Creation and Verification of a Set of Open-Air Games for University Students

The work presented in this master's project aims to create and verify a collection of games that can be played in nature by university students. The work uses the methods of content analysis, observation, comparative and synthesis. The analytical part of the work is assembled on the basis of a review of specialist literature on the importance of movement and movement of university students, after which the general significance of games is analysed together with the various ways in which they have been categorized by different authors. There is a description of the significance and the purpose of games played in nature and also the ways in which university students relate to the games. In the systematic review, a collection of games that can be played in nature is elaborated, with a detailed description of each of the games, including any modified versions. A feasibility study was carried out with students in the first year of their studies of Teaching for the 2nd Level of Elementary Schools specializing in physical education at the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia, within the framework of their course in Hiking and Sports in Nature. The second verification group consisted of female students in the first year of their studies of Teaching for the 1st Level of Elemetary Schools at the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia. The verification was carried out with their voluntary participation in Stromovka park. Then, in the systematic part of the work, an evaluation was made of each of the games in the collection, in which just two out of the total of twenty games were judged to be unsuccessful.
Bečovská Botanical Garden as a Space for Education of Nursery Schools Children and Pupils of Elementary Schools

TITLE: The Bečovská Botanical Garden as a Space for Education of Nursery Schools Children and Pupils of Elementary Schools ABSTRACT: The thesis titled The Bečovská Botanical Garden as a Space for Education of Nursery Schools Children and Pupils of Elementary Schools focuses on the use of this place for various forms of teaching and learning. I focused on the opportunity for tours and educational programs for natural history and botany in elementary school and kindergarten in the natural environment of the beautiful West Bohemian town in the restored botanical garden. In this work was carried out a short questionnaire survey amongst teachers who have visited Bečov's botanical garden with their students. Based on the processing of the questionnaire survey, I found out what would be appropriate to add to the educational tutorials and I created a worksheet and suggested activities that could be incorporated into various educational programs. I found out what options to various naturalistic activities the Bečov's botanical garden provides, where the teachers and students who have visited it are from, whether the teachers are satisfied with its teaching programs and whether the visit helped to create or consolidate respect for nature (for plants, animals, forests, lakes, meadow) and understanding the study that...
Use of outdoor activities in extracuricular education in Sedlčany region

Title: Application of Outdoor Activities Program in After-school Childcare Programs in the Region of Sedlcansko Goals: The goal of this thesis is to apply a program of games in nature and verify its popularity in the afterschool programs environment. Methods: The research sample consisted of 121 children and 13 teachers, who participated in the designed program. The program was applied in nine afterschool programs of the Sedlcansko region. We designed questionnaires that were used to determine attractivity and usability of the program. The questionnaires were filled in by the children and the teachers separately. The data obtained from the questionnaires was processed using contingency tables and frequencies. The results were displayed using graphs. Results: We created two versions of a 1.5 hour-long program: for natural and gym environments. Games introduced in the natural environment received an average rating of 1.38 compared to the rating of 1.23 for the gym environment measured on a scale 1 -5, with one being the. The average difficulty rating of all games given by the teachers is 1.78, which is close to level 2 -moerate difficulty. 33.03 % students chose as a best game a game that included the ropes course. Conclusion: A higher attractivity of the program in nature compared to the gym was not...
Adaptation courses in grammar schools in Prague

Title: Adaptation courses in grammar schools in Prague Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to map the situation at grammar schools in Prague considering the organization of adaption courses, their lenght, venue, staffing and program content. Methods: The examined group consisted of 19 grammar schools in Prague. The data collection was done by using electronic correspondence. As a research method was used an electronic questionnaire that contained 13 questions. The data was analyzed and evaluated by basic statistical methods. The graphs were used for interpretstion of data. Results: All of the grammar schools participating in this survey organize ski and adaptation courses. The adaptation courses every schools includes outdoor activities in the nature in their program of courses of adaptation - especially games that focus on getting to know each other. 18 out of 19 grammar schools include games that develop communication skills and 17 grammar schools use games develop trust. 15 grammar schools include hiking and 13 grammar schools include rope obstacles. In every grammar school the staff consists of teachers of the specific class, 2/3 of schools arrange their courses in recreational use recreational centers with camp cabins and 1/3 in boarding houses. The use of games and exercise in nature in athletic training camp and their impact on group dynamics

Title: The use of games and exercise in nature in athletic training camp and their impact on group dynamics. Objectives: The goal of the thesis is to make a research mapping social relationships in a group and their change after passing athletic training camp which includes games and exercise in nature in its programme. Methods: The research was realised by questionnaires- Třídní kompas method and sociometric questions. The questionnaires were followed by semi structured interviews with selected respondents. The results were presented by sociograms, sociometric matrices and indexes. Results: When we compared the results of the pre-test and post-test, we found out that games in nature have positive impal on group dynamics. We can see from sociograms and sociometric matrices, that the number of choices increased and there were more frequent relations among individuals. Children perceive the benefits of the games in terms of closer acquaintance, take it as entertainment but also as a form of education.
