, questions of the research test, which have been subsequently used in schools for the purpose of research, were modified. The work aims at su1% eving the actual content knowledge of pupils at both types of educational institutions and point; out areas in geology with which students may have difficulty. This Bachelor thesis was created under a project GA JU 065/2010/s.
The proposal of geological-biological teaching path around Mařský vrch near Vimperk

The main aim of this thesis was to create a teaching path around Mařský vrch, which could serve as a supplement to teaching biology especially for primary schools and grammar schools (children of age 11 to 15). In this thesis, I focused on the processing characteristics of the area, didactical recommendation and the proposal of the path with various stops. Eleven stops were designed. Description and educational use for specific subjects, questions and challenges, or educational games to each of the stops were processed. Worksheets were created for some stops. Documentary photographs were made for all of the stops.
