Motivation and Satisfaction of Managers in the Selected Company

This master's thesis deals with the satisfaction of managers and the correct grasp of the motivational style by management and society. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part, basic concepts are defined: manager, management, leader, leadership. Next, the types of leadership styles of managers are defined and compared. Subsequently, the concept of need, motive, motivation is explained here and the most basic tools for motivation are presented. The empirical part contains a qualitative research study carried out through semi-structured interviews, the aim of which was to answer the main research questions. At the same time, it was investigated what influences this phenomenon and what type of cooperation or help the respondents would welcome to improve their work performance. The goal of this work is to make a concrete proposal that will lead to an increase in work performance.
Czech sport journalists of generation Y: Career reflection based on job satisfaction and motivation

This diploma thesis deals with the career reflection of Czech sports journalists on the basis of attributes of job satisfaction and motivation. It focuses on Generation Y journalists, whose are described in professional studies as economically active, demanding a higher standard of living, emphasizing personal fulfillment, but also interested in their personal and family life. The aim of this thesis is to describe the generation of sports journalists in terms of their professional satisfaction and motivation. Based on a quantitative questionnaire survey and qualitative research in the form of personal semi-structured interviews and their analysis using the method of interpretative phenomenology, the thesis attempts to describe the most common challenges that journalists belonging to Generation Y face during their careers. These include work-life balance, gender inequality in the workplace, generation conflicts in the work team or insufficient financial remuneration. The sample is made up of men and women who were working in audiovisual, radio and print/online sports media during the interviews.
The importance and possibilities of career guidance

The aim of this diploma thesis entitled "The importance and possibilities of career guidance" was to find out and describe the position of a career adviser and the possibilities and barriers of career guidance. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts, namely: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on three main thematic units. In the first chapter, the concept of career guidance is defined, target groups, forms, diagnosis, limits, possibilities and barriers of career guidance are listed. The second chapter is devoted to a career adviser, code of ethics, competences, specializations, work activities and psychohygiene for career advisers. The third chapter is focused on education of career advisers and their further education. The methodology of the research investigation is described in the practical part. A case study was chosen as the research design. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with three career advisers. Career versus infant care dilemma as seen by working mothers of infants

This bachelor thesis deals with career versus infant care dilemma, as seen by working mothers of infants. Theoretical part summarises the main topics of the work according to the scholarly literature, practical part describes qualitative research. Practical part of this thesis is devoted to qualitative research, the main method of data collection is a semi structured interview. Results are described in five case reports and in the inter-case comparison afterwards. The results show, that significant reason for mother's comeback to work is her need of self-fulfilment and also need of being financially self-sufficient. Results show high ratio of involvement of grandparents in childcare, mainly grandmothers. Mothers describe first days of nonmaternal care as difficult and link it to regrets and doubt about their decision. Mothers talk about a great deal of workload not only at their jobs but also at home, fulfilling the role of the main caretakers.
Grammar school students criteria for university selection

The bachelor thesis investigates the issue of university selection made by Czech secondary grammar school students as well as the area of career counseling as such. The objective is to answer the question: What are the decision-making criteria of secondary grammar school students when choosing a university? The theoretical part explores professional literature focused on career counseling which deals with the choice of future profession and thus also with the university selection. The information related to various tertiary study motives is in compliance with the point of view of experts on individual criteria for university selection provided in the works mentioned in the theoretical part. The final part presents the results of the research aimed on finding the criteria for university selection of the Czech secondary grammar school students in the third year of their studies.
Valets of emperor Rudolf II.

The following diploma work is proposing clarification of the circumstances around rise and growing importance of personal valets of Emperor Rudolf II., using studies of the individual careers of those valets. It studies their connections to powerful magnates and other court courtiers of Rudolf II. in the time before the battle of Bílá Hora. The diploma work takes all those aspects together and puts them into wider context. For this purpose were used examples of the three most well-known persons who served in such a function during the rule of Rudolf II., namely Jeroným Makovský z Makové, Filip Lang z Langenfelsu and Kašpar Rucký z Rudz. Due to the circumstances of their infamous ends we are able to gather enough papers from which to reconstruct and assort their individual biographies. By investigating numerous correspondences, promissory notes, processional acta (witness testimonies), deeds and other official or personal resources stored in the National archive in Prague and in the State archive in Vienna, it became possible to uncover the tangled networks of the valets' power connections and their accrual of wealth; to reveal possible reasons for their fast advancement, (the culmination of which was their acceptance into the knighthood) and also to answer some questions related to the difficulties therein. Part of the diploma work comprises the attached illustrations.
Employment of former fighters on the labor market

Title: Employment of former fighters on the labor market Objectives: The aim of the diploma thesis is to research the employment of former professional fighters instance disciplines onthe labor market and to create recommendations for their employment on the labor market after the end of their sports career. Methods: Primary data collection was needed to fulfill the main objective of the thesis. The research used a quantitative method, specifically a questionnaire survey. An electronic questionnaire, which was distributed among former professional fighters, then provided the obtained data necessary for the subsequent interpretation of the results. In addition, the obtainedresults were enrichedwith a qualitative method,inthe framework of which structured interviews were also conducted with former professional fighters. Results: Employees from the ranks of former fighters are a specific group of employees who often enter the labor market with insufficient experience. The obtained results show that ex-wrestlers are competitive on the labor market compared to other employees due to the distinctive and specific personality traits and competencies acquired within the sports career. Life of a Generation

In my diploma thesis I am based primarily on the current problems that surround us, the texts of rap music, European cinematography and the environment of the Brno "Bronx", in which I have a studio and can authentically observe the ubiquitous problems in the Czech Ghetto. I will be based on my drawings. I have been dealing with this topic for a long time, but now I would like to make a certain overlap and a certain comparison. I will work not only with drawing and painting, but it is also possible that I will also use texts, recordings and videos.
Gender and management

This thesis focuses on gender issues in management. The emphasis is puting on role of gender in management, on differences in harmonization of the working and family life for men and women and with respekt to difficult situations in career building for women, especially in matters of competence for the performance of this office. The thesis further focuses on the issues of equal opportunities for men and women to build their own career, gender inequalities and problems in relationships of families, households and careers. Part of the thesis also describes the public opinions on gender issues in management. The last chapter introduces the issue of managers free time.
