This work focuses on socio-ecological differences among genera of Callitrichidae and its influence on the personality traits of these primates. The main output of this work is a database build upon available literature, showing in which features do the genera differ the most (home range and the number of offsprings per year) and on the other hand what features where common for most genera (way of obtaining food and the size of the litter).
Creativity in visual arts

Motivation seems to be one of the important variables which might have an effect on creativity. It can have a positive but also a negative impact on creativity. In this thesis motivations of fine artists are examined and the extent to which art might effect personality profile of fine artists is considered. In theoretical part, firstly, art, forms of art and the psychology of art are defined. Further artwork as a product of artistic process, structure of personality and specifically the personality of fine artists are described. A complexity of creativity as a phenomenon is presented. Finally motivation from the social psychology of creativity point of view is explained. The aim of this master thesis is to examine certain psychosocial personality traits of fine artists by the Achievement Motivation Inventory LMI and discovered whether there are significant differences in personality traits of fine artists and control group of "non-artists" interested in economy and business (n=63). Our results support the foreign studies results and indicate that artists score significantly higher in Flow, Pride in Productivity and Independence. Analysis of current views of mutism in specialized Czech and foreign literature

This diploma thesis deals with mutism from the perspective of specialized czech and foreign literature. The character of the thesis is theoretical and the thesis is divided into three parts. In the first chapter, there is mutism described based on the study of czech specialized literature as well as etiology, symptoms, diagnostics and treatment. The second chapter describes the same categories but based on the study of foreign literature. The last part is dedicated to the analysis and comparison of acquired knowledge in particular areas. The most signifiant differences can be found in the area of diagnostics and therapy of mutisms, which are more elaborated in foreign literature than in Czech literature. Some differences appear in all other areas of mutism. The learning theory is the characteristic feature of foreign literature in the field of etiology of mutism, also the social enxiety is the characteric feature in the area of symptoms and treatment; overall we can see a dominant influence of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. The Czech literature provides a number of different views not only on the definition of mutism, but also on the etiology and symptomatology. The diagnostics and the therapy of mutism is not further elaborated in the Czech literature.
Interpersonal Check List as a Tool for Assessing Managerial Potential

The aim of this paper is to verify the applicability of Interpersonal Check List for assessing managerial potential, namely leadership potential. The findings of leadership research are summarized and applicability of Interpersonal Check List is theoretically discussed. Available methods for assessing leadership potential are presented, namely personality inventories and Assessment centre methods. Three data sources including 888 respondents in total are used for the analysis. Empirical tests show that employees in leadership positions score higher in several dimensions of Interpersonal Check List, particularly in managerial - autocratic, competitive - exploitive and blunt - aggresive dimensions. The discussion of these findings leads to the conclusion that the mentioned dimensions could be considered as indicators of leadership potential. Personality traits of individuals addicted to psychoactive substances, alcohol and pathological gamblers

anglicky This thesis deals with one of the most important issues of our time. Trying to look for personality structure of individuals dependent on alcohol, psychoactive substances and pathological gamblers. Describes differences in personality structure between the user and the differences between men and women. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the present the accessible knowledge in the field of personality-dependent individuals. The empirical part of the work deals with a research carried out at the pavilions of addictions in a psychiatric hospital Prague Bohnice. In the empirical part of the research hypotheses and set goals that are subsequently evaluated. This thesis provides insight into the personality of addicted individuals and their own research conclusions are largely consistent with findings from the literature.
Psychological Aspects of Artistic Personality

Background: The purpose of the master thesis was to explore connections among artistic cre- ation and some psychological aspects of the personality of artists. Apart from differences in creativity and psychopathology in theoretical part some characteristics of personality through the theories of personality are discussed. A sample of visual art university students and university of economics students (n=49) was tested on method GPOP, which in its core is based on the Jung's theory of psychological types. Conclusions: The results of incident research support the foreign studies results and indicate that artists score higher in "Intuition", "Perceiving" and "Feeling". Other high scores were measured in "Abstraction" and "Imagination" traits. In the last part of the study the obtained results are discussed. Keywords Art, Artists, Personal Traits, Creativity

Animal personality structure in offspring

The aim of this work was to build breeding pairs of Endler's guppy (Poecilia wingei), to determine their characteristic traits ("shy" and "bold"). Then to breed offspring from these pairs, in which the same personality traits were determined using identical procedure. Finally, the composition of personality traits observed in the offspring were evaluated, consequently, compared to their parents, their heritability was calculated. Personality traits were determined using a modified "Open Field" test (test of open environment) combined with the so-called standard emergency test (test for measuring the time required to leave the safe shelter). Based on the measured data individuals were divided into "shy" and "bold". Then they composed "shy", "bold" and combined pairs (a pair of "shy" was composed of two "shy" individuals, a pair of "bold" of two "bold" individuals and a combined pair was composed of one "shy" individual and one "bold " individual). After breeding offspring of these pairs, their personality traits ("shy" and "bold") were determined in a similar way. By evaluating the results, the heritability of these traits was calculated. Moreover, during this experiment, individual preferences and positions in the column of water were also monitored when inserted into an experimental aquarium. I also examined whether it is possible to increase the number of offspring by creating a more active ("bold") pair, a less active ("shy") pair or a combined pair.
Influence of developmental rate on behavioral personality forming

The aim of this thesis was to empirically examine one of the theories regarding the laws of intraspecific variability in animal behavior, which assumes that differences in behavior are directly related to individual differences in the rate of growth. One of our most common rodents, common vole (Microtus arvalis) was chosen as a model species, mainly because lots of previous studies on this species have demonstrated, among other things, presence of consistent differences in behavior.
Personalities in tourism in the Czech republic

The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to specify the criteria on which the expert in tourism is considered to be a Personality in tourism in the Czech Republic. In addition to interpretation of the concept of personality from a scientific point of view, the work also includes a consideration whether and to what extent a personality may affect tourism in the Czech republic. Another part of the work focuses on a specific personality - from the beginning of tourism in the Czech Republic to the present. The foundation-stone of the work is a research on wide range of views - among respondents appear experts in the field, educators, students as well as general public.
