Teenage girls as a specific user group in libraries

Master thesis called "Teenage Girls as a Specific User Group in Libraries" is focusing on users of a library between the ages of 12 - 19 years and on the design of library space for this age group. The theoretical part of the thesis aims to provide the everyday library practice with the basis for creating space for teens, including marketing, staff, services and collections. The theoretical part also focuses on the physiological, psychological, emotional and sociological characteristics of teenage girls. The situation in the Czech Republic is also introduced. With regard to the fact, that the library services and spaces for the teenagers in the Czech Republic are at their very beginnings, the examples from abroad, Germany in particular, are introduced. The practical part is realized by means of a questionnaire survey and interviews. The practical part focuses on existing and potential users of the Municipal Library in Prague, where the new space for teens should be established in a near future. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The fourth industrial revolution is a possibility for humanity to improve the quality of goods and services, possibility to treat ecology and sociology better. But at the same time, it is a range of potential dangers and changeable relations between people. As employees are the crucial factor for realization of business’s inputs, it is very important to see how human resource management changes with time and which skills and qualities can be useful for obtaining desired level of performance. Modern businesses can’t miss digitalization and digital tools since they potentially should make hiring more efficient and cost-effective. The issue of the thesis is to introduce the concept of digitalization, show its effect on the recruitment process and its results during past years, suggest ways for adjustment of this process in conditions of further development.
Motivation and Remuneration of Workers in a Selected Company

This diploma thesis is focused on this topic in the engineering company. The teoretical part of thesis contain literature review, which is neccesary for treatment analytion part od thesis. In the next part is introducion of company and described their procedures, metods for remuneration and motivation. The thesis have own questionnaire survey to analyze the current situation in the company from the perspective of employees, reward system, motivation, education or conditions in a workplace. Then it subseyuentely suggests possible steps included bigger welfare of workers, better reward system and higher motivations of workers.
Shopping atmosphere in the selected retail unit

The main objective of my diploma thesis was to conduct an analysis of the shopping atmosphere at a selected retail unit from the perspective of Czech consumers, and the development of recommendations for its possible improvement. The main method selected for the analysis and for the actual investigation consisted of a questionnaire survey among customers. The retail unit selected for the research was Electro World České Budějovice. An analysis of the shopping atmosphere of ElectroWorld České Budějovice shows that most customers perceive it positively. This can be confirmed and identified by the fact that customers return to this store and make repeated purchases.
Emergency preparedness of Nemocnice Prachatice a.s.

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the awareness of the staff of the Prachatice Hospital, a. s., about knowledge of recommended method during origins emergencies with particular emphasis on evacuation. The second aim of the bachelor thesis was to consider the current state of preparedness of Prachatice hospital, a.s., on solving origins emergencies with particular emphasis on evacuation. The theoretical part is focused on Hospital Prachatice a.s. Furthermore, the thesis deals with emergencies, which are based on Act No. 239/2000 Coll. about the integrated rescue system and the theme of evacuation, which is based on regulation by the Ministry of the Interior. 380/2002 Coll. to prepare and executing of protection of the population. In the conclusion of the theoretical part are given some examples of evacuation of hospitals in the Czech Republic and abroad. For the practical part of bachelor thesis and the fulfillment of aim no. 1, and a questionnaire was created for the employees of Prachatice Hospital, a.s. (Annex 1). The questions were focused on awareness in topics protection of population, methods of solving emergencies according to Plan of crisis preparedness and knowledge of basic information for possible evacuation. For fulfilment of aim no. 2, was used the interview (Annex 2) with technician of safety and protection of employees at work and fire protection in Hospital Prachatice, a.s. which was focused on emergency planning related to water, electricity, food supplies, pharmaceuticals, diesel, heat, large number of people, active shooter attacks and evacuation. From the results of the questionnaire survey, it is clear that the awareness of staff reaches 62%, that means, the border of 80% determined by hypothesis 1, was not reach and the hypothesis was not confirmed. The interview was reached 78% success rate, therefore the hypotheis 2 was not confirmed. In conclusion of this bachelor thesis is pointed to insufficient level of awareness of staff, especially in the area of protection of population. Preparedness of hospital also shows deficiency in preparedness for emergencies. The results of the bachelor thesis will be used to increase the preparation and training of the staff of Hospital Prachatice, a. s., in terms of emergencies and evacuation.
Communication barriers with personnel in small enterprises

The aim of this Bachelors Thesis is to analyse the working environment of two small food distribution enterprises, which will examine communication skills of personnel with lower and upper secondary education. The research is aimed at both employees and managers to evaluate their points of view on possible ineffective communication at their workplaces. The data will be obtained by observation and two questioning methods, semi-structured interview with management and questionnaire for the subordinates. In conclusion, both environments will be evaluated and optimization of inner communication will be proposed.
Czechoslovak Airlines in the second half of the 20th century

(in English): This paper is devoted to the historical development of the carrier Czechoslovak Airlines (Československé aerolinie). It analyzes the establishment of new flight routes under the influence of the global political constellation at the time. The growth of such a company crucially relies on the ownership of adequate aviation technology - an issue which is also being addressed in this paper. The need for better aviation technology, in particular aircraft as such, brings into stark relief the larger issue of the bipolar division of the world during that period. Sources drawn upon by the author of this paper primarily include material in the ČSA record group of the State Regional Archive in Prague.
Spanish Embassy in Prague under don Baltasar De Zúñiga (1608-1617)

The present work is a contribution to the history of the Early modern diplomacy and early modern diplomatic practics. The subject of this work is the diplomatic misson of Baltasar de Zúñiga at imerial court (1608-1617). The study focuses on description of embassy functioning based on an analyses of official documents produced by the embassy itself, which were in several instances complemented by some of the documents produced by the Spanish governmental bureucracy such as, instructions, credentials, consultas or correspondence addressed to the hands of ambassador Baltasar de Zúñiga. As such, the present study is a kind of introspection, because it shows the functioning of a diplomatic mission from inside. The aim is to aswer the following questions. What part of the day-to-day work of a specific embassy could be seen, and controled by a sending government. How the chosen sources represent the basis of the Spanish policy in the Holy Roman Empire, the instruments used to increase the reputation of the Spanish king and the reputation of the ambassaror himself.
Breeding of a leopard gecko in a kindergarden and it's utilization for awakening and intensifying children's interest in nature

This thesis is focused on the theme of the reciprocal action of animals and pre-school children. It introduces us to the breeding of leopard geckos in kindergartens (with its benefits and disadvantages). Based on case studies, it describes a leopard gecko's influence on preschool children's personalities in kindergarten. The main method of research involves observing individual children as well as a group of children in a one- room kindergarten, Lísteček. Kindergarten Lísteček enrolls children from 3 to 7 years of age, so the composition of children is heterogenic. The maximum capacity of the kindergarten is 28 children and it is part of a primary school. Individual situations and interactions between the children and the geckos wer recorded by videorecording, photogallery and questionare examinations between parents and children conducted by the kindergarten. The children exhibted a natural interest in the exotic animals and the school breeding was evaluated positively. The children's interest in new information was not limited to the school breeding program, they showed interest in the natural world as well. The main topic of this bachelor's thesis is the diary phenomenon, more specifically diary as a form of art or other visual form, such as photography. The purpose of its theoretical part is to briefly describe the general evolution of the traditional diaries and personal journals and subsequently deal with the diary as a specific form of art piece. This part also introduces Czech visual artists who used to work/still work with the diary phenomenon creatively - Vladimír Fuka, Jiří Kolář, Josef Jindřich Šechtl and František Skála. Theoretical part also deals with the new contemporary virtual forms of diaries such as personal websites, blogs and social networking sites, shows some of their specific examples (chosen from unique public social network profiles/accounts as well as from interesting online art projects). and describes generally the brief history of this phenomenon. The practical part of the thesis introduces author's own photographic diary project consisting of everyday photos taken to show personal feelings during her study stay abroad.
