Social work with adolescents addicted to psychoactive substances

The aim of this thesis is to draw attention to the serious problem of drug addiction among adolescents who are abusing addictive substances or marijuana. This increasingly important issue is discussed a lot, but very often neglected by the society. This thesis provides definitions and characteristics of individual drugs and their effects on adolescents. The need for prevention and treatment of adolescent clients is emphasized, alongside with the family support, which is often crucial. In the practical part, the author of the thesis focuses on organizations that are critically important in this field. These organizations focus on prevention, counseling services, social inclusion and treatment facilities (inpatient and outpatient services), etc. Their characteristics and methods of client treatment are described. Furthermore, in this work the author presents a survey that confirms the findings of some detailed quantitative research papers. The main findings are that drug abuse is a major problem of this century and also a burden on society, especially on the adolescents themselves. The solution is very complicated and time consuming, but everyone can contribute by not being indifferent to this problem.

v anglickém jazyce This rigorous thesis deals with the legal regulation of road traffic offences in the Czech Republic. It is a specific criminal activity. The perpetrators are usually persons with a good repute, who live an orderly life and are not inclined to criminal activity. Criminal liability is often incurred by causing a traffic accident with serious consequences. Yet, driving a motor vehicle is an everyday part of life for most of the adult population. This issue can therefore affect any of us. There is no separate title in the Special Part of the Criminal Code which contains specific legislation on road traffic offences. Conduct that undermines road safety is punishable under the general offences, which can be committed in other than road transport-related circumstances. The aim of this thesis is to provide the reader with an analysis of the legal regulation of road traffic offences from the perspective of substantive criminal law, to highlight current practical problems and to offer de lege ferenda considerations on possible solutions to the shortcomings of the current legislation. Background: The use of addictive substances during pregnancy is a serious health and social problem. Pregnancy is, in itself, one of the most important and most critical periods in a woman's life, and addictive substances in this case are significantly complicated. Pregnant drug addicts need complex care, paradoxically, however, they often do not have access or use it to a small extent. Objectives: The aim of this work is to map the health and social care provided to pregnant women using addictive substance. In the Czech Republic programs are being implemented for mothers with children or pregnant women using addictive substance. Programs include individual counseling, psychotherapy, relapse prevention, family and partner therapy, parent groups, mothers and social work. The aim of the thesis is to focus on the health and social care provided to this client. Methods: Research is a series of case studies of clients focusing on personal and social history, on their somatic and psychological condition, retrospective view of the course of pregnancy, care of women during pregnancy. This thesis entitled " Student's awareness of selected village and town elementary schools in the Rakovník district about the risk of using addictive substance - alcohol, tobacco" is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is devoted to the characteristics of addictive substances, their history and describes the manifestations of addiction, treatment of addiction and prevention of addiction. Furthermore, the theoretical part is devoted to the problem of substance use by children and adolescents, the consequences and specifics of substance use in children and adolescents are described. Alcohol and tobacco are discussed in more detail. A chapter is also devoted to prevention. The practical part focuses on the investigation of pupils' awareness of the risks of using addictive substances - alcohol and tobacco - by evaluating a questionnaire survey. The results of the practical part showed that pupils had a fairly good knowledge of legal addictive substances, practically without distinction, whether they were pupils of a village school or an urban school. This thesis, bearing the name "The crime of drunkenness according to § 360 of Act No. 40/2009Coll., Criminal Code" aims to analyse and understand deeper the crime of drunkenness in all its aspects. Initially, it deals with the historical kontext of this crime and the development of its conception through history to this day. The thesis also describes terms of diminished sanity and insanity as well as other terms related to the crime including the institute actio libera in causa in both of its forms. This crime is indeed an atypical one, whilst being one of the methods of dealing with illegal deeds committed by inflicted insanity. Such crime lies in the fact that the offender of an act otherwise criminal (one lacking an important sign of a crime) had, prior to such act, induced himself to a state of insanity by culpable consuming or applicating an addictive substance. Insanity as itself exclude criminal culpability of the offender, however not in cases hen offender self-inducing it by consuming or applicating an addictive substance, which makes the crime of drunkenness unique. OPINIONS OF PUPILS FROM SOCIALLY RISK ENVIRONMENT REGARDING DRUG ADDICTION

Children and young people rank among the most endangered social groups. Not only do they go through an important stage of personality formation which could be influenced by many factors, but this phase of personal development influences, to a certain extent, their future lives and the possibility of a fully-fledged social integration. At this stage, children and young people develop stronger perceptual sensitivity of either positive or negative outer factors. These factors can have a stronger impact on children and young people living in an environment which the majority society perceives not as standard, but as a socially excluded, and hence unwanted, locality. The group of children and young people, especially the ones from socially excluded localities, are very often affected by the use of addictive substances. There is a big risk, that members of the group will become regular users of addicted substances which generate further negative effects. Substance Misuse among Vulnerable Groups of Young People from Institutional Facilities

Issues regarding addictive substance usage are being intensively discussed these days. Significant changes within growing up periods of every individual make them very vulnerable. In this regard, growing up youth is considered as most threatened group. Jeopardy is even higher in the context of institutional rising. Particularly individuals in institutional care belong to most endangered group, with risk of early age habit-forming substance abuse. This dissertation is focused on addictive substance usage as a part of risk-behaviour syndrome while growing up. The aim is to introduce new findings in the framework of addictive substance usage by adolescents with decreed institutional rising and protection.
