Metodika uchovávání předmětů kulturní povahy

Metodika poskytuje doporučení pro správnou praxi dlouhodobého uchovávání předmětů kulturní povahy v paměťových institucích. Předkládá logickou osnovu zohledňující důležité aspekty související s budovami, jejich vnitřním prostředím, bezpečnostními kritérii a možnými riziky, spojenými se způsoby užívání předmětů kulturního dědictví. Metodika si klade za cíl též ozřejmit možnosti vyhodnocování vhodnosti stavebních objektů pro dlouhodobé ukládání předmětů kulturní povahy i ze strany jejich majitelů či provozovatelů tak, aby bylo možné predikovat jejich vliv na uložené fondy a udržitelnost provozu.

Arts and Crafts of Central Asia on the Example of the Náprstek's Museum Colection

The Central-Asian region, in current geo-political signification understood as the territory of five Post-Soviet states: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and partially of Kazakhstan, has went through a very rich and colorful historical development. During this development it has absorbed many different culture impulses and influences that helped the region to develop conditions for the formation of a distinctive artistic expression. To a certain extent, we can observe continuity in the development of traditional arts and crafts professions since early historical times until today. Among the most important craft branches we need to mention textile production, involving carpet weaving, processing of felt, fabrics and embroideries, and also artistic metal processing represented particularly by the jewelry production and last but not least, ceramics production. Arts and crafts have always had a very important position in the history and culture of Central Asia. Craftwork has been a subject of trade for a very long time period here, this fact being enhanced by the geographical position as well, since the region is situated on the route of the famous Silk Road. Museum societies in central-eastern Bohemia and their fates in the 19th and 20th century

This diploma thesis deals with the phenomenon of regional museums in the second half of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century in the area of central-eastern Bohemia. The thesis is divided into three main chapters, first of which offers the overview of the establishment and development of the regional museums. The following one analyses the laws of association and statutes of the particular societies. The last chapter introduces the most important milestones in the history of four museum societies which are: Museum society of Chrudim, Museum of Hlinsko County, Archaeological society Vocel and Archaeological and museum society Včela Čáslavská. Based on the primary sources analysis and comparative method, the author of the thesis tried to focus on the common and different moments in the history and activities of the museum societies mentioned above. Preventive and remedial conservation methodology for the collection specimens falling within palaeontology and mineralogy endangered by sulphide degradation products

The methodology is a complex system of procedures involving experimentally verified as well as modified already known methods, completely novel procedures, and their combinations. Many technologies as well as materials are employed for the first time in this field. Modifications of the existing methods bring either effectivity improvements, invasivity reduction or both. This methodology is the very first to cover all phases of the collection material treatment from acquisition to final storage. The methodology structuring follows logical succession of procedures. The theoretical chapter summarizes grounds of the degradation process, materials endangered with sulphide degradation and products of it. Area maps of types of sulphides labelled by process of origin, and a map of high-risk Czech localities are also involved. This introductory chapter is followed by part devoted to methods of field work and early care, suitable preventative collection care, and procedures of the remedial care. A special remedial care chapter for paper-documentation is also involved. This chapter is followed by instrumental methods useful for detection of degradation products and their influence on specimen condition. A separate part focuses on suitable ways of documentation. The safety-hazards chapter closes the methodology. The methodology is equipped with a list of references and flow diagrams helping the user to find the suitable procedure fast and easily. Memory institutions of South Bohemia, Upper Austria and Lower Bavaria and Czech-German relations in years 19902013

This bachelor thesis deals with memory institutions of South Bohemia, Upper Austria and Lower Bavaria. The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to chart and subsequently compare chosen temporary expositions, which were realised in years 19902013 and with their projects characterized the issue of Czech-German coexistence. The following analysis of the sources and literature will lead to name the key topics of Czech-German relations, which pay attention to the memory institutions. Further it will lead to characterize their changes in the monitored period and also to the evaluation their influence during the construction of the common collective memory.
