Introducing the area of polygons, particularly by method of releasing parameter in primary schools
Kovář, Luděk ; Kloboučková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Tůmová, Veronika (referee)
This thesis deals with the description of constructive approach to teaching mathematics in the third grade of primary school. Teaching mathematics is focused on geometry, specifically on one way of introducing the area of the scalene triangle which describes the relation between a side and its height and corresponding area. In the thesis I describe six particular lessons, their preparation, process of their realization and my own reflections. In these lessons, I analyse some cognitive phenomena as well as social relationships among pupils. Furthermore, I present a detailed examination of tasks from the final diagnostic test, in which I aim towards proving success of this method of teaching mathematics. After four years, I attempt to verify the permanency of the knowledge pupils gained in these particular lessons. I illustrate this by presenting analysis of additional exercises. The whole experimental process was led within the method of releasing parameter. Individual lessons were in accordance with given stages of this method, as described in specialised literature. I verified that the above mentioned method is applicable in teaching mathematics even in the third grade of the primary school. KEYWORDS teachingstyles, perimeter and area, square grid, polygon, method of releasing parameter
Content based Recommendation from Explicit Ratings
Ferenc, Matej ; Vojtáš, Peter (advisor) ; Peška, Ladislav (referee)
In the thesis we compare several models for prediction of user preferences. The focus is mainly on Content Based models which work with metadata about objects that are recommended. These models are compared with other models which do not use metadata for recommendation. We use three datasets and three metrics to get the results of recommendation. The goal of the thesis is to find out how can the metadata about the users and the objects enhance the standard recommender models. However, the result is that the metadata can enhance recommendation in some cases, but it varies by used metrics and dataset. This enhancement is not significant.
Dadaistic and constructivistic object and its inheritors
Bouchalová, Barbora ; Bláha, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Daniel, Ladislav (referee)
Submitted graduation theses has charakter as a theoretical study, which offers different views of questions of sameness and differences in dadaistic and constructivistic objects and in objects of its inheritors. I have made criterions to observe relation between these objects, criterions are: principle of creation, relation between content, form and matherial. We observe also using movement in object art. We show, that object-art have disturbed the then tradition of plastic art. New approach of matherial, decleration common thing as a part of art open up a lot of questions about function of art. The main aim of these theoretical study was to find out samenesses anddifferences in these objels, show a process of object art.We came to the conslusion that between dadaistic and constructivistic objels are some samenesses (for example discruption of visual art, realiton between system and chance, using movement). Didactical, didactical-visual and visual parts are fasten together with theoretical part. These parts watch on object art in two viewpoint: utilization of common thing as a dadaistic principle, relation between matherial and form as a constructivistic principle
Analysis of Contents of Teaching Maps of Czech Geography Textbooks and School Atlases
Šákrová, Michaela ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Bláha, Jan Daniel (referee)
Analysis of contents of teaching maps of czech geography textbooks and school atlases. Abstract The aim of this thesis is to define the method of calculating the content of maps and apply it to selected teaching maps and atlas maps. The first part tells something about the current state of the issue. Methodology is the second part in which maps are presented and the calculation of content and charge maps. In the chapter results are commented the contents of individual maps and the comparisons and evaluations are made. The finaly methodology can be helpfull for further analysis of maps. Key words: teaching map, school atlas, content
Social media as a tool for promotion of artistic craftsmanship
Kašová, Jana ; Zezulková, Markéta (advisor) ; Wolák, Radim (referee)
The Diploma Theses aims to investigate the role of social media in promotion of particular art-craft workshops. Based on half-structured qualitative interviews we analysed, what is the role of promotion of art-crafts on social media in their competitiveness and long-term sustainability. Also, we focused on how do the owners of art-crafts workshops evaluate the role of social media in promotion of artistic craftsmanship and finally, which particular practices or types of content work the best in their opinions, either isolated or in context of other promotional techniques and channels. The goal of this research was to understand how exactly art-craft workshops use social media to promote themselves. The main social media sites appearing in the research are Facebook and Instagram, but also others. During the research we managed to discover other interesting findings related to the community of followers and their function, or to concepts of WOM and Direct marketing. As well as we managed to cover reactions of the owners of art-craft workshops to recent changes in Facebook's algorithms and its practical impact on them.

Relations among elements of a triangle
Machovcová, Lucie ; Zhouf, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Dvořák, Petr (referee)
This thesis summarizes not only most of the basic components and qualities of a triangle but it also brings pieces of information about triangles which are not usually taught at elementary and high schools. The aim of the thesis is to make readers acquainted with those components and to show differences between them. There are solved constructional and arithmetical problems in the last chapter. These problems utilize relations described in the thesis. The topic of these relations goes beyond mathematical curriculum of high schools. A part of the thesis is made of pictures to imagine better the terms described and the relations of components. All of the pictures are designed in a geometrical program called GeoGebra. Key words: triangle, side, angle, altitude, median, area, perimeter.
