Influence of Tyre Defect on the Driving Dynamics of a Vehicle
Kubík, Adam ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Panáček, Vladimír (advisor)
In this thesis, an effect of a tyre defect on the driving dynamics of a vehicle is dealt with. The first part of the thesis is mainly concerned with the vehicle dynamics, road resistance, adhesion, orientation characteristics of the tyres and slowing down. This chapter is followed by an overview of the manufacturing process and construction of modern passenger car tyres. The practical part is focused on driving tests that are used to demonstrate the influence of tyre defects on handling characteristics of the vehicle. The main focus of this thesis is on directional variation, braking distance, deceleration and lateral acceleration. The very end of the thesis concentrates on tyre defect in higher speeds and its after-effects as well as precautions for mitigation of these after-effects.
Comparison of Vehicle Handling Characteristics
Kalábová, Barbora ; Semela, Marek (referee) ; Vémola, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the car driving characteristics depending on the type of drive wheels. The first chapter defines the basic theoretical cars concept as well as procedures for determining the individual variables needed to identify the driving dynamics of vehicles. The practical part describes the plan and the progress of realized measurements on a selected pattern of vehicles, and the measured values are interpreted. The final part deals with the evaluation of the performed measurements and the data identified within these measurements.
Road Resistances of Vehicles
Prachař, Roman ; Dadák, Leo (referee) ; Rochla, Tomáš (advisor)
his thesis deals with the analysis of particular road resistances that affect the car. It describes their importance and factors that influence their size. This thesis defines steps that determine particular quantities that are necessary to assess road resistances. Describing, it qualifies transfer and sizes of driving force that is needed to overcome total road resistance, measuring methods of road range tests upon appropriation of road resistances and influence of road resistances on economy of traffic. Practical part discusses the plan and course of realized measuring of selected sample of cars. Final part deals with the evaluation of measured values of realized measuring.
Hydrostatic drive of multi-purpose loader DAPPER
Vydra, Tomáš ; Merenda, Lukáš (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of hydrostatic drive for multipurpose loader and tool carrier DAPPER. At the beginning is research of different basic concepts and modern solutions to the problem, aided by a detailed description of competitive machine in the same performance category. Extensive comparison with other producers is included in the annexes to this thesis. Furthermore, a theoretical driving characteristic and its appropriateness is examined further on the basis of two model situations. The calculations of the individual components of the hydraulic circuit precedes drive kinematics analysis of articulated machine frame, on it final conception of hydrostatic drive is chosen. Firstly hydromotors and hydogenerator are chosen on the grounds of calculations then hydraulic hoses, filters and flow divider. Next chapters are aimed to calculations of hydraulic losses and thermal calculation of hydraulic circuit. Final part deals with introduction the final characteristics of drive. The practical parts of the work are assembly drawings with main power components and hydraulic schematic of drive.
Measurement of vehicle aerodynamic characteristics based on driving tests
Horký, Martin ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with appraising aerodynamic characteristics of vehicle based on road testing, specifically on coastdown tests and straight-line tests.
Zeroshifting Transmission Mechanism Design
Mičola, Ivo ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with no delay gear shifting. The first part is devoted to theoretical introduction. The next part describes comprehensive approach to vehicle dynamics, the choice of gear ratios, the use of reverse engineering to model the interior of the gear housing and the actual structural design of the internal components and strength analysis. Moreover, this work should fill the gap in the available literature which is publicly accessible.
Non-synchronous Gearbox Design for Racing Cars
Pokorný, Lukáš ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the design of an appropriate reconstruction of automobile gearboxes for racing cars. It describes the steps necessary to create the final solution. It also describes the work of the ATOS 3D scanner and software Engineer.
The engine unit of a loader
Vaněk, David ; Škopán, Miroslav (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This paper deals with a design of wheel loader’s engine unit and its performance, as well as the choice of suitable unit itself. Theoretical part describes a standard approach used in designing loaders in the performance and weight class according to the parameters listed and also introduces common designs of loader’s individual parts. It gives the reader an overview of various machines currently available on today’s market and their comparison. The second part of the thesis consists of performance design and calculations based on the comparison of performances needed for various working modes of the machine, where the performance are calculated as a sum of partial performances of differents parts of machines. The result of this paper is a choice of motorized unit that suits all the designed and calculated parameters.
Proposal of driveline of prototype for Shell Eco-marathon
Skácelík, Radek ; Klimeš, Lubomír (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
In the bachelor thesis, the drivetrain design of the racing car is solved and described. The competition rules are summarized in the introduction. Then the driving resistances and drivetrain design variants are evaluated, which main objective is to achieve low fuel consumption. The solution is focused on the concept of a planetary gear-shifting hub, in combination with the synchronous belt drive. The Honda GX25 engine with a centrifugal clutch and the driven wheel dimension of 20” is used to drive the design. The design solution is shown at the assembly drawing.
Software for Optimalization of Gear Speed
Pokorný, Pavel ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Rolling vehicle is being influenced both by driver and many other factors of physical nature. These factors affect the whole behavior of the car, its performance, fuel consumption etc. It is very reasonable to cope with these factors then. The main aim during vehicle evolution (both civil and racing ones) is to optimize the influence of all invisible enemies as much as possible. The aim of this work is a description of factors influencing the moving vehicle. Several practical examples are included. The theory of transmissions is fundamental to the programme for creating a saw-diagram and gear speed optimization. Finally a few analysis of the real vehicles and subsequent evaluation will be done. The output of the work is an overview of factors affecting the moving vehicle, the results of performed analysis and programme for optimization of gear speed.
