Code Ownership Research in Large Organization

This master's thesis is about code ownership in software projects and creating a tool that would improve cooperation by identifying code owners. The theoretical foundation for code ownership starts from Extreme Programming, explaining models of code ownership and the impact of code ownership on cooperation among teams and team members. The concept is demonstrated on a concrete software firm, where a potential for improvement is identified. The potential is exploited by a software tool, which is designed in the this thesis. The tool is capable of identifying code owners and experts for specific areas in the code based on data gathered from a version control system. The resulting information is made easily accessible. The tool is used to conduct a code ownership research in several projects, which allows me to confirm accuracy of the results. Usability and benefits of the tool is discussed in the final chapter.

Evolution of information warfare expert environment in Czechia

As the tensions between Russia and the West had grown, so had the intensity of hybrid warfare operations, such as Russian disinformation campaigns. These campaigns have contributed to the current polarization of societies not only in the USA, but also in many EU countries and have prompted Western societies to seek appropriate ways to defend themselves against information warfare. Over the last decade, a colourful community of experts developed, empowered to identify specific threats and propose solutions. This study explores how the growing securitization of disinformation affects the development of security expertise in Czechia. Sociological methods, social network analysis, and social capital were applied to uncover and analyze a network of security experts focused on information warfare. SNA allowed mapping both networks of crucial organizers and experts, their social relations, and professional backgrounds. The analyses showed ongoing dynamic development of the network characterized by growing complexity and fragmentation. However, the network is united in its stance on opposing pro-Russian influences. The Expertise of Political Parties on the Example of Presidental Elections in the Czech Republic

The Diploma Thesis is based on the Case study of the direct election of the President of the Czech Republic. Due to this Case study it examines expertise of the Czech political parties. Is there any expertise in political parties represented in the Parliament of the Czech Republic? Why analytical capacities have (or not have) influence on policy decisions? In theoretical concept including democracy, policy work, expert capacities, elections etc. the Thesis examines the relationship between the expertise of political parties and enactment of the direct presidential elections.

Czech political parties and their policy-related expertise in field of eGovernment

E-government belongs to one of the fastest evolving part of public administration in the whole world. Political parties should have enough quantity of information and materials to make E-government enough efective and friendly for end users - citizens. These kind of informations parties have from expert committees, which are representing policy-related expertise. This paper is focused on czech political parties and their policy-related expertise in field of eGovernment. The paper is based on case study, which explore five political parties: ČSSD, KDU-ČSL, KSČM, ODS and TOP 09. The paper describes creation of expert committees, who are the members of committees, what kind of information they work with and how are the outputs of their work used.

Expert knowledge of polical parties in field of education policy

Political parties are no more simply mediators between the civic society and state. It is also expected, that they are capable to product such solutions, that are based on expert knowledge and could be applied responsibly. The educational policy is one of the traditional parts of public policy, which requires complex and long-term solutions. The sources of expertise of political parties play a key role in form of knowledge and information required for such responsible decisions. Many remits same as financing of primary and secondary education were delegated from state control to regional administration due to administrational reform. The increase of power assumes expansion of expertise of political parties on regional level. The paper is focused on sources of expert knowledge of political parties (ČSSD, KSČM, TOP 09) in Prague. It describes mechanisms of generating expert knowledge for educational policy, mostly the character and nature of work of regional expert commissions. Who are the members of these commissions? What is their source of being experts? What kinds of information they work with? How is their work applied in a practice? These are the main questions of this study.

Political party manifesto is one of the most significant ways of communication between a party and the citizens. In these documents, the parties present their values and ideological background as well as their priorities in current political issues. This master thesis deals with the topic of Civic Democratic Party and comparasion of its manifestos. Civic Democratic Party has been established in 1991. former Czechoslovakia. Until 2017 there has been created almost 30 different party manifestos. In this qualitative case study, the manifestos topics have been described, as well as its changes during these years. The analysis has been primarily focused on the topics of Economics and European integration. According to theoretical frame, we assume that the changes are made only in case of the significant changes of political environment. We also focus on the process of change, as the impact of party Conventions and Expertise. This analysis has been primarily based on the interviews made with current and past members of the party.

Advisory Bodies and Expertise in the Czech Politics - Epistemic Communities and the Influence on the Reforms of Higher Education and Pension System Master thesis Bc. Kateřina Merklová The Master thesis Advisory Bodies and Expertise in the Czech Politics - Epistemic Communities and the Influence on the Reforms of Higher Education and Pension System concerns with the relation between politics and expertise. So-called epistemic community represents the knowledge interpreter that we consider an independent actor in the political process. In the theoretical part of the text, we have explained the original definition of the concept as well as its critics and case studies that cover various contexts. Following most of the authors, we have applied a looser definition of the concept and deconstructed its rigid criteria. The empirical part of the thesis presents a case study (N=4) based on comparative methods that analyzes variable influence of four particular epistemic communities (the authors of the White Paper on Tertiary Education, Bezdek's Committee, Bezdek's Committee II, and the National Economic Council) on policy-making process and its sources. 1 Diploma thesis: Methods of investigation of sexual crimes (selected issues) Key words: Investigation, Rape, Sexual Abuse, Expert Opinion Summary This thesis deals with problematics of sexual crimes investigation. Since the area of investigating sexual crimes is very broad, I have limited the scope of my paper to investigation of the two most frequent types of crime, which are rape and sexual abuse. Regarding the operations usually performed during investigation, I have paid close attention to expert opinions. The purpose of this paper is to stress concrete specifics occuring during investigation, which is discussed throughout the chapters. Chapter One introduces acts of sexual crime (particularly the rape and the sexual abuse) from the criminal-law point of view as it is stated in the contemporary legal regulation in the Czech Republic. This chapter also provides statistical tables showing the evolutionary trend in the number of prosecuted and adjudicated sexual criminal acts of rape and sexual abuse between 2000 and 2010. Criminalistic characteristics of sexual criminal acts are looked at in Chapter Two, and Chapter Three presents common ways of committing sexual offences.
