PSUTKOVÁ, Michaela
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of cooperation of department of social and legal protection of children and of the Police of the Czech Republic in the South Bohemian Region. The aim of the thesis is to identify the specifics and extent of cooperation of department of social and legal protection of children and the Police of the Czech Republic in the South Bohemian Region. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, I focus on social and legal protection of children, the characteristics of the Police of the Czech Republic in the area of children and youth, and finally the cooperation of department of social and legal protection of children and of the Police of the Czech Republic, which is crucial given the chosen topic. The practical part focuses on researching the cooperation of department of social and legal protection of children and of the Police of the Czech Republic in the South Bohemian Region. For the purpose of achieving the goal, a qualitative research method of semi-structured interviews was chosen. Two research samples were selected, the first consisting of workers from the department of social and legal protection of children, and the second consisting of members of the Police of the Czech Republic. The data collected was analyzed using open coding and then compared. The research results were organized into areas and then recorded in tables. The research results indicate that the cooperation of department of social and legal protection of children and of the Police of the Czech Republic is specific in itself, as these two components of the state apparatus have their own specific roles, powers, and competences, but they share a common goal - to protect children and ensure their safety and healthy development. These entities cooperate in every event in which a child is involved as a victim, perpetrator, or witness of an offense or crime. The extent of cooperation depends primarily on the approach of individual workers who collaborate with each other.
Cochem practice from the point of view of social work with the family
DUFKOVÁ, Karolína
The bachelor thesis is devoted to the Cochem practice within the framework of social work with families and its use in the South Bohemia Region. Cochem practice is a model that is used in the divorce process. It is designed to return parents to their parental competence by maintaining power over decision making. Most often, the Cochem practice is used by workers at the OSPOD, in non-profit organizations or by judges in court. The aim of this paper is to map the frequency of the use of cochem practice in the South Bohemia region. Furthermore, experiences with cochem practice were identified, along with opinions or barriers encountered in the process. The research was designed using a qualitative approach, which will consist of a survey method, a semi-structured interview technique. The sample was selected through purposive sampling from the staff at the OSPOD in the municipalities with extended jurisdiction. Subsequently, I used snowball sampling technique to obtain communication partners in the non-profit organizations. Results were processed using open coding and then grouped into categories. The results showed that several OSPODs had cochem practices in place with less adaptation to their context and resources. Judges and non-profit organizations work with these OSPODs to complement the model process. A few other OSPODs have elements in place that correspond to cochem practice and try to work with parents in this sense.
