Use of project method in forest kindergartens

The topic of the thesis is the question of the project method. The aim of the thesis is to describe the potential of the project method and to research the use in pedagogical practise in forest kindergartens. The theoretical part defines the term project, presents the historical and theoretical contexts associated with the creation of the project method, and presents practical procedures for creating projects. The next part of the thesis describes the model of cooperative learning and provides information related to the application of cooperative teaching in pedagogical practice. The thesis describes the concept of forest kindergartens, where the research was carried out. A mixed approach was applied in the practical part. The results of the quantitative research, carried out by a questionnaire survey among teachers, showed that teachers in forest kindegartens include the project method in a targeted manner. They see the main benefits in the overall development of the child's personality. The barriers are time management, team cooperation, and lack of skills in cooperative teaching. Application of the project method in teaching civic education at the second stage of elementary school

The topic of the diploma thesis is the application of the project method in teaching civic education at the second stage of elementary school. The diploma thesis is divided into two main parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part will be devoted mainly to knowledge about the project method, which has been very popular and positively evaluated lately. The theoretical part is followed by the practical part, in which five projects are proposed that could be implemented in civics lessons. The aim of this diploma thesis is to show the implementation of the project method in the teaching of civic education at the second stage of elementary schools on individual proposals of teaching units and thus inspire civics teachers to do similar projects.
Our own state - an educational project for the lower secondary education

This diploma thesis focuses on the project-based learning as a complex teaching method and its possible application in lower-secondary school education. The aim of this thesis is to create an educational project focused on a chosen theme from the field of "Human and Society" and its verification in practice. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and analytical. Theoretical part interprets information about contemporary expert views on the project-based learning considering its possible application within the educational field "Human and Society", particularly in the field of Civics. The theoretical part deals with these chapters - the history of the project-based learning, what is a project, what is the project method, what is the project-based learning and the use of the project method in civic education. The analytical parts deals with a complex educational project applicable in lower-secondary school education which concentrates on selected themes from these educational units: "Human, state and economy", "Human, state and legal system" and "International relations, global world". The project was applicated at lower secondary school and it is evaluated in accordance with methodological principles of action research.
Differentiated teaching in foreign language lessons

The aim of the Diploma thesis is to examine the concept of differentiated instruction. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part offers a closer look at the theoretical aspects related to differentiation. The attention is paid especially to general principles, process of learning, the role of the teacher, cooperative education, advantages and disadvantages of differentiation, evaluation and preparation of students and parents for the system of differentiated class. The second part focuses on the implementation of differentiating strategies into second language teaching. Based on the theoretical learning from the first part, several activities which can be used in a Spanish high school class are proposed. The thesis includes a research carried out through a questionnaire which aims to map the teacher's knowledge of differentiated instruction and its usage at Czech high schools.
Using projects in teaching English.

This thesis focuses on the project method of primary school in lessons of English. I concerned myself with the development and the basic terms of the project method in the theoretical part of this work. I described pros and cons of this kind of teaching. I compared goals of the project method with the general goals of Czech public education which are enumerated in the new curriculum for primary teaching. I focused also on how the project method is used in present English textbooks at primary school. In the practical section of this work I created my own project and used it in the classroom. I came to the conclusion that the project method has great motivational power, develops creativity, cooperation and the ability of pupils to use their knowledge and experience in their practical life.
Craft in Pre-school Education

The diploma thesis on the topic Role of crafts in pre-primary education is focused mainly on the examination of two approaches to handcraft activities in kindergartens - polytechnic education and the craft concept of working with materials. The aim od the theoretical part is to present the role of craft activities in pre-primary education through individual chapters that are related to research. The craft concept of working with material is described here as a holistic craft process that is neither strictly technological nor purely artistic, and we should therefore perceive it as an area in which these fields intertwine. The practical part is focused on the research itself. It presents the aims of the thesis, research questions and research methods. The thesis has two main goals: to analyze the examined documents and find in them the differences in the values represented by them and the goals of the given approaches; implement a project in a kindergarten, which will be further described and reflected on by the method of reflective practice. The work examines the impact of the transformation of the Czech education system after 1989 in the field of changed approach and understanding in the area of teaching and in the concept of education. This diploma work Addicted Substances - project for the lower secondary school is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The aim of this work is giving information about addicted drugs and method of teaching by form of projects, proposing and realization of project with this topic, which could be used for other teachers. Theoretical part is intent on summary of question of addicted substances, where the terms addicted substances, abuse of addicted drugs - its symptoms or risks, causes of drugs addiction and some terms, what are connected with this question (e.g. habit, tolerance, addiction, syndrome of abstinence), are clarified. In this work, there are also mentioned division of these substances in more points of views, character of chosen addicted substances, where is described basic division according to availability - legal and illegal drugs.
