Pilgriming, wandering and hiking (culturological comparative approach)

This core work is a mutual comparison approach, which relates to the internal character and motives of the three specific forms of travel: pilgrimage, wandering and hiking. They are presented in chronological order, with an emphasis on comparison, resources, development and continuity of individual approaches. Regarded as the basic motive of these three ways which one sets out of the home; the author considers the human need for change, a desire for knowledge and an escape from everyday life, which are presented in more detail. In addition, being discussed is the concept of looking at these forms of travel as a kind of ritual transition when a person away from their normal environment becomes an individual that is on the border, detached from his past and his future already changed thanks to the newly acquired experiences and expertise - a man who returns is never the same. Pilgrimage, wandering and hiking are presented as activities in which by their own way often enable an individual to abandon everyday life. The level and manner of this work are expressed via a culturally and historical contingent and subject to further transformation. The bachelor's thesis deals with travel records of the priest Matthias Stanislaus Heitzmann from Polná, which he wrote up after his pilgrim's journey to Rome in 1659. These notes form part of a manuscript deposited in the State District Archive in Jihlava in the collection of the Dean's Office Polná. The notes are written predominantly in Latin, but partly also in German and Italian. They include descriptions of sacral buildings, enumerations of holy remains deposited there and descriptions of miraculous effects of various preparations and miraculous crosses. A significant part of the notes are moral stories that the author heard during his pilgrimage. The objective of the thesis is to comment on the entire text, to evaluate it as a historical source and to analyze a relationship between the author and his work.
Journey - Mountain to circumvention

This thesis presents my personal view of the art and the world around us. Primary issue is the understanding of life and art as a journey and an infinite search. Based on this perspective, the specific topics like art, forms and means of expression, symbolism, concept of a journey, time and work of different artists are being surveyed both generally and specifically. Through the survey of those topics, connections and coherences are being found. This thesis also consists of an analysis of my own art work (painting) and my didactic praxis together with a subject of didactics. The elements of contemplation penetrate the entire thesis.
Contemporary landscape and the presence of man in it

The theme: \Contemporary landscape and the presence of man in it" is rather wide. The aim of the thesis is to focus on the mutual relation of man and the landscape, namely the symbolic and the manipulative relation of man towards the landscape. In the opening chapter of the theoretical part the term of landscape is de ned. The theme \New perspectives on the approach to the theme of landscape painting" is developed in the chapter about land-art as an artistic movement, comparing the European and American land-art and their di erent approaches to landscape. Further on the thesis follows the transformation of the landscape of pesky st redoho r and the re ection of it in the works of visual artists. The following chapters deal with the relation of man to urban landscape, to open landscape and to derelict landscape. The subject of the practical part of the diploma thesis is a photo documentation of an art installation in derelict urban area of Karl n. The theme is applied in teaching process by presenting artistic sets. During its creation the relation of art education and environmental education was considered.
Traditions and religious holidays in relation to tourism (focused on Spain)

This bachelor thesis is focused on how traditions and religious holidays influence tourism in some regions. It defines tourism in general, while additionally focusing on Spain specifically. The thesis also analyses the development of incoming and domestic tourism in the region so far. It also analyzes the number of visits to some given cities during these festivals (both traditional and religious) and examines if there is any potential relationship between them. Lastly, it evaluates the importance, attractiveness, and potential of these celebrations and ceremonies for tourism.
Religious tourism in European Union focusing on Slovakia

Bachelor thesis presents and generalizes theoretical and practical knowledge of religious tourism. The theoretical part of the work brings knowledge of religious tourism in the European Union and on the position of the religious tourism in tourism in Slovakia. In the next section presents the most important places of pilgrimage of the western, central and eastern Slovakia. The practical part of the thesis presents results of a suvey based on the questionnaire, I examine the awareness, interest and experience to the general public on this issue.
The Way of St. James in Czech Republic

The thesis deals with analysis of parts of The Way of St. James which lead through Czech Republic. It analyses the present conditions of this pilgrim routes in our country, how they are used by pilgrims and how they are promoted, and compares discovered facts to the more famous routes of St. James in Europe. It also deals with possible development and future of pilgrim routes in our country and their mutual connection.
