Effect of muscle hypertrophy training with split systems at intermediate and advanced clients in the fitness center
Kadlec, Marek ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Panáčková, Michaela (referee)
Title: Effect of muscle hypertrophy training with split systems at intermediate and advanced clients in the fitness center Objectives: Based on the literature analysis we establish the principles of training for muscle hypertrophy affecting fitness centers for clients aged 18 - 50 years Methods: In our thesis we used a method of literature search. We will critically analyze available literature and make specific design methods that lead to effecting muscle hypertrophy for intermediate and advanced clients in a fitness centre. Results: Principles of design an individual program for intermediate and advanced clients in the fitness Keywords: Strenght training, muscle hypertrophy, training split, a muscle
Porcelain disease in crayfish: biology, impacts and distribution
Jelínková, Tereza ; Balcarová, Eva (advisor) ; Vávra, Jiří (referee)
The porcelain disease is a disease affecting crayfish caused by the microsporidium Thelohania contejeani. This intracellular parasite attacks muscle cells of the host and fills them with spores. This leads to white or opaque colouration of the abdominal muscle of crayfish, which is characteristic for this disease. The parasite gradually attacks more muscle fibers which probably leads to decrease of locomotor activity of affected crayfish and finally may result in their death. T. contejeani at low prevalences does not represent a real danger to crayfish populations and thus it is not as serious threat as crayfish plague. However, it has been associated with several cases of mass mortalities too. This thesis summarizes essential findings about infection by this parasite, analyzes its impacts to the host and factors that can influence transmission and progress of this disease. It also describes a life cycle of T. contejeani, summarizes records of the occurrence of this parasite and evaluates risks which it poses to crayfish populations. Finally, methods used to detect infection are described. Keywords: Thelohania contejeani, porcelain disease, crayfish, microsporidia, parasite, muscle
Effect of botulinum toxin use in muscle spasticity
Tintěrová, Alena ; Kraus, Josef (advisor) ; Smékal, David (referee)
This study has brought an overview of botulinum toxin and its influence on the human muscles, especially on spastic muscles. In the practical part is resumed experience with botulinum toxin A therapy in children with cerebral palsy. There were observed two groups. Group A (n=9) was measured before and after therapy. Patients in group B (n=24) filled out a table of the global spasticity scale, which they returned by mail. All the patients improved after the treatment. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Speed and quality of muscle contraction in acrobatic rock and roll dancers
Palivcová, Nikola ; Kolbová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Černá, Jana (referee)
Title: Speed and Quality of Muscle Contraction of Acrobatic Rock and Roll Dancers Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to diagnose the speed and quality of the muscular contraction of the lower limbs in acrobatic Rock and Roll dancers based on measurements on the tensiomyofraph. A partial goal is to describe the method and course of measurement, including the interpretation of results and subsequent training recommendations. The research question is: "How does acrobatic Rock and Roll affect the development of muscle imbalance in the lower limbs in dancers couples?" Methods: The method of qualitative research is used for the work using a case study on five probands. Measurement on the TMG 100 has the task of detecting muscle imbalance caused by training load. Results: Based on the measurements results of the individual report generated by the TMG 100, the results are interpreted and the research question is answered: "Acrobatic Rock and Roll causes muscular imbalances in the lower limbs caused by unilateral strain on couple dancers with difference in the gender of the individuals." Keywords: acrobatic Rock and Roll, muscular imbalance, muscle, tensiomyography, TMG
Using a tensimyograph to measure girls in sport aerobics
Knobová, Kateřina ; Kolbová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Šteffl, Michal (referee)
Title: Using a tensimyograph to measure girls in sport aerobics Objectives: The goal of my bachelor thesis is perform a functional muscle diagnosis with a focus on the quadriceps femoral muscle in a team of sport aerobics girls using TMG. Based on a general analysis of the training load, evaluate the effect of the traning on the funcitonal status of the femoral muscle and deduce general training recommendations. Methods: This bachelor thesis is a case study. Research is done qualitatively. mapping a small number of respondents. The actual measurements on the tensiomyograph, the analysis of the results and the recommendations of the measurement were performed on five selected individuals. Results: The task of the thesis is a description of a device called tensiomyograph, about which known documents had to be searched and translated exclusively from abroad. The second task, the output of this work is the results of measuring five respondents from the TMG and the analysis of the two-month competitive season, on the basis of which a recommendation was made leading to the elimination of the imbalances, through strength exercises, resp.stretching exercises. Keywords: Sports aerobics, training load, motion apparatus, tensiomyograph, muscle
Neinvazivní metody v léčbě pohybového aparátu koně
Pražáková, Jana
Title of the bachelor thesis is "Noninvasive methods in the treatment of musculoskeletal system of the horse". It contains the basic information from the field of anatomy and biomechanics of the horse. It describes various treatment methods used in practice. It deals with their possible influence on the horse. Also solves the problems of smuggling and saddle choice, which is often neglected. Shows the effects of the methods and their effects on horses. It includes not only the physical affecting horses, but also influences acting on the psyche of the horses. The whole thesis is focused on selected treatment methods. These methods are considered to be a very important tool of prevention, rehabilitation and also a good way to keep a horse in the best possible condition, health and psychological balance. Prevention is better than a subsequent complicated and expensive treatment. It is therefore necessary for cooperation between vet, a physical therapist and owner of the horse. And then suitably designed combination therapies.
