The implementation of montessori education elements into the education of the children with autism spectrum disorders in the preparatory form of the special elementary school

The goal of the diploma work is to demonstrate the possibilities of montessori education elements implementation into the education of the children with autism spectrum disorders in the preparatory form of the special elementary school. This is performed on the basis of the theoretical knowledge gained by the specific material study and by using the methods of the inspiring practice. The theoretical part has three chapters. It deals with the subject of the persons with mental disorder and is mainly focused on the children with the autism spectrum disorders. It describes the autism spectrum disorders, their etiology, diagnosis and the intervention options for people with the autism spectrum disorders. It is dedicated also to the education of children and pupils with the autism spectrum disorders and the mental disorder within the preparatory form of the special elementary school. It introduces in great detail the montessori pedagogy and its elements. The empirical part states the definition of the research inquiry. Specific of selected approaches in pre-shcool education of children with autism spectrum

The presented masters thesis deals with selected educational approaches that are used in preschool children with autism spectrum disorder. The theoretical part defines the broad concept of autism, the role of preschool education, and describes methods of work with autistic children of the given age. It also explains the basic characteristics of the Son-Rise program, Applied Behavioral Analysis and TEACCH. In the empiric part within the qualitative research survey, the thesis aims to obtain an overview of the views of teachers focused on the advantages and disadvantages of selected methods. The topic of this thesis is "Pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a Mainstream School - Case Study of a Pupil in Elementary School and Secondary School". The first, theoretical, part of the thesis deals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and diagnostics; it will also address current legislative changes of the educational system in the Czech Republic as well as the counseling system, school counseling centers, and school counseling facilities. The second, practical, part will deal with the process of educating pupils with ASD in mainstream elementary schools and secondary schools. The aim of my research was to determine how pupils with ASD were able to integrate into a standard primary school and secondary. I focused on approaches and methods used in the educational process, especially on structured learning, as well as on the teachers' readiness to integrate pupils with special educational needs. Structured Teaching in School Practice and its Use in the Education of Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders

The thesis presents structured teaching and its use in classes where children with autism spectrum disorder are educated. The research focuses on how teachers apply the principles of structured learning in the education of individual pupils. Our intention is to link research to practice. We have chosen a qualitative survey to go into the depth of the chosen issue. We start from analyzes of interviews with pedagogical staff. We want to clarify what are the advantages and disadvantages of this method. We are interested in why pedagogical staff recommend structured learning for children with ASDs to teachers, assistants and parents. Possibilities and options of using MABC2 (Movement Assessment Battery for Children) in the group of preschool kids with autistic spectrum disorders.

The bachelor thesis deals with the diagnosis of children with autistic spectrum disorders (ADS) with motor development delays -using the MABC-2 test method and modifications of the test adapted to the target group - preschool children. The aim of this study was to describe if it is possible to diagnose motor development of preschool Children with autistic spectrum disorders with Movement Assessment Battery For Children - Second Edition. The theoretical part focuses on the characteristics of the autism spectrum disorder and its forms, introduces us to the symptoms pertaining to individual diagnoses and brings us to the awareness of the necessity of structured learning while achieving goals with children with autistic spectrum disorders. Next part included definitions of motor skills and introduction to the development of a preschool child. In the methodological part, research questions are defined together with the aim of this study. The other part of the methodology focuses mainly on the MABC-2 diagnostic tool and the choice of methods used in the practical part. In the research part there are presented individual case studies, description of the testing process and results.
Specifications for Education of Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder

This thesis is called Specifics for Education of Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and the main aim is to characterize specifics for education of students with autism spectrum disorder. For the main aim of this thesis are important three research questions, one main question and two specific questions. These questions should provide answers to what approaches, specifics and tools are used during the education of mentioned students. The thesis itself is split into theoretical and practical part, in additon to this, it contains also Introduction and Conclusion. Both parts contain several chapters and subchapters. The theoretical part contains one chapter split into three subchapters. These subchapters are mostly about defining ''autism spectrum disorder" (ASD), about the system of education of students with ASD and about educational interventions used during education of students with ASD, especially structured teaching, which belongs among main specifics used by given students. In the practical part is described the aim of this thesis and the research questions. Then follows the description of the chosen methods of the research and the collection of the data. Then follows the chapter, which concerns the realization of the research. The next chapter is the chapter called The Results, which contains the case studies. For accomplishing the objective of the research was used the method of participant observation. Thanks to this method were gained findings used later in this thesis. For obtaining the complete case studies, the parents of the observed children and their special pedagogues were interviewed. By using these chosen methods and the case studies, the pedagogical approaches and used tools were characterized. Among the main specifics for the education of students with ASD belong the individual approach with consideration of individual peculiarity of every student.

Graduation thesis deal about education children with autism in social care institutions. First part describes pervasive evolutionary disorders, it's etiology, clinical picture, diagnosis of autism and typical triads of disorder. This thesis also deals with institutions care, it's history and present situation in education care. Final part is research of social care institutions which take care persons with autism. Goal of the research is mapped situation education care for people with autism in social care institutions. Research methods are questionnaire, interview, content analysis. Research is complemented by case studies.
The development of motor skills in children with Autistic spectrum disorders

The main goal of the bachelor thesis "Development of motor skills of children with Autism Spectrum disorders" was to create instructional material and verify its validity in practice. In connection with this objective, research questions were focused on the respondents' physical level and their favourite activities. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, namely the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part has a total of four chapters. The first chapter deals with the definition of Autism Spectrum Disorders. The second and third chapters deal with the definition of motor skills, its divisions and problems associated with movement skills and this diagnosis. The last chapter is about motor skills in the educational process. The practical part defines the main objective and research issues related to the set goal. The research design for this work is a case study where the respondents were selected according to the set criteria. The method of participating observations and interviews was used to collect data. Case study has shown that pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorders have limited motor skills, but it is possible to work on it with an individual approach to improve them slightly or at least maintain them on the same level. In addition, research shows that the popularity of physical activity depends on the interests of the individual. Therefore, child interests have to be taken into account for the right selection of activities.
Applied Structured Teaching And The Creation Of Educational Aids To Teach Pupils With An Autism Spectrum Disorder At A Specialized Nursery School In A Structured Manner

This bachelor thesis deals with the topics of structured teaching, the creation of educational aids to teach pupils with autism spectrum disorder in a structured manner at a specialized nursery school, and monitoring the success rate of the created aids in practice. The objective of this bachelor thesis is to contribute to better and deeper understanding of the importance of structure and structured tasks in the day-to-day education of pupils with autism at a specialized nursery school. This thesis consists of two parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with autism spectrum disorders as well as guiding principles and methods of structured teaching. Furthermore, it deals with different areas of development of children with autism in specialized nursery schools and the optimization of work conditions and environments for such children. The practical part focuses on the creation of aids for structured teaching and applying such aids in practice.
