Homes for the elderly during pandemic covid-19

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of homes for the elderly during the covid-19 pandemic. Specifically, it deals with the period of time from year 2020 untill the first quarter of the year 2022, where in said period the homes for the elderly were forced to adapt to the new situation of the covid-19 pandemic. The thesis aims to map the situation of the homes for the elderly in the covid-19 pandemic, with focus on Czech lands, and then create a strategy for dealing with pandemic inside the homes for the elderly. To achieve this, the author collected information regarding measures existing inside the homes, also focusing on their relevancy and efficiency, then the said information was utilised to evaluate existing measures. From the collection of information author creates a strategy, which could be used to combat future pandemics of either similar or same types and this strategy would then help homes for the elderly to overcome said situations better. To gather all the information needed, author used multiple sources of literature, foreign sources, legislatives, annual reports, and interviews carried out inside the home for the elderly Sue Ryder. The Impact of the State of Emergency on the Assessment of Crimes Abstract The thesis provides an insight into the issue of assessing crimes committed during states of emergency during the pandemic of the covid-19 disease in the years 2020 and 2021. The aim of the thesis was to find out how the state of emergency is reflected in the Criminal Code, to identify the problems caused by the pandemic of the covid-19 disease in this area, and to evaluate the legislation in terms of the identified problems and, if necessary, to put forward de lege ferenda proposals. The Criminal Code provides for a state of emergency in the provisions regulating basic bodies of three crimes, it also includes it among the generally aggravating circumstances and the state of emergency may also play a role in assessing the fulfilment of a circumstance triggering the application of a higher penalty rate for nine crimes. The thesis considers the definition of the above-mentioned circumstance triggering the application of a higher penalty rate for only nine crimes to be unsystematic and therefore proposes examples of other crimes where the circumstance should be included. Safety securing and states of crisis in the constitutional law of the CR

This thesis discusses the issue of securing safety of the state with emphasis on the institute of so called states of crisis in the constitutional law of the Czech Republic. The first part deals with states of crisis in general, outlines the basic theory of states of crisis as institutes of law, historical and international context of regulation, as well as on a generally security oriented context. The second section is dedicated to individual states of crisis, namely the state of danger, state of emergency, state of threat to the state and state of war. The thesis contain the basic description of the state of emergency, its sources of law, the method of its declaration all of the states of crises and discusses institutes common for all, or most of the individual states of crisis. Last section of this thesis focuses on further methods of safety ensuring, in particular with connotation to Article 43 of the Constitution of the Czech Republic. For example the regulation of the dispatch of armed forces beyond the territory of the Czech Republic and the residence of foreign armed forces in the territory of the Czech Republic or the regulation of crossing and flying across the territory of the Czech Republic. Methods of control over states of emergency in the Czech Republic

What are the ways of controlling extraordinary legal states in the legal system of the Czech Republic? Is parliamentary control of states of emergency sufficient and effective? Are states of emergency in the Czech legal order reviewable at the judicial level? What is the meaning and purpose of control over states of emergency? These are the questions that the author of the diploma thesis addresses using the example of a coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and 2021 as a case study. She assumes that states of emergency can be controlled and argues why and to what extent she considers it necessary in the conditions of a democratic state governed by the rule of law, to which the Czech Republic subscribes. In the first part of the thesis, the author defines the concept of a state of emergency as it is understood in theory and presents the individual states of emergency de lege lata. The topic of the thesis is education of children in COVID 19 period from the point of view of Roma mother. In the theoretical part the author presents the history of Roma population in Czech republic and their cultural specifics. Special focus is given to education. Practical part then focuses on analysis of interviews and observations of Roma mothers. Focus will be given to their perception of online education of their children including evaluation of what possible support was offered to them by the state and what obstacles they met in online education.

The diploma thesis evaluates the impact of the crisis caused by covid-19 on construction companies, especially through a questionnaire survey and interviews with representatives of construction companies. The theoretical part of the work, which precedes the questionnaire survey and interviews, describes the construction company and also explains topics such as anti-epidemic restrictions, compensation programs or the state of emergency caused by the covid crisis.

The aim of this treatise is to thoroughly examine the concepts of the state of exception and the right to resistance and their relation and to answer the question of whether the corresponding institutions should be regulated in positive law or otherwise recognized under a Rechtsstaat. In the chapter on the state of exception, I inquire into the concepts of crisis and state of exception, present various typologies of this institution, outline controversies, confusions and problems associated with it, present possible responses of public authorities to exceptional harmful situations and assess their advantages and drawbacks.
