Online Comparators in Insurance Business

This bachelor thesis deals with problems of on-line insurance comparators. The theoretical part is devoted to the importance of insurance products, the pricing of insurance products, distribution channels of insurance products, on-line comparators and insurance products that can be arranged on them. Practical part deals with depth analysis of clients' awareness, behaviour and needs on the market of on-line comparators and the experience of clients with comparators, evaluates priorities, why they arrange insurance in this way and maps benefits to clients. The results of the questionnaire survey are formulated in the hypothesis evaluation. The conclusion summarizes its own findings and evaluation.
Price comparison websites in insurance

The aim of my Bachalor thesis is to analyze and assess the role of online comparison websites in the field of insurance on Czech and Slovak market. In the first chapter I focus on distribution of insurace products and I describe direct and indirect distribution channels. In the second chapter I characterize online comparison websites and their advantages and disadvantages. I examine the offer of chosen websites functioning on Czech and Slovak insurance market. By using my own questionare I study how often and why people use online comparison websites. In the last chapter I look at the possible impact of comparison websites on the insurance market. I base this mostly on experiences from the Great Britan where online comparison websites have been big player for a while. In the end of my thesis I explore how comparison websites might envolve in the future and how they can with other technological start-ups influence distribution of insurance products.
Online ways of distribution of a chosen hotel establishment.

This bachelor thesis adresses online ways of distribution that are used by a chosen hotel. Theoretical part approaches e-business and its part e-commerce phenomenon. It characterizes online travel market and takes a closer look on current trends that can influence the world of online travel. It characterizes different types of online distribution which is followed by a practical part, where primary data obtained from hotel Vinohrady are analysed. Using a comparation of obtained data, the thesis discovers which online distribution channel is the most effective and, on the contrary, which of those is not. In the conclusion, it offers a propositions for optimazing online distribution.
The air ticket booking portals in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis focuses on the air ticket booking portals in the Czech Republic. The aim is to analyse the relation between the air ticket booking portals and their Global distribution system (GDS). The theoretical part includes the definition of the online market afterwards characterizes the online travel market and clarifies the basic terms directly connected with the air ticket booking portals. The practical part examines the structure and the process of the reservation of the chosen air ticket booking portals. These portals are divided into two groups according to their GDS and then the observational method and the method of the model reservation are applied. Both groups are compared based on the gathered findings. SWOT analysis at the end of the thesis generally evaluates the air ticket booking portals.

The bachelor thesis is focused on analysis of internet reservation systems of a particular lodging facility. Theoretical part introduces the main topic of information technologies, gives characteristics of the main issues and states continuity with on-line sales forms in the field of lodging services. Besides that this part also represents on-line distribution channels of lodging facilities. Analytical part describes the unnamed aparthotel, evaluates the importance of each on-line distribution channel from its advantages, disadvantages and differences. In conclusion it advises recommendations in order to improve the co-operation with the unnamed aparthotel.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of internet reservation systems of a particular lodging facility. The theoretical part introduces the reader to the travel market, categorizes internet reservation systems and talks about distribution channel of lodging capacities. The analytical part describes the selected lodging facility and identifies the internet reservation systems that it uses. The portfolio of internet reservation systems is evaluated and it is determined, whether its composition is optimal. In conclusion, several ways to improve the sales and marketing strategies of the lodging facilities and changes in it's portfolio are suggested.
Distribution of Philips Oral Health Care products in the Czech Republic

This Master thesis is focused on topic of distribution channels and theirs practical application in distribution of Philips Oral Healthcare products on Czech market. The theoretical part is devoted to the physical structure of distribution channels, the parameters that define them, and the factors influencing their choice. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the relationships that exist between channel members, a system for management and direction of the common value added. The thesis is further concerned about relationships developed in between two channel members and presents a system for management of such relationships in order to develop them and deliver additional value. Under this approach the thesis further deals with the process of key customers selection and their further integration. In the next section a more detailed presentation of Philips Company is given, followed by description of oral healthcare market competition and distribution of end customers by their habits. Furthermore the thesis describes a practical example of Philips dealing with key customer in oral healthcare category. In order to fulfill the set objectives of the this thesis deep analysis of Philips current distribution channels takes place, followed by described anticipated development and proposed important area to ensure such development.
Cenová strategie vybraného hotelu

The main purpose of this thesis is an analysis of pricing strategy of Hotel Imperial and its evaluation, which should results in proposal of changes leading to increase of effectivity and hotel's income. The diploma thesis is divided into four main parts. The first two chapters are devoted to a theoretical description of pricing strategy and distribution channels used in hotel business. The third part is focused on the analysis of hotel itself and its pricing strategy. The final chapter summarises the results and contains the proposal how to improve the pricing strategy based on the results of the previous analysis.

Comparison of distribution channels of selected airlines

This thesis focuses on the distribution and comparison of different distribution channels, which are used in aviation. Theoretical knowledge is applied to the example of two major European airlines, KLM and Air France, which together form a group of Air France-KLM. The main objective is to compare the various distribution channels and to confirm or to refute the thesis that the vast majority of airline bookings is realized through the travel agencies. The first part focuses on the history of aviation, international organizations active in the aviation and on the actual distribution. Another section is devoted to airlines KLM and Air France. The last part deals with the differences between the various distribution channels and compares them based on specific data.
