Assessing the Financial Health of a Company Operating in International Environment and Proposals for Improvements

This diploma thesis is focused on assesing of the strategic position and financial situation of an internationally operating company Selltime s.r.o. in the period of 2016 – 2020. The thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part describes theoretical background, terms and methods. The following analytical part deals with the assessment of the external, intra-industry and internal environment of the monitored company and the evaluation of its financial health. The last part of this diploma thesis deals with the proposal of an expansion plan to a new foreign market.

Předmětem diplomové práce je návrh strategie expanze vybrané společnosti na slovenský trh. Vybraná společnost se zabývá výrobou, prodejem a pronájmem domů z recyklovaných lodních kontejnerů. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř částí. V úvodní části je vymezena problematika, stanoveny hlavní i dílčí cíle, kterých chceme dosáhnout a popsány použité metody. Teoretická část definuje základní pojmy řešené problematiky. Na tuto část navazuje analytická část s analýzou současného stavu společnosti a projektu vybraného k expanzi. Poslední část obsahuje vlastní návrhy řešení.

This thesis is a proposal of the strategy of Fermat CZ, s. r. o. for entering the Canadian market. The company is an engineering company, a professional manufacturer of horizontal boring and milling machines. It is a well-established, stable company operating on the Czech market and on the European, North American and Asian markets. The theoretical part of the thesis uses the latest information available on strategic analysis and conditions of entry into foreign markets. The practical part of the thesis presents the company Fermat CZ, s. r. o. based on the results of strategic and financial analysis. The design part of the thesis is devoted to the company's entry strategy into the Canadian market.

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na mezinárdoní expanzi již existující značky oblečení Pastel Hood, která si klade za cíl dodávat výrobky vysoké kvality s unikátním designem. Majitelé této značky se rozhodli rozšířit svůj obchod do zahraničí a Maďarsko bylo vybráno jako destinace pro tuto expanzi. Cílem této práce je vytvořit vhodný návrh na základě zvoleného teoretického rámce, jak přeformovat značku takovým způsobem, aby bylo možné úspěšně expandovat na tento trh. Tento cíl byl dosažen použitím několika analytických modelů k studiu celkového obchodního prostředí, stávající konkurence, zákazníků a názoru místních odborníků na téma expanze. Výsledkem je návrh ideálního stavu značky Pastel Hood pro zajištění maximální kompatibility a pro úspěch na maďarském trhu.

The subject of the diploma thesis is the presentation of a procedure manual for a Czech company with baby food products when entering the Vietnamese market. The company selected for the submission of the manual is engaged in the production and distribution of baby food for infants and young children. The work is divided into four parts. In the introductory part, the issue is defined, the main and sub-goals to be achieved by the diploma thesis are set, and the methods used are described. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts of the solved problem. This part is followed by an analytical part with an analysis of the current state of the company. The last part contains our own solution proposals, including an economic evaluation.
The Expansion of Service "Ideal Tenant" to New Local Markets

Masters’ thesis suggests the optimal measures for the expansion of the service called “Ideální nájemce” to the new local market, concretely to Prague. In the theoretical part the crucial theoretical know-how is characterized. Knowledge described in the theoretical part was essential for the problem analysis and the proposal part. Business plan and its parts are defined together with the recommendations on how to proceed with the expansion. Furthermore it contains the analysis of the inner and outer space of the firm, which are PEST analysis, Porter‘s model of competitive environment, marketing mix and SWOT analysis. In the problem analysis the present trends and current firm’s position on the market are described, together with the analysis of the new market. Proposal part is based on the previous findings which were used to specify the concrete suggestions on how to achieve the defined objective, which is the expansion to the Prague’s market.

Methods for Monitoring of Volume Changes of Cement and Polymer-modified Mortars

Bachelor thesis is focused on monitoring of volume changes in polymer-modified mortars. Using Czech and foreign literature searches are processed, in which mortars in general and ongoing chemical and physical processes are described. Thesis is further concerned with description of polymer-modified mortars and with explanation of polymer-matrix forming mechanisms. The following are noticed volume changes and experimental methods of their investigation. Experiment is performed by monitoring the volume changes in polymer-modified mortars using two selected methods. For comparison volume changes in gypsum are also measured.
