support of independent living as a form of social work field

This diploma thesis was devoted to the topic: Support of independent living as a form of field social work. I focused on the typology of disability, Company DUHA, z.ú. and types of benefits for people with disabilities. I dealt with the differences between independent housing support and sheltered housing and social services for people with disabilities. The main aim of my diploma thesis was to find out, if the clients are satisfied with the service of independent housing support and what are the most benefial aspects of this service. Another goal was to find out how satisfied are the family members of clients using the independent housing support service with this social service. To find out he major goal of the thesis I used the technique of structured interview, which included 8 questions. The thesis is divided into 7 chapters. I consider chapter seven to be the most important, in where I present the results of the survey. It is evident that clients who use the Company DUHA, z.ú and their family members are satisfied with the service.
The EU Common Social Policy and Its Impact on the Czech Republic. Current Trends and Challenges.

The master's thesis deals with the Social Policy of the European Union, its development and current trends. Approaching the process the Social policy at the European level has undergone such directions managed its integration, and what has remained the exclusive competence of the individual Member States. The aim of the paper is a summary of developments up to the present, whether the European Union is to acquire competence in this field, which belonged for a long time largely outside the integration process. The second objective is to analyze whether the European Union sets achievable goals in the field of Social Policy. The analysis is primarily focused on the two most recent strategies, namely the Lisbon Strategy (from 2000 - 2010) and the current strategy Europe 2020 (term 2010 - 2020). These particular cases were selected because European Union has set clear objectives for which it is easy to point out whether they were accomplished or not. The results of the analysis is that the EU has done in the Social Policy field a great achievements, but often sets very ambitious goals, which is not currently able to provide. Family Policy in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic

The Bachelor's thesis is focused on the comparison of family social political tools in the meaning of social benefits and services in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. It is a theoretical paper in which all the analysed data, concerning social benefits and services for families with children, is included. Individual chapters talk about different topics related to family politics. Family is the foundation of society as well as an aspect of different measures for the purpose of support from the state's side. This is the reason why the first chapter is focused on family and its characteristics. The importance of family for individuals as well as for the whole society is proven by its protection on international levels. Supporting healthy and functioning families as well as starting new families are the main goals of family policy. The second chapter is dedicated to the definition and development of family policy. The main part of the Bachelor's thesis focuses on the comparison of social benefits and services in the Czech and Slovak Republic. We mainly talk about subsistence and existential minimum benefits, help benefits in time of material need, state social benefits in the Czech Republic, state social benefits for families with children in the Slovak Republic and sickness insurance benefits. The help and support to physical individuals in unfavourable living situations, besides financial support, is also provided by social services. The last chapter is dedicated to tax support provided to families with children, whose main goal is to increase take-home pay of the families from profit-making activities leading to decrease in the number of applicants for social benefits provided by state as well as the motivation to become included in the job market. The Bachelor's thesis can become an initial source for future analysis in the field of family policy in the Czech and Slovak Republic. It can also serve to better understand the present system of social benefits and services.

Maternity and Parenthood through the view of Labour Law and Social Security Law Abstract This theses deals with the social event of pregnancy, maternity and parenthood in the wider labour and social contexts. The aim of this theses is to analyse the individual stages of the employee's working life based on the birth of the child. Attention is paid to the maternity and parental leave, with particular reference the limited possibilities termination of employment during their drawing. In this context, the different types of financial benefits belonging to parents taking care of children, whose purpose is to compensate for the loss of income or dampening of gainful activities resulting from the necessary personal care of a child. The theses also deals with the interconnection of individual institutes of labour law and social security law in terms of employee's participation in the system of sickness, pension and public health insurance, taking into account the specific conditions of participation of insured persons in these systems while they are taking maternity and parental leave, or receiving sickness insurance or state social support benefits. Quality of housing funded from social benefit in Ústí nad Labem

The thesis is devoted to the conditions and quality of living of people who are dependent on social benefits. Based on the assumption that state expenditures are disproportionately high compared to the real conditions of housing. The price is inadequate and owners make use of helplessness people and the generosity of the state. The survey will take place in several social excluded quarters in Ústí nad Labem. The field will then be collected information such as service in the flat, state of the building, the legal form of contracts, apartment size, number of people in the apartment and the price. The aim is to determine whether the benefits are used adequately and people from vulnerable groups live in a suitable and stable environment.
Comparison of social policy in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic from the point of view of social security

The thesis deals with the issue of social security system in Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, their description, comparison, analysis and evaluation of both systems. It defines basic terms, describes history of the social security system in former federal state and compares particular factors which affects this system. The thesis characterizes in detail the components of the social security system - social insurance, social support and social assistance, what do they contain, which benefits are paid within the systems, what are the claim conditions of particular social benefits and which institutions administrate the particular systems. This thesis contains only theoretical part which I wrote using professional literature, legal regulations and other documents of both states.
IMPACTS OF THE SOCIAL REFORM OF 2011 ON THE FOLLOW-UP DEVELOPMENT OF THE SOCIAL PROTECTION SYSTEM IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

The thesis deals with the 2011 social reform implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic. Initially, the various reform steps are analyzed. Developments in the evolution of change are monitored since their introduction to 2015 and then the financial and social impacts of individual changes are examined. The primary goal of the social reform was to increase the efficiency of the public funds spent on the social benefits system and their overall reduction. The main output of the work is the realization that this goal was not fulfilled, on the contrary there was the depletion of funds in the net amount of CZK 10.77 billion. Research has also shown that individual changes have had a negative impact on the lives of the people concerned. In conclusion, the reform is monitored in the context of the necessity of its implementation and related to the previous large reforms that took place in the Czech Republic.
Options of Preventing and Tackling Social Exclusion in Housing in the Czech Republic

This thesis focuses on describing the setting of the Czech system of prevention and assistance to persons excluded from the standard housing or directly threatened by this exclusion, while attention is paid to social work, social services, social benefits and social housing, which is then given special emphasis. In addition to the general description of these four parts of the system, formal institutions in the form of laws, regulations and conceptions related to them are also described in this thesis. Another objective of this thesis is linked directly to the issue of social housing. The thesis describes the functioning of the social housing sector in the Czech Republic, drawing attention to a problem related to the lack of an institutional framework relating to social housing. The thesis also describes The Conception of Social Housing in the Czech Republic 2015-2025 (Koncepce sociálního bydlení ČR 2015-2025), which primarily defines a system of Czech social housing. In the research part of this thesis was used the case study design, which seeks to map out the possibilities of housing /accommodation for low-income households and households excluded from standard housing and functioning of the system of prevention and tackling social exclusion in housing in practice at the local level, for which a...
